  1. Yes I'm here in the sex tourist Mecca I find the long 24 hour journey rather arduous and I did not look forward to it at all, but it passed smoothly enough. The first leg Manchester - Abo Dhabi was good. I had a spare seat next to me and I watched rather a nice movie about Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards who overcame difficulties to become Britain's representative in the Calgary 1988 Olympics Ski Jumping, an event in which no Brit had competed for many years. From Abu Dhabi to BKK I was sandwiched between two large guys although one was young and making his first trip to Thailand. I always enjoy giving newbies the benefit of my vast experience !. Suvanapoom to Pats was incredible for its speed. My flight landed at 18.25 I was one of the first off the, plane and there was no queue at immigration. My bag came onto the carousel quickly and I rushed down to the bus desk thinking I would have to wait and maybe take a taxi. The guy greeted my with "you go now bus ready to start". I paid my 120 baht and jumped aboard and in 1 hour 40 mins I got off at the South Pattaya Road junction. Onto a motor bike taxi and a further 10 mins I was in BT checking in at the Ambiance at 20.50. Mind you my mood was not helped when I saw the Pound:Bart rate of 47.10 - drop of 10% compared with last week. Increased my anger about the OUT referendum vote !. Bloody Idiots not listing to many experts who warned about the downsides of leaving the ECok After sorting myself out a quiet beer at Oscars was in order. Ideally I should have had an early night to recover but that's not possible as a party was in full swing although BT was very very quiet numbers wise. After a while I decided to check out Cupidol as from this forum I heard that twinks were in evidence there which proved to be the case. Inside were about 25 boys on stage of which 6 were in the Twink category. One was soon sitting with me sipping a boy drink. He was 20, blond, nice and smooth, and from Cambodia. No English apart from "you off me please", which I did. Later we chatted using Google Translate I suprised myself by putting up a good performance in bed sans viagra, fucking him twice during the night. This might have been due to his kissing, rimming and sucking skills, which were well developed. I was very satisfied with his service and rewarded him with 2000 baht, which is at the top end of what I will pay. .
  2. I was in Pattaya in January this year, supposely high season and the bars were certainly not packed. I've never been during Christmas/New Year which is described as Peak Season - maybe that's the busy time. There is no doubt that Pattaya has declined as a sex tourist destination for both gay and straight. I first visited in 2002 and remember the scene in Boystown and Sunnee - busy bars and many willing boys. Very Sad. Why ?.
  3. I think the explanation concerns the world wide demand for aircraft across the world. Whilst the demand for seats to and from Thailand is lower, across the world it is much higher in July/August owning to this being the holiday season in Europe and North America. I visit Pattaya in both high and low season and both have their advantages. One negative which appears to be the case just now is that it's the rainy season and trying to get my ration of sun and sea Is distinctly difficult. On the other hand hotels are cheaper and the traffic is not so awful. I am disapointed to hear that the gay areas are very quiet and dislike being in gogo's and bars being the only customer or part of a very small audience.
  4. Thanks Fountainhall for your very powerful warning which I read only several days before my next Pattaya trip. I indulged in unprotected sex a good few years ago and also during my first couple of visits to Pats 14 years ago. But I believe I have used all my luck and now I am blessed with fear of the possible consequences. I often wonder about the odds on picking up something nasty in Thailand. 2% maybe with different random partners ?. So given a four week visit by an average gay sex tourist indulging it would be odds on.
  5. Wow 4000 baht for a boy overnight !. When I discovered Thailand as a gay sex tourist in 2001 the standard price was 1000. That was in Pattaya. I'm due there in a couple of weeks and am expecting to pay about 2000.
  6. Pleased to hear that Londoner as I plan to stay at the Ambiance during my next trip in a couple of weeks. Being in an entertainment area the noise till about 1 am is acceptable, but I've been disturbed by noise when it's continued up to 3.00 am. Spoils being in bed with a nice boy when you have to listen to some drunk farang murdering "I did it my way" at that time.
  7. I'm envious Biguyby . Love to be at the Samsuk. I like the sound of a lot of boys there and a big cock in the cruising area. It's probably the best place to be sitting in the shade by the pool, rather than wandering about in Pattaya. I'm back home in England but looking forward to my June trip.
  8. I am a regular at the Samsuck when I'm in Pats. The undress code round the pool varies from night to night. Sometimes everyone is draped in towels and then on another night there a few naked in and around the pool and in the whirlpool. Somehow modesty gets to me but sometimes I dare to wear (?) a thong. Thai guys are very modest and speedos are about the most radical they will wear.
  9. I just leave my tips on the bed or give them to the ladies if I see them. I always have a good report with female staff in gay hotels - they have no reason to feel threatened even if they enter when I'm not dressed - they know I'm gay.
  10. I always tip the cleaning ladies - often 100 baht every day. A trivial amount in the scheme of things and they have a lot to put up with. I often need more than 2 towels usually from entertaining more than one boy during the 24 hours, even leaving three every day. I try to be carefull about cum stains using tissues when removing the condoms and wrapping them but boys arn not so considerate.
