Questions about DR (comparison with Brazil)
floridarob replied to NickM's topic in Gay Domican Republic
NO, except Cuba has been off my radar of favorite places for years now and I wouldn't go now or in the near future 🥺 Venezuelans are pretty hot and can be found in Colombia and Colombians are hot, so like visiting 2 places at once, lol -
How do you feel about multi-millionaires passing out the hat?

Because he's Spielberg, he can't be scammed? Bernie Madoff got a lot of people, no? -
Don't go too early, wait for the younger guys to get tipsy... they really can't hold their alcohol and they lose their inhibitions. You won't be the youngest one there but won't be the oldest by far. If you're looking for hookups, like all gay bars, you're more desirable if you are a top..... or have wealth, which is also relative ☺️

Words shift depending on country, culture, and language. In Mexico you’ll hear “chino,” “hindú,” and “gringo” used pretty casually. You’ll even see places called “Oriental City.” Aren't languages fun 🙂

Is about what I was going to reply last night before going to bed. With that being said... I have a 8 hr layover in Japan next month That I will be asking questions about the different places to meet hired guys. All my previous trips to Japan were to saunas and bars/clubs, will be my first time paying as their rate seems in line with what the end cost is in BKK these days. I find Japan confusing and even though it has a huge public transportation system, I'm always afraid I'll miss my stop or leave the wrong exit and get lost...I often wonder if this is how tourists feel in NYC.

Very good detailed post, I haven't been to BCN in awhile, I used to go pretty frequently and was a regular at the bar. -
Questions about DR (comparison with Brazil)

My perspective on this is that guys in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, even the coasts of Colombia, are hot blooded. Not just in bed, but temperament wise. Things can flip from chill to aggressive pretty quickly if someone feels disrespected or jealous.... latinos are posesivo and jealous, lol More laid back than Brazil? In my opinion, no. Different energy, yes. Less intense? Not necessarily. Would that stop me from going? NO. One thing to remember, hotels give you an extra layer of security. There is staff, cameras, someone at the desk if a guy gets annoying or decides to show up uninvited later. Just make sure you book somewhere that allows visitors. Once you have established a few regulars and know who is who, then maybe Airbnb makes more sense. -

@Suckrates beat me to it 😆 My friends that introduced me to "soup dumplings" gave me the same lesson in the video..... I don't like guys cumming in my mouth, maybe that's the part of the "gastronomic" experience that makes it better for you? No need to ask suckrates, I think we already know that answer there.

Not to mention with all the different fonts it looks like a ransom note using newspaper clippings 😄 -
You bite the tip or side before you put it in your mouth, to be clear 😏 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/h70GdtAkEOw or https://www.rd.com/article/how-to-eat-soup-dumplings/

I've never been but have wanted to go visit and have thought about possibly moving there because the extreme heat in Merida Spring/summer is ridiculous. I was in some expat groups for there and a bunch of gringos moved there from here and like it, although my friends in Mexico City say I'd be too bored there. It has the highest average wage in Mexico because a lot of multi-nationals have their offices there, not in CDMX like you might think. Laid out similar to Merida, a historical centro and a newer, more modern area to the north, I've also heard that the narcos have been moving in all around the city and there is speculation that soon, they will be inside the city as well... who knows. I have a friend in California that's from Durango, a place you don't hear much about, even in Mexico. I've played map games with my local friends and none have a clue to where Durango is 😄

To be a fly on the wall when that took place, the poor psychiatrist would need a psychiatrist after that consult. Not from a health standpoint from the sounds of it 🙄

I’m pretty sure that was you… or at least one of you on a confident day 😅

Ditto. My first trip to Morocco was during Ramadan too. Total accident. I’d already booked everything, flights, hotels, the whole thing. I was living in Orlando at the time, lot's of Tunisians and Moroccans there. One of my Moroccan friends, the VERY religious one, was thrilled for me. “It’s the most beautiful time to go, you’ll experience the real Morocco,” etc. Then my other friend from Agadir found out my dates and literally yelled, “CANCEL IT NOW.” He’s the modern, likes-to-party type who is basically Muslim during Ramadan and Ramadan only. He said everyone would look like zombies during the day, no food, no water, no coffee, just people hiding in bed so they don’t think about it. Boring city vibes until sunset. Honestly… he wasn’t wrong. Daytime was quiet and low energy. But once the sun went down? Different story. Horny guys are horny guys 😁 Definitely better NOT during Ramadan.... And my tour guide told me he was “ill,” which apparently meant he was allowed to eat, drink, and smoke hash.... A LOT of Hashish 🚬

I do.... leaves more for you guys 😏
