  1. I'll go with you if you need company I can imagine another member currently in town might join too....
  2. well I can't say this is true for me. I always go directly to gayguides.com/forums/forum/3-gay-thailand/ and the forum just opens as normal, in logged-in status. No issues whatsoever.
  3. You sure made the most of the trip! Pleasure meeting you, too
  4. uhm well the easiest and guaranteed to be effective way is to simply as for two room keys when checking in. When booking a double room (which most are anyway) it is (or should be) standard procedure (at least to me) to issue two keys
  5. welcome back! Incredibly busy 3-boy day.... No way I could manage that haha, chapeau! So should we meet up as discussed earlier in this thread?
  6. haha, well sich videos can be found and viewed online. I probably could get a DVD but didn't request it as they didn't find anything at all and to come back in 10 years. So no use for such DVD, other than vinapu's idea for a Christmas viewing
  7. yeah maybe... provided they actually centrally collate those data and do cross checks as you suggest. I kinda doubt that's happening, but that would be MY risk to take obviously.
  8. you can staple the card to your passport to prevent it from falling out. Sometimes immigration officers already do that. Otherwise, your first hotel certainly will have a stapler at reception this and the fact that lost TM6 departure card is no issue at all and can be replaced by new one (I have seen this happen at the airports many times) goes to show how utterly use- and pointless the whole TM6 is. There was talk to scrap it when they redesigned and did scrap it for Thai citizens but in the end didn't simply because the TAT (NOT immigration police) wanted to keep it to tally up some tourism statistics. Presumably, zero information from the TM6's is actually collated for any statistics.... so why have this kind of old fashioned paper form? TiT !!
  9. ah ok, @spoon in the post above got why I was asking
  10. what day of the week was this? Friday by any chance?
  11. it took 20-30 minutes, no more. No idea what equipment costs, google probably knows... but presumably there are ancillary costs that go with such procedures, such as sterilizing the equipment after each use, possibly removable & disposable parts, etc etc. Do you consider 300 EUR a fortune? I don't....
  12. this was at a private doctor's practice (not a hospital), with private billing, so yes, that's what you would pay.
  13. not that begs an explanation - how come YOU know, of all indeed very obscure places, Mrauk U? I wouldn't even know how to pronounce it Great report as always, impressive stamina as always, fun to read how much fun you had
  14. got the bill for the colonoscopy today. The actual colonoscopy itself EUR 300, plus sedation 50, plus miscellaneous other charges related to the examination, total bill just over EUR 500, the equivalent of about 17,000 Baht. Seems about the same as in BKK.
  15. Germany
  16. I'm back in ton by then, too. Maybe we can make it a 3-some (for drinks&chat )?
  17. go-go-go!!!!!
  18. Just done my first ever colonoscopy yesterday. Was given propofol, which makes it a rather pleasant experience (as the doctor promised when talking me into it, had originally planned on doing it without to follow the proceedings on the monitor). Nothing found, so was told next time in 10 years. Don't know the price yet, will get the bill probably next week and report back here to compare to prices in BKK.
  19. standard vinapu performance - but I do envy it too haha
  20. keep reporting, your excitement of the first-timer is refreshing and contagious As planned, I'll be back on the 20th so let's see if we can go out or something
  21. you should have filled the gap by getting one for him!!!!

    sending money

yes Western Union is very fast (they presumably don't actually "transfer" the money cross border, it's basically all internal) and very easy for both sender and recipient - BUT at a price, it is outrageously expensive. The stated fees are steep already, plus a horrible exchange rate maybe 5 or even 10% away from market rates (depending on the currency). Massive rip-off machine. But yes, very useful at times lol
  23. yeah I've been reading about it too. Lot of hype and panic it seems.... At my last extension on April 30 nobody even remotely mentioned it at Immigration. Doesn't have to mean anything going forward though, I know. But then, it seems impossible to monitor anyway IMO. My landlord obviously doesn't have a clue of when and where I go. Neither does immigration know about my whereabouts (unless I do the TM30 myself). So if nobody knows I'm moving about, then there is no missing TM30 for such unknown movements right? Having said that, if I go to another province and stay at a hotel that hotel will do a TM30, and then immi could reconcile that with a (missing) landlord TM30 upon my return. WIll they do that? I seriously doubt it. If they did find out somehow and bring it up at extension time, worst is paying a fine (maybe 2000) which is probably what all this is about in the first place (or was it national security? Ah yes, all the criminals and illegal immigrants will of course diligently file the TM30's ROFL)
  24. so why not Hotmale? Having said that, it is not a common thing to do AT ALL for a member if the audience to go on stage in a gogo bar. I've only ever seen it that one time at Hotmale, and it was great fun for all involved. So if you get a kick out of it, just do it If it helps, I'd be happy to go with you and cheer you on Otherwise, you may want to consider the o-party at Sauna Mania, see Bravo's recent report from it here:
  25. not that I'm aware of.... there is a str8 one called BarBar in Patpong 2, but that's obviously not an option lol
