  1. So, I went to the ONLY gay bar in Jakarta, Apollo bar.....AMAZING. Too time consuming to post pics....it's late.
  2. Yeah...it was you that brought it up...how many trips to Brasil and you don't know this.....but it depends how good looking you are and if you post a pic on your profile if the the right phone will work for you....(sarcasm)
  3. So much to decipher for an Asian....the High speed option is LTE, free service is 256kbps, the high speed option is $50 usd a month, unlimited, unlimited 1) you work? 2) You're only going to Brazil now, so stop it. 3) Get over the size. damn Asian, do your homework! 4) Dual Sim..IPhone user, welcome to the future, I've had a dual sim Android for years 5) Damn generic Asian .. .just threw # 5 in for fun
  4. I just paid 400 for a full body last week...I didn't haggle , seemed fair and was very good.
  5. I asked someone , a Thai, why there aren't solar panels in Thailand, he said they are illegal, the government doesn't allow it. I was at Maxi's and asked the guy behind the bar, I assumed it was the owner, how much his electric must be, because he has A/C's running constantly with no doors. He laughed and said ALOT...I asked why no solar. he said long and complicated answer to that.... When I was leaving, I did notice some panels, not many , on a few warehouse looking buildings that I could see from the plane. I have solar on my house in Mexico, I was in Boston in Dec and noticed solar farms on the sides of the highway and LOTS of buildings with them (Boston isn't known for sun!) So what is up with Thailand??
  6. How many are doing this here...just curious?
  7. Not a pitch, just the facts....I travel about 3 weeks per month (for fun)....so T-mobile has always been a no brainer, their plan includes free internet in most countries (my plan is $30 a month)....I opted to pay $50 more for high speed.... better than complaining about getting an uber and not having wifi....plus it seems like wifi is like the police, never around when you really need it, lol Base plan is $30 usd a month, high speed and unlimited calls adds the $50 option, still a bargain compared to other carriers. Just came from BKK, I used to get a local sim and am Indonesia now , I used to get a local sim.....keeping just one sim (I have a dual sim phone, other sim is Mexico) is just sooo much easier and I'm sure we both spend $50 much more foolishly while away, that we don't have to go crazy with multiple sims from different countries, remembering how to top them up, lol
  8. Their poor or broken English doesn't bother me at all...is when foreigners talk to me in broken English like I am Thai, lol
  9. Ever been to Brasil....?? I love Thailand for food, massage and the occasional good sex......but can't wrap my head around what $$ some guys in Thailand ask for, the cost of living is soo much more in Brasil, yet the rate there is 850-1300 Baht.....and prostitution is legal (currently, let's see how their new president is). Also, I don't ever remember Brazilian guys playing mind games like the guys in Thailand. On the other side of the coin, I know people that ONLY go to Latin countries because they don't like Asians, smh
  10. Out of the world's approximately 7.5 billion inhabitants, 1.5 billion speak English — that's 20% of the Earth's population. However, most of those people aren't native English speakers. About 360 million people speak English as their first language. So , English would be the language in common that most can speak.....no?
  11. He must mean why don't you have a data plan so you don't need wifi.... I always post that I don't understand anyone that travels with any frequency not having T-Mobile....I pay their $50 a month extra to get global unlimited High speed and unlimited calls...with their basic plans you get 2g or 3 g speeds (fine for facebook, whatsapp, messenger and checking emails) free in more than 140 countries with 20 cent a minute calls....
  12. For the life of me I can't figure out why people that travel often don't have T-Mobile....they have a $50 add on program that takes their free unlimited roaming data to high speed in almost every country....and includes unlimited calls (the free plans charge 20 cent a min to USA and country you are roaming in) Whenever I go to a place like this, I check to make sure I know where the emergency exits are and that they are working....places like that we read about in the news, along with night bus trips going off the road....
