First time I've arrived in the morning in a decade.... was a red eye from India, only a 2 hr flight, I feel pretty fresh as compared to coming after the LONG flights. Arrived at the satellite terminal, 1st time... I've departed from there, was a piece of cake, arriving though is a shit show when more than 1 flight comes in at the same time....maybe it looked good on paper? From landing, immigration, luggage was almost 1st out, to meet mike taxi was 30 minutes in total...not too bad. 1.5 hrs to Pattaya, zero traffic. Ambiance hotel wanted to charge me for early check in, she's kind of new. When I told her I'm a 25 yr customer that books direct so they don't have to pay a commission, she gave me the room. I'm here until Monday and then BKK for a few days...if anyone wants to meet for a drink or do some marching , it'll put a face to the dry sarcasm and cynicism that I'm known for 😉 Looks like I'll miss @Olddaddy seems like he's going to BKK today, wonder if he planned it that way 🤔

Mexico has a tourism tax that citizens and residents don't pay that is collected by the airline. Where it asks for passport and nationality and residency , that is how it's determined. If I use a US credit card, I change the country to Mexico and the zip code, I use my US one...the credit card system looks for name, Credit Card number, CVV2 and zip code to approve or use a Mexican card.
