I complained to my DR. about Hemorroides some years ago (not paranoid like OldDaddy) they did a screening and came back positive for squamous cells. They monitored it and burned off some cells that seemed problematic. Recently, the labs came back more severe, I'm scheduled for surgery in Feb. But they keep saying that we are catching it early, that I shouldn't worry.....that so many have it with no symptoms and it progresses to the point you die, if not treated, like the people that you mentioned. Cancer isn't selective based on age.....

I never change into a towel in Brazil, I like to keep things in my pockets not a locker.....but here I did change to a towel, I came prepared with nothing valuable....but I think you could go without a towel, there is a bar area....just won't have the chance to go cruising in the steam/sauna areas. But the working guys will hunt you out...."massage" rooms VERY basic...so you may have to take off the clothes to go to the showers....
