Sounds you had a very good and fulfilling time, in several different ways. The Indonesian PhD student sounds interesting indeed! I just reconnected with a 40yo indonesian I first met at my language school about 4 years ago. Nice indeed It was also a treat meeting you, got chocolate and super interesting conversation over a very wide range of topics. Learned some very interesting things, too

that should not be a reason to avoid a place. Lack of oxygen is probably not the reason they asked for your ID. More likely: (1) they couldn't guess your age because you are a farang (so take it as a compliment) (2) They have a general rule to card EVERYONE, regardless of nationality and/or looks (3) They had a recent police check which found a sloppy handling of the ID check (such as letting people like you through without it) and thus beccame strict (for a while, TiT). I've been asked for ID at DJ before, though not last time a month or so ago (also obviously looking over 20). But I have experienced this sort of thing many many times in the US, where they'd just mindlessly card EVERYONE, and that means EVERYone, even if they look like our own great-grandpa. The reason being give? "It's the law"). So don't blame it on them, they probably get pressure from somewhere. This being Thailand, that will go away sooner or later (it already did like I said), unlike the US where they just keep doing it because "it's the law". -

he didn't say anything to that effect, i.e. paid sex what are your dates? If I'm free I could meet up with you and guide you around. I live close to Silom, so would be easy -

I remember well you did that and seeing a picture of it. I thought it was so sweet of you. But then again, so is he, really REALLY sweet boy indeed. You sure had a great time with him in the bar, so did I the times I had the pleasure of joining you I've been to LB a couple of times or so with other members in recent weeks, but I haven't seen him. But I didn't actively look out for him, so dunno if he is still there or not.

Stunner. Goes to show why our long-missed writer @numazu loves going to Brazil so much these days.

was great to welcome you back after such a long time and catch up About Patpong: Patpong 2 because the wider road running parallel to it, where the night market and more girlie (and one or two boy) bars are, is called "Thanon Patpong" or Patpong Road (though not called Patpong 1), so the smaller one is Patpong 2. Relocating to the "straight" side might look interesting on the surface, but in reality it was probably the most obvious choice, or maybe there was no real choice at all. That's because Patpong is one of the few dedicated entertainment districts in Bangkok, which allows for such venues. Also that designation allows bars to (legally) stay open until 2 am. You might recall that bars in old Twilight closed at 1 am because they were outside the district, making Screwboys the exception and the obvious late night choice. In addition, the whole Patpong area is privately owned (by, you guessed it, the Patpong family (or their descendants)) meaning that the city government has no or not much say over it. That's why they can close Patpong Road every night and have the night market there undisturbed by city policies to "clean up" street vendors. The regular police of course still have jurisdiction over the area, but that's not an issue because as we all know there is no prostitution happening there at all, same as in Walking Street Pattaya.

Lon Lon Local Diner Located on the ground floor of Trinity Silom Hotel, just off BTS Chong Nonsi. It's actually two restaurants in one, and they really have two menus (one on the front, one on the back of the large menu card), "Lon Lon Local Diner" and "The Local Canteen". The latter is supposed to be there only temporarily while they renovate their own space just around the corner., but who knows lol Anyway.... The food is really good and they have things you don't get in run-of-the-mill Thai restaurants. https://goo.gl/maps/vZHHwsFoES6nTfub6

Thanks for great reports, nice to read you had a good time Uh, this begs the question how did cum get onto your SHOULDER? Unless the source guy was standing on something it implies you were on your knees or something LOL. If you were standing upright, and no guy around standing on a bed or bench in the dark area, then it wasn't cum but dripping water from the aircon, which happens there. Awww you should have stayed a little longer at least to watch whats happening.... Yes customers can join in, it just works on first come, first serve basis. Many are too shy to join in (they just watch) so it's actually not that difficult to get to play with the models.

you (and others) find him good looking, I honestly (no offence to anyone, including the guy) find him ugly (with or without beard). I only say this to highlight how pointless it is to swap recommendations here (unless the people involved already know the other's tastes well). But nothing wrong with sharing experiences of course
-
interesting and somewhat surprising as some member reported about some issues at Siam Heritage not that long ago. But it's a direct answer to a direct question (provided they understood the question correctly)
-
it's not just the Asian guys, haven't you noticed beards have been a global fashion trend in the last 3-5 years or so? I'm NO fan of that AT ALL, either!
-
I'd recommend you not stay at Siam Heritage or Tawana, visitors may be an issue there
-
was wondering, too, if they covered any gay parts, but I don't believe so. @reader would be able to tell, or me when I finally visit. Kinda wouldn't make that much sense to have it actually, as the history the museum focuses on didn't have that (yet).
-
walked past the other night and asked the friendly Black Pagoda ladies about it. They gave me this brochure:

saw this too, the ever resourceful reader of course beat me to it to post it here Will certainly check out the museum in due course

no worries, thanks for clarifying though Happy to hear he landed a new job there, so for sure I'll go there for my next waxing again then and hope he will be there
-
thanks for the update! I'm not aware of a cute Cambodian coworker, only guy I had contact with (for waxing) was Burmese....

as almost always with such questions, the answer is: it depends. It depends on what you PERSONALLY like. If you like sweeping city vies from the highest point in town, it's great. If such views don't do anything for you, then no. The "glass tray" skywalk is a special gimmick many get a kick out of. Can be fun to play with that and take pictures when sharing the experience with someone. But again, depends on YOU, not the venue.... Vinapu and some boys he took there certainly enjoyed it, as per his report.... What I found almost cooler than the observation deck and glass tray was the elevator ride with video displays all around and on the ceiling
