    hotel fee

yes difficult to understand, at least with western logic. Might be because: - the guest is not registered and therefore doesn't qualify as the second person the room was booked for. If you register your guest, there should be no fee, though of course then you are stuck with that registerd guest, and bringing others on other days will not work, or rather incur the "joiner fee" - they want to discourage bringing "guests" to the rooms (for whatever reason, maybe because they don't want to be seen as supporting prostitution) - make some extra money off of the sex tourist - some inecplicable Thai logic
  2. Great writing! Looking forward to the next installment :-) Sounds like you might be my type actually hehe ;-) Too bad we didn't meet up as well, would have been no problem as I live here.
  3. I can't comment on or recommend any guys, as I haven't used their services. Knowing Thai people, I would expect them to be very friendly, helpful and just nice to be with. I have only used a similar service once, some 16 (!!) years ago (a gay guy as a guide to just the normal sightseeing stuff), and it was very nice to have a friendly and gay companion on the very first trip to Thailand. See forky's post regarding Ya. For more details I'd defer to Moses as per his post.
  4. if you need just a companion, rather than someone for bed (which you can get from the bars, or the apps), then look at http://bkktour.info. There have been good reviews here on the service, and they are supported (or the website is, rather) by this forum's member "Moses". Should be what you're looking for, trustworthy, friendly and gay companions.
  5. USP = unique selling point
  6. He already said he is dutch and has no visa requirement, i.e. no cost involved at all for the 2h stay. Seems you overlooked that post.
  7. Sounds awesome. A friend of mine from US had a fantastic time (for a whole weekend) with a Cambodian boy from Fresh Boys last year and will in fact meet him again in April on his next BKK visit. That boy was/is gay though. If I remember correctly he was number 27. Don't know what your policy regarding names/numbers is, but care to share the number of your lucky prize?
  8. I see. No not really awkward, as that must happen all the time for people who fly in and right out on different carriers and thus have to collect their luggage first for a new check in at the other airline, i.e. can't stay in the transit area, but have to enter & exit the country. Nothing awkward about that. I don't think there would be a different entry stamp for that situation, why would there be? You might change your mind or miss your other flight and thus stay longer than the intended 2 hours. What's the problem getting a 30 day stamp and then another one a few days later? Nobody cares. Only MINIMAL hassle is having to fill out the entry for twice, but that's really nothing....
  9. I like hornet most because of the functionality and multiple pictures. Grindr totally sucks fir functionality, limit to ONE SINGLE picture and limit to 100 guys (free version). Handling of Jack'd is a bit bothersome. Romeo I still use mostly on a laptop, coz that's where it came from and what I'm used to, hard to break old habits haha. Never heard of Blued....
  10. no issues whatsoever, don't you worry. Went there with a Thai friend 2 months ago, sharing hotel room as well, similar age difference. As fedssocr pointed out, reality on the ground is not like the reputation. In fact, if you didn't know about that law or reputation you would have no way of noticing it exists, as there are gay bars and even saunas just like everywhere else. Also, plenty of guys (normal non-MB guys, probably MBs as well) active on the apps. As for the visa: why get a tourist visa for your 2 h entry at all? Is it required for your nationality, i.e. can you not enter Thailand without any visa for 15 or 30 days like many western countries, ASEAN, etc.? If you really require a visa, then what you might be able to do is get a "re-entry permit" which you can get at a counter just before the passport control as you exit the country. If you don't know about this counter and don't care coz you don't need it it is easily overlooked, but if you do need it and look for it you can't miss it. As the name suggests, that re-entry permit allows you to re-enter under the same visa, even though it is single entry only and has already been used. I don't know if it is available for a tourist visa on arrival, though, but worth asking. I think the cost is about 2000, but not sure either, so maybe do some googling...
  11. even in October, interesting.... didn't see it - or forgot maybe haha. Well seems in typical Thai fashion there is no predictable schedule...
  12. Silom walking street: You are right in suspecting this is only weekends. In fact only on (some) Sundays in the cool season, from December to about February/March. It was on in January, then off so I thought it's over early this year, but then came back that Sunday you were there. As for foods there, something not easily found elsewhere is Gai Ob Ohng, or chicken roasted in a large earthen jar. The chicken are suspended from the rim along the inner wall of the jar, with a coal fire at the bottom. Makes for tasty, tender and juicy chicken. A whole is 180 Baht, half 90, and 2 legs 60. The Prime: Interestingly, I had the same professional experience with a guy there, he even completely ignored my erection (which I was unable to avoid lol). When I booked him again, the same happend. However the third time it wasn't ignored and he gave a HE. 600 was very generous indeed, as explained in my post before. As for your conclusion that the combination course Thai+oil might yield a very good masseur, sounds like an interesting logic I can agree with. However, while I like the very strong oil massage by that same guy just mentioned, I also tried his Thai massage one time but didn't find it that great. Hmmm....Conlcusion: you can never know in advance. If you get a really good one, get his name and book again. Tawan: I am no expert on the whole off-thing, but why would he be "unattainable"? Money talks and if you off, you off and pay for it. And you don't know what to do after sex? What do you do in "normal" life after sex? Cuddling, talking, enjoying the company, .... just treat him as your BF of the moment, which is I believe something what many are delivering as part of the deal, so to speak. They are not machines, but normal human beings, so you can spend time with them just with any other one, BF, ONS or whatever....
  13. Seems this was not discussed then with the board members you met, so here you go: Well, actually, you are not required to tip at all for a proper massage. However, in the touristy areas it is of course expected, especially from farangs and other foreigners. But Thais typically tip as well as far as I know. But it is not required. Except Prime which asks for a minimum of 100 as posted above (same at The Green I think, which happens to be run by a former Prime employee (or maybe even current and they are affiliated?), hence the similar decor and same tea and cold (or was it hot? can't remember now) towel at the end). Depending on the quality and duration of the massage (almost always do 1.5 hrs, though), I give anything between 100 and 300, more only if really really outstanding. If there is a HE, then the tip becomes 500, possibly more if the massage itself was very good, too. Have given up to 1000 at Prime for fantastic massage plus HE. In another case 700 or 800 for a massage that was not as strong as I like, but very sensual and thus super-enjoyable, plus an expert, far above average HE. Hope this helps as tip guidance.
  14. nice reports, looking forard to the sequel(s) Foodland: Yes, that's the one and only Foodland in Patpong. There is no foodcourt or similar of that name. Foodland is a Bangkok supernarket chain. Nothing special about it. The Patpong branch added their restaurant area in front only a few years ago, and it has a very cheap breakfast, which is why it has earned visits and mentioons by vinapu (where you probably got the idea to go there from). The Prime: that is not correct, you can also walk in after 4pm. it just happens that sometimes in the late afternoon/evening they are fully booked, i.e. all rooms (not necessarily all measseus, you can still see some outside) are occupied, so booking miught be recommendalbe, but is not a requirement. Authentic Thai Massage at The Gree: You chose oil massage, which is techincally not what is typically meant by "authentic thai massage". "Autherntic" aka tradintional Thai massage is done without oil and while wearing VERY loose fitting pants (usually fishermamns pants) and shirt, both always provided. As it is clothed, it is less (or not at all) sensual, and the technique is very different. But still highly recommended and enjoyable. Depending on my mood or current muscle pain I choose either traditional Thai or oil. The Green massage: You shouldn't be surprised by the availability of HE in ANY massage shop in Silom/Surawong area. It is available at ALL of them, including (to a lesser extent) The Prime. Whether or not it is offered depends on the individual masseur. Some offer it by asking, some ask to be tipped for it, with or without specifying an amount, some just proceed to do it without asking anything at all (customers willingness to have it usually indicated by raging hard on during an oil massage haha). Your 300 tip was on the generous side for a non-HE massage, so sure he was happy. The Prince: Kinda odd that you didn't choose the 1.5hr massage which is hardly more (only 200b) than the 1hr, considering you tipped 1500 anyway. So tipping the minimum 1500 for 1.5hr and paying up just 200 you could have had much more value for money. Any particular reason? Tawan: just a side-note on this: I always find it somewhat amusing that the muscle men there are referred to as "boys"....
  15. sometimes one can find things that have vanished from the web in http://archive.org/web/
  16. Spa Bangkok (spabangkok.net) offers a tantric massage, which is a lingam massage and clearly not a hand job. I had it twice some time ago. You're not supposed to cum, and in fact tell the masseur if you come close so he will slow down. At the end comes the "big draw", so really really no cum. However, it is nice to have a nice oil massage afterwards, which will finally release the pent up energy ;-)
  17. sounds nice, thanks for reports. have a question: at Thaiboy Men's Spa, do they have a minimum tip? if yes I guess that's what you gave. If not, how much did you tip given that he wanted to provide full service yet you declined?
  18. yeah culturally not accepted, and shyness about nudity is very common. Public nudity doesn't exist to the best of my knowledge. Go to Bali for nudist resorts.
  19. have rimmed countless guys, and many returned the favor. So in generalisation terms the answer is yes, "they" are into it. Whether or not they actively rim may depend on your age/looks/hairiness. Note that my experiences in this field are mostly with non-MBs
  20. they are ALL shown as 7" and above! re. Men101: they actually have 2 pictures of real bathrooms with shower on their website. So either those don't exist, are not operational, or you weren't shown to them for unknown reasons

