Crimea was annexed illegally by Russia, and the Donetsk/Luhansk conflict was fueled by Russian-backed separatists. Independent sources like the OSCE and the UN have found no systematic killing of ethnic Russians. Civilian deaths were from the fighting itself. International law recognizes Russia’s 2022 invasion as an act of aggression 🤷‍♂️ this narrative is used to justify war, not describe reality.... but hey, propaganda along with pride of country, will make you believe a different story/narrative, the US is a prefect example how Trump, of all people, has so many dummies lined up behind him dismantling its pillars from within, seems like something out of a Hollywood movie, not reality 😔

In Russia, Putin just jails or kills his opponents, kind of the direction the USA seems to be going 🥺 “Lost territories” spin: Ukraine has regained over half the land Russia initially stole. Yes, it’s tough, yes, it’s slow — but Russia has failed in its original goal to conquer Kyiv and install a puppet government. That’s not exactly a “win” for Moscow.... war is not as easy as everyone thinks, Hollywood makes it look easy though 🤷‍♂️ Sanctions: The sanctions are working — Russia’s economy is now a war economy, factories making Ladas with no airbags, airlines stripping old planes for parts, ruble in freefall, hundreds of billions frozen abroad. Sure, some trade leaks through, but Europe cut its Russian gas dependence by over 80% since 2021.....no? Illusions: The real illusion is thinking Russia is winning.
