Price difference? I worked as a hotel GM for a big part of my life, I can't justify the price difference. I still get rate benefits at Hilton, yet they're too far away from the "scene". The Tarntawan has always provided a decent experience, even when they were at 50usd a night. But at 20-25usd w/b'fast, I can't see my way to spend more than that....I had a friend stay at Meridien and I visited, very nice staff and rooms but not to pay 125usd or more a night....as Tomcal would say "you know how many guys that is?"

I saw you or someone mentioned this hotel in some post.....How would you compare it to Tarntawan? The reviews are mixed online for Furama Sathorn, mostly about aged decor,furniture, a/c and appliances not working. But Tarntawan isn't new either. I still like the latter because of its location, service, price and I'm nostalgic of the place having stayed there so much. So if they are the same price, with b'fast included....what are the differences to you, which do you like more?

The 1st time I ate an edible, I ate the whole thing, like a dessert. Followed by 8 hrs of unpleasantness.....My friends that eat them all the time, were laughing. Because supposedly you eat it in little pieces over time to keep the buzz going. It's like drinking a bottle of Vodka all at once instead of taking the drinks in a little at a time....how they explained it to me. I won't try them again....probably.

I enjoyed reading and seeing it through fresh eyes.....I've been going over 20 yrs.....and we either miss, never saw or forget many things 😉 And for someone like TotallyOz , who hasn't been back in a while might become nostalgic, especially since he spent so much time at the Intercontinental himself......

Some people have fun just being in another country away from home, some have fun hang gliding or visiting churches and temples.....very individual what constitutes fun for someone. You'll very rarely see me outdoors before sunset, I'm fine in a dark room all day, but some people can't understand that. people are strange 😁

Yes it is, but if you meet a guy on an app or in DJ Station, lumpini park, a mall, the same goes as in Brasil, if you didn't find them in a sauna or gogo bar.....be careful no matter which country. I've had things stolen from me in those situations....in Thailand. Fake profile pics are more rampant in Asia than Brasil, is why I prefer in person meetings....

Gotta be smart about the legality and documentation requirements that go along with it, from the start.....I remember years ago listening to TotallyOz telling what it takes to stay in the correct lane of justice or even a step ahead because every country has their own laws/rules.....I got dizzy.

Kind of been what I was thinking....my last trip there 2yrs ago at the very start of Covid, I thought the guys there were my age almost and a few balding 😲

I prefer to sleep alone in bed, also not worrying about my cell phone. But the wording there is def going to get some comments , no doubt.

been about 10 years...no plans for going back, although that could change in a minute. I lived in Orlando for a while, hence my screen name. I knew a lot of Moroccans there and none were "gay" 😝 Enjoy your 20's.....is when I 1st started traveling/whoring the globe....time goes faster than you can imagine.