    PrEP

to add to the health links: another place to get tested is Silom Community Clinic http://www.silomclinic.in.th/ The name is misleading now, because it is no longer located in Silom (used to be in the Bangkok Christian Hospital on Silom before), but understandably they retained the name after moving.
  22. And I thought was the laziest walker on the planet - but even I wouldn't even remotely consider taking a taxi for that short distance!!!! ;-)) According to Google maps it is 350m
  23. well some more detail on your research project might be helpful. You couldn't be more vague in your first post..... just mention research, ladyboys and a book. that's it. Anyway, you'll be in Pattaya, I live in Bangkok, so maybe you'll find someone else to hang out with there.
  24. for ladyboy expertise, you may want to contact vessey on this forum. To the best of my knowledge, he is the only (active) member here with such interest and lots of experience
  25. I do not assume everyone on the social apps is commercial, and the non-commercial guys go there just as everyone else. I have little trouble finding hook ups there, if and when I want it (admittedly not that often haha). My guess is that it very much depends on your own age and looks if non-commercial guys are interested or not, not on their presence (or perceived lack of it) in those apps. The commercial boys of course are always interested, regardless of age/looks, so easy to get a response from, or even being contacted by them first. As for false information, can't really report of that. Though what I did discover over time is that Thais (Asians) in general tend to look somewhat different in pictures than in real, even if it is a current and normal picture. Really don't knwo why that is, but it's an observation I make over and over again.
