I had the opposite on my trip, SP guys were fine with 100 and Rio guys were asking 150 and sticking to it

People have responded negatively to my posts, either here or other forums. I usually justify myself and end say something like, everyone's entitled to their opinions....I don't get offended, at least I don't think I do... If you look at my original reply, I said this was a very good read, however something stood out to me and it had nothing to do with Paulo's mental state or trying to kill himself.....just the line of him needing honesty, and that struck me as ironic. The real "sickness" that many/most of us suffer here is a sexual addiction, same as drug, coffee, cigarette, alcohol, gambling...etc addictions..... and that is obvious by the number of programas done just in one day, like binge drinking...but this is a completely different topic.

My comments were from my perspective and MANY years of being in Brasil, Thailand, Cuba to mention a few places. I am still in touch with guys I've met 15 yrs ago..in all those places. I speak Spanish, Portuguese fairly well (some Thai, but many Thai's speak English)....I've hung out with many guys, that I've never had sex with and listened to the stories of how they are like actors....crying, being sad, needing money for school or their kids (that they don't even have). There's just so much experience that's difficult to share......but , like I said, many times...If it makes you feel better, if you want to go throw 100 dollar (or Euro) bills of your balcony....do it, it's your money. Tom can attest to this, how many guys, down the road will email or text, call and say that they need money for ____________ fill in the blank. It's par for the course, imagine how many clients these guys have every week, month, year....is staggering. And just a small percentage agree and send them something........I flat out say no and most say ok, Thanks...others persist to a point I have to block them. I like Copa (have status with them so always upgraded)...except their flight times arriving/leaving Brasil are usually in the 2-6am range. Lan is part of ONEWORLD and Copa is Star Alliance...if you don't have either, you can join Copa's own program for future Copa trips, their upgrades are easy, generally.

I've been coming to Brasil for 18 yrs now.....what seems like a little money for us is not relevant. Like Axiom said, programas used to be 50 for a LONG time....even when the exchange rate peaked at 4-1 (12.50 usd for a programma). Many were free spending and overpaying....made us unpopular with the locals, we were pricing them out of the market. So always kills me when I hear stories of what some people are paying....I wonder when they book there hotel room or take a taxi, do they pay double thinking that it's too cheap? I don't tip extra for the boys...however, I make sure to tip the bartender, waiters, etc...

To each their own...I've been going to Fragata 17 yrs now and always find someone to take home....don't care for the rooms there. I was just there last week.....the clients are friendly and alot have known each other for years.

Is why I live in Mexico....I know most of the country pretty well. However, I travel to Thailand, Brasil (I'm here now) and Cuba frequently. Although places have changed priorities for me....Mexico is , for the money, still #1 with me.

And as far as how good it is for a top....AMAZING asses, big bubble butts.... and Latinos (I consider Brazilians one level above latinos actually) are VERY passionate in bed and NOT shy at all....clothes come right off, they love walking around the hotel/apt naked...love their pictures taken, some even like to use your phone to record the action if you want. Massages are more expensive here as are hotels...and many nationalities need a visa to visit. Sao Paulo has some amazing world class restaurants , but typically more expensive than Thailand. Just like Thailand there is more than just Rio & Sao Paulo...(Fortaleza, Recife, Porto Alegre, Salvador)....but I stick to bigger cities Dangerous...hmmm....depends ...I've had issues over the years, but is usually my fault for having to much rum and in places I shouldn't have been LATE at night. Since I've changed my ways somewhat, no problems. Language could be an issue for some, if you speak Spanish, you'll be able to communicate here no problem. A good friend of mine, some might know , TomCal comes here all the time and knows maybe a dozen words...but with Google Translate he does very well. He has a blast with the guys and they like him too.... Michael can chime in ...he spent a lot of time here, we've been to a few Churrascarias together and how much fun the waiters and Brazilians in general are.

As much as I love Thailand, the food, culture , massage and the guys (sometimes).....I come to Brasil more than Thailand. I'm here now and whenever I have sex, all I can think is "oh my fucking God"....the guys vary from slim twinkie types to big muscle guys, white to black, tall-short....but the one thing in common in sauna guys is the sex is 99.9% always great. That percentage is MUCH lower in Thailand in all of my years going there. You don't get the 'drama" that I see in Thailand so many times, the fake Boyfriend shit (we know we're walking ATM's) the stories about money for school, family, cow died, working on a farm, etc... For 1000 THB is normal price here, some ask for 1500 thb but most will accept 1000 (100 BRL). And if you are a bottom, you'll be in heaven. Even when they are HUGE, they know how to use it and boy can they use it. So, if you've been to Brasil before...what's your thoughts about BKK-Brasil? If you've never been before, why not?

Interesting article... I remember before apps/internet, this was the place to pick up guys after the clubs closed...not so much anymore. The coffee shop is my favorite place to eat Thai food, believe it or not. I take usually 6-10 orders to go and heat them up in the condo whenever I'm hungry. I'm very well known there late night....some police are there sometimes eating when I go...and the waitresses think I am crazy for always hitting on the cute ones...in all the years only one messaged me and we hooked up,lol