  13. was there 4 days ago didn't notice it.....but I guess I'd have to be out in the day to see it....;-)
  14. I'll post this here because it's Indonesia.... Been to Bali before and had a great time...this trip I wanted to try Jakarta...I like big cities, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Bangkok, etc... usually more than beach places as I am a vampire and mostly go out at night and don't care for beaches. A german friend of mine explained it pretty well to me, when I went to Bali he described it as openly gay no problem, many gays have been going for years but they are used to white guys (Aussies go A LOT)....He said Jakarta, mostly white business guys with no much time to play around ...So I would be a novelty here and I wouldn't even need to leave my room, they will blow up my phone with messages. He was right....50/50 money guys and guys wanting to hook up...mostly tops. I just had a 23 yr old guy leave and he came at 1:15 sec's and then again at 3mins, consecutively ....he said he doesn't have gay friends and doesn't do casual hook-ups (who knows)....but I was amazed. Not many drink alcohol here so is a different vibe, just sober sex.....only my 2nd day so far we'll see what the trend is later....just wish I had the same sex drive as the last guy, lol
  15. Also a celebration of an Irish Saint
  16. Now they have internet on their phones...noticed a friend was online a lot lately and asked whats up.... " Porque ya pusieron Internet en los teléfonos.. por plan de datos.." because they put internet on the cell phones, with data plans.....so like everywhere else, look for them on the apps, looks like. Sure not EVERYONE will have smartphones or money for data, so street cruising shouldn't be dead completely, however, as I've stated here before, the golden days of cuban hotties are gone in my opinion. I know, I know....you can find a good one every now and then....but isn't the same....but what is, lol ahh, plus as endless dream pointed out...is cold!
  17. As with many hotels worldwide....daytime visitors don't raise eyebrows too often, but try bringing someone in late at night, whether or not they spend the night.........been in that situation too many times, lol
  18. without a doubt Brasil is way more open minded.
  19. So, this is what we did: He didn't want Street food, he had already done that. We went to the Shangri la, he wanted the river, it seemed after all. He's a tort lawyer and money doesn't matter. ( I thought it would be more expensive than it was.) I had lunch at MBK food court earlier and can say , they food was MUCH more flavorful there, lol. He had a guy with him as did I....the ambiance, presentation and surroundings was worth the price...I guess, the Thai guys felt super important. This was the first time in maybe 2 or 3 years that I wore shoes (sneakers) because sandals were not allowed! I will try the place at the Rose hotel tomorrow or my next trip. on a side note, Super A might not be the busiest place in BKK, but certainly has been a reliable place (for me) of getting a reliable guy that is loads of fun for the past few yrs. (google translate , conversation mode is amazing).... the "superstar" go-go's, just make me dislike Thailand.......maybe it's just me?? Thanks for your replies...I feel guilty I didn't go to one, but it was last minute I guess.......
  20. I have a friend visiting and want to take him to a place, doesn't have to be over the top or crazy expensive, but where do you consider to have the best Thai food in Bangkok, with good service. Not too far out, we're in the Sathorn/Silom area??
  21. Harder, yes....but you answered them I bet.....Thais will just leave them unread, lol A German friend that lives in BKK for about 20 yrs told me once, and I believe it holds true to all third world countries..... unless you or family is RICh, or you open a business or a government employee....if you are ambitious and hard working you find a way to get out to another country and better yourself (USA, Australia, Canada, U.K....etc.) , which leaves just conformists (slackers)...luckily for the wealthy and people that go looking for hookups (sex) that wouldn't happen otherwise...... interesting observation ;-)
  22. Don't worry, I feel the same way, lol
  23. Yes, Brasil.....I'm in Thailand now, will be in Brasil in 3 weeks........I've been coming to both places for 20 yrs. Thailand isn't what it used to be for sex....the guys in Brasil are SOOOO much more fun and 99% guaranteed good/great sex....I keep returning to Thailand for Frequent Flyer runs , food (AMAZING) and massage......Hotels and food is cheaper in Thailand but sex is more, blows my mind.
  24. Google translate can do amazing things, from conversation mode to translating from pointing your camera at a page or sign to translate....
  25. I still call it DF to piss my friends off, lol
