+1 Must be the Chinese who love that stuff....

Well there are in fact such grooming services available, at least in Bangkok. At Up2You Hair Salon, 2nd floor of Charn Issara Tower (off of Soi Thaniya, there's a back entrance to the building) as well as Cutey&Beauty in Thaniya Plaza. The do waxing (which I have done), but I have no doubt they would to trimming and shaving as well

the western clientele of the past 25 years are simply a declining species. The bulk of this clientele (actually both gay and straight) is/was older guys well past their prime and/or not in the best of body shapes (no offence to anyone, here or outside this board). They become too old to travel and eventually pass away. There is hardly a new generation of such people following in their footsteps as those grew up gay into a much more open society when it comes to being openly gay. Also, being younger, they are much more likely to embrace first the internet (think Romeo) and now the apps. Yes there are younger western gays going to the gogo bars, but their numbers are minimal compared to the previous, older group. This is just my personal theory. There will presumably be other factors at play, too.

He is in a new video on Moonlight's fb page: https://www.facebook.com/MoonlightBangkok/videos/473450963232815/ Honestly, I think it looks awful. His previous hairstyle was fitting and enhancing his boyishness so much... this just looks ugly.
-
did you say hi and start a conversation? or just staring, petrified? hahaha
-
eeewwwww, can't imagine that. Thought his longish hair suited is boyish babyface so well. Trying to look more butch or what? Taking away one selling point IMO. But then again, I'll have to see the new hair cut for myself to really say.

Very nice massage reports. Like you, I also like the uncertainty element, which is why I rarely (if ever) to to the full service shops. Seems plenty of choice in Pattaya, where I also never go lol.
-
As solution to this is to write the report outside the forum website in whatever word editor you use on your phone/tablet/laptop, and then, when finished, just copy and paste it into the forum. This is particularly useful for lengthy posts like reports, as it also allows you to take a break from the writing and save a draft, to be completed later looking forward to extra insights

I doubt it... what makes you think he works/worked there? Couldn't glean that from the google-translated version of the article

Bangkok or Pattaya? An long-time poster asks for advice
anddy replied to numazu's topic in Gay Thailand
unsurprisingly, I voted Bangkok. For one I simply don't like Pattaya, but also for the selfish reason that it might give me an opportunity to meet you and hear all about your brazilian life . Of course, as others have said, only by taking a look for yourself can you gauge whether or not you like the change in the bar scene. At the end of the day, though, a bar is a bar, and the Asian boys are the Asian boys their charms we all know and love. So apart from some new, external environment you already know what you are getting. -
thank you, that's interesting I never knew they had numbers at massage shops....

interesting, I tend to feel more or less nothing.... And teeth I find a big no-no, but then maybe that's different with a condom; can't tell coz of my super limitedexperience. fully agree with that. Just if he were to ask ME to put on a condom for him to suck me, I'd probably decline (i mean to get sucked, not insist on sucking without the condom) due to the lack of fun for me. In no way would it have an impact on the tip.

lovely and enlightening reporting. I'm always looking for masseurs who can give - to quote you - "just a great massage". Usually my (and I think yours) go-to place for that is Prime, but some variety won't hurt. Also, to my chagrin, my all time favorite from Prime, Rut, seems to have left for his province for good. Found Oh to be very good for me, too, but maybe only 80% on the Rut-scale. So having said all that, might be going to try NoonE (probably Noo-nee I'm guessing).... being fully aware that what constitutes "a great massage" can vary wildly from person to person. No loss trying

not at all. If you wanna be sexually active there is no sure way to avoid infections. Obviously, using condoms goes a long way and are not the subject of the post. Kissing can't be done with a condom, the same goes for sucking (for most people; it CAN be done of course, but it's about ZERO fun for both parties). So how do you avoid catching Syphilis, Gonorrhea et al.? Well, you can't and you won't. So far from promoting ignorance and stupidity I'm promoting regular testing for ALL STI's, not just HIV for which there is a lower probability of catching it that the others (provided condoms or PrEP or best both are used). Which goes to support my point of getting tested regularly. Especially the sex workers using the free services available to them.

