Too bad this "mileage" earnings went away and is now based on ticket price, no matter how many miles. I used to get enough miles on a BKK trip to pay for a Brasil trip,,,,I understand why they changed it and often wondered what took them so long, but still don't like it.

I usually pick weird routing, rather than fight for flight segments the end of the year for status...Went Boston-Newark-Houston-Sao Paulo- Santos Dumont, all biz class except for the the last leg on Azul. Bought this ticket last July for 2100usd confirmed Business, was a good fare, I thought. I'm staying at Atlantico and the hotel is full with 1 working elevator, but I still like this place. I was so tired, I almost fell asleep and didn't go to Point but I snapped out of it and got there a little after 6pm..... It was packed, both customers and GP's.....I could've gone with at least 7 or 8 there but I'm not a rabbit like so many here, lol I went with a 19 yr old, very humble back to the hotel. He only asked for 150, I gave him 200......good to see Point so busy, Junior was working the bar as well.

I don't know this to be true...I've heard this so many times that it could be urban legend. Some saunas make the boys enter as a client their 1st time until they prove themselves....I've been in with random hookups that entered as a boy so to pay the cheaper cover. I never knew about this....too bad so many have had problems, seems like the daytime is more dangerous than night, good thing I don't go out before 5pm. There's 2 taxi drivers outside of Lagoa on most nights. Douglas an older gentleman with a very nice car and Paulo, a louder crazy funny guy....I use Douglas to take me to the airport, he matches Uber prices. But they don't speak English I believe, Douglas might, I forget. Also, Lagoa is in a safe neighborhood, waiting outside for a ride is no problem.

Feel free to do a poll in the Brasil forum to how many have actually had a problem....Houston and Chicago aren't safe for that matter. I've had problems in Brasil, but they were because I went looking for it.....😉 Since I've learned to follow the advice of Gremlins, nothing good happens after midnight, I've been fine, lol
