I did have a good talk with the owner here as well as the partner that runs Dream Boys and Boys Bangkok (as well as G.O.D.). Westerners are not the demographic they are trying to capture, it's the Asian Market. Said they come here with fistfuls of cash wanting to spend it. Americans only account for 2% he said and with the economy and the cost of flightss, so few of us come here, we're not worth the time or attention and we are more price conscious, lol I'm reading some posts on another message board mostly Singaporeans and they travel here like most people take a bus somewhere.

what about Sauna Mania, I just talked to someone on gayromeo tonight that said he went there....any good for foreigners?

Has anyone been to Chakran sauna? I've been to Babylon a couple of times this trip and just too many westerners for me, I would like to try this other sauna but don't want to go all the way there if it's not worth the trip, so any input?

I was indifferent...not worth another trip out there, if it were on Silom, I'd stop and try another type burger and get a side of fries...I only had a Coke Zero ;-), so the drink price didn't affect me. I did use the 20% coupon, that's why I'm surprised that no one has replied to the review on their Facebook page.

I took the journey out there- Bangkok Burger Company- with my German friend that works out here and has lived here full time for 6 yrs.... he summed up our visit and posted this to their Facebook page with no reply as of yet. The guy that said he was the owner said he is negotiating a lease in the Silom area. he wrote "We have been there on a Thursday evening around 8pm. For the time of our visit we were the only guests. Music changed all the time, from House to Oldies. Service staff is friendly but lost when asking something ("How big is the large size burger?" "It's bigger."). Burgers are well presented but even the large size is kind of small. French fries are delicious but counted. We left hungry. Drinks are expensive. We had to pay cash, no cards accepted; but they didn't inform us earlier. Toilets are outside, no towels and need to be cleaned."

what is the going rates in bkk?

I'm off to Bangkok on Monday for 2 months.... Haven't been there in 6 years, I hope I get use to the weak dollar Anything I should be aware of that has changed much? I guess it's nice to be fresh meat but I don't like when people think they can take advantage because they think you are new though,lol I've been hanging mostly in Central America, Cuba and Brasil but have been in the mood for Thai food and some good massages!