ChristianPFC told me about his experience at the new Superboys bar on Patpong1 a couple of weeks ago: drink 300 boy drink 300 off fee 400 tip 1500 But Lucky Boys does seem to set their rate at 2k. So maybe the market is still in the process of finding a new equilibrium aka going rate.
-
that bar going rate seems to have gone up quite recently, maybe even coinciding with the Twilight-Patpong move. Seems I've been reading here of 1500 as the going rate in most bars (not Moonlight and such) until very recently, but maybe my memory is failing me.....

there is a trick to logging in that did it for me: do NOT log in using the login-button or whatever on top of the page. Instead, open any thread, and somewhere at the bottom there will be a "reply" button (or even the quick-reply text box, not sure if that also appears when not logged in, doesn't matter). Then try to reply, which you can't as un-logged-in viewer, then a box will pop up prompting you to log in. THERE THERE WILL BE A CHECK-BOX "REMEMBER ME". Tick that and go. Well anyway, that was how it was and worked FOR ME shortly after the transition of the site.
-
whatever, no risk no fun. I like kissing too, and I don't really care about diseases that could be transmitted that way, as those are easily treatable and curable. Big deal to catch Syphilis, get a shot and it's done with. Just be sure to get tested on a regular basis. Or else lead a no risk no fun life.

to chip in a little bit from my small part in ggbkk's trip: very pleasant evening together last night. Original plan was to meet at Hotmale beer bar to toast on Paulsf and then go for dinner from there. Plan was changed on short notice due to heavy rain just half an hour before meeting time, so decided to meet at Silom Complex for dinner first, then take it from there. Luckily by 7:30 the rain had already stopped even though it was quite a downpour. Nice dinner with some drinkable inexpensive wine and chocolate dessert. Ggobkk's plan had been to not really go out and retire to the hotel early, but of course after dinner a drink at Hotmale was in order. Toast on esteemed member @paulsf was duly executed While out and about anyway already, we decided to have a look at Lucky Boys to see if his Cambodian off Hab from a prior night was there. He wasn't, so ggobkk stuck to his original plan to go home alone. We left just after the show. The bar was not full but not empty either. As the show drew to it's end after 11pm quite a lot of new people came into the bar. During the show a boy sitting to the side of the stage by himself took an interest in me. I flirted back, but no more. A bit later he was called over to another table and offed. As we left I briefly greeted him, found out he is from Myanmar and even cuter from up close than the distance. Parted with a red note and promise to meet again soon.... Overall, very nice meeting ggobkk for the first time, very pleasant company and conversation indeed. Meet again next trip

yeah whatever.... 1. "the cabinet approved" the new rule. That doesn't mean it will ever come into effect or be enforced (TiT, after all) 2. there was a big hype recently about the altered 800k bank deposit requirement, in particular that the deposit now needs to be at least 800k for at least 3 months AFTER the extension. Well, I also renewed/extended about a couple of weeks ago, and nobody even mentioned anything at all about that. That in and of itself doesn't mean much either, that new rule may or may not be looked at then the next renewal is due in a years time.... 3. there was also some drama posts in a facebook group about immigration now asking for TM30 from the applicant (even though TM30 is technically an obligation of the landlord, not the tenant/applicant, but again TiT) and a big deal was made out of the fact that they have a separate setion at Immi for filing TM30, woohaa! Well, upon my renewal, that was also a complete non-event. My whole renewal went completely identical as last year (except this time it took much longer lol, ostensibly due to an internal meeting). I'm with Gaybutton here, such news are best ignored. But thanks anyway for sharing!

they do change THB to any foreign currency at rates that are just as good as their buying rates. For the major currencies like EUR USD GBP the spread between buying and selling is minimal
-
... which happens to be right around the corner from Superrich Silom branch. If they have the same rates, it's certainly better than SR which usually has long queues at the Silom branch (Silom Complex branch I found to be less busy)
-
maybe the Superrich "Visit Thailand Card" debit card is an option, too. It's advertised actively in their branches. I haven't checked terms & conditions as it's not relevant to me. Link: https://www.superrich1965.com/newDetail.php?id=5b922e21cf606c035e23e223