  11. Sounds like a very unlikely story. I think the days of fondling boys and giving 20 baht tips are long gone. 20 was certainly the tip in Sunee when I first came to Pattaya. I remember Crazy Dragon and its table top dancing boys. They collected 20's in the waistbands of their shorts which they acquired from wandering customers hands. Don't think you could get a smoke for that but maybe 50 would do !.
  12. Like anonone I will be in butterfly mode during the start of my June trip and a hotel in BT is ideal if you anticipate having a number of boys short time or overnight. However I always remember a bit of advice I was given when I first came to Pats some 14 years ago which was "don't make plans in Pattaya". Thinks change and I could easily find a boy I want to stay with me for a few days. In this case I would move to the Samsuck Guesthouse which is fairly quiet after the sauna closes. There are a variety of rooms and it is not expensive and only a short distance to Jomtien and Dongtan Beach. The restaurant is not bad although the farang breakfast is "basic" whereas my boyfriends said the Thai food was good. Bit of a hill up to the main road (amazing how unfit young Thais are - they complain about this)
  13. I've just checked Tripadviser and yes there are several negative reports, but apart from the noise problem I don't recognise the other complaints. Also it's a faily inexpensive hotel with current low season prices starting around 1000 baht. I prefer to stay at hotels known to be gay and I would say that the Ambience has 90% gay guests taking boys to the rooms. It's rather a maze on the upper floors, being a collection of former joined shop houses with several stairs and one lift. One evening I contacted a boy via GR and he agreed to come. The guy at reception telephoned to say he was there and said he would send the boy up. I got naked and waited for a knock on the door but after 5. Minutes He hadn't arrived. I had to get dressed, leave the room and found him wandering about on a different floor lost. After that I always went down to escort my boyfriends.
  14. I've never seen the gym - don't know it existed. Only been to Lumpini a couple of times in the early morning as I'm usually occupied elsewhere - exercising in bed.
  15. When I'm in bkk I often go to Lumpini Park in the early evening for a run. It's very busy there at this time with runners, being one of the few places for them in the city. As far as I know there are no showers - I just walk/jog back to my hotel afterwards dripping sweat. I normally stay at the Tantawan. Maybe you could cool off in the lake !. Only joking. Everyone, including farangs, has to stop for the national anthem,- that's interesting. You can sometimes get into conversation jogging along with the type of Thais we not normally meet, like bank managers or train drivers, which has happened to me. It's cooler of course in the early morning or evening but you could go at any time during the day. There are a few stalls selling drinks.
  16. Biguyboy... You visited the gay beach. I'm due in Pattaya in June and I love spending time there. You know my interest in cute boys in speedos. Any sightings of the same ?. Did you take a boy to the beach ?. Your description of the weather is rather intimidating.
  17. I cannot open imagine offing a guy like the one displayed above and having him in my bed - the attraction for me is zero as it is for females. I respect body builders for the huge effort they make to train their bodies to that unnatural shape but they also have to take drugs to achieve the development of this one. This boy is more what I look for during my visits to Pattaya and I think he would be the choice of most gay sex tourists like myself, as compared with the muscle man.
  18. Thanks Steve for those helpful suggestions. They are certainly attractive, especially the rimming one, but alas none of them would counteract the distraction of some drunk farang belting out "I did it my way" at 3 am. To be fair to the Ambiance they do try to minimise the nuisance by allocating the less affected rooms to guests when they are not full. Thinking back I have stayed there Maybe nine times for an average of a week and the noise nuisance was probably a only small proportion of those nights.
  19. I'm a regular at the Ambiance and will stay there during my June trip. The only downside is shared BT the other BT hotels is noise long after the official bar closing time. Not good when trying to concentrate on my boyfriend du soir.
  20. Ive been told it's much more difficult to open a Thai bank account now and that this is really an option for ex pats only. But then again I've never tried. Probably the cost of money changing is a tiny part of my budget behind boys, hotels, food, drink and travel.
  21. I wonder if there is a temptation to take risks as one grows older ?. I have to say that I didn't always practice safe sex when I was younger in Britain and on holiday in gay-favoured resorts in Europe and I have "got away with it". In recent years in Thailand it's been condom for anal, but there has been the temptation to "risk it". You start believing that it can never happen to you and that with fewer years of active sex left you start thinking about bareback. I hope I can avoid the temptation as I am due in Pattaya again in June.
  22. My experience is that there is not much difference in the ATM rate of exchange between the various banks, although at the airport I think it is generally a little poorer. These rates are better than the ones you get for exchanging cash. The same applies to the Thai bank fixed fee which is the same at 150 or 180 baht (I can't remember). Then you will get another charge from your home bank. Thus it is better not to withdraw small amounts (say 5000 baht) from ATMS, that amount would be better obtained by changing cash. I withdraw 20,000 baht at a time from ATM's within banks, as those standing in the street are sometimes faulty and it's a lot of hassle if no notes are dispensed and you are charged. This has happened to me twice. Long time visitors get a much better rate by opening a Thai bank account and transferring money there in bulk. When I first visited Thailand some 12 years ago I used travellers cheques but not now.
  23. Nothing in life is risk free. Crossing Second Road Pattaya in rush hour is rather dodgy. The difficulty is assessing the level of risk. For example I think if the risk of unprotected anal penetration was one in ten thousand many including myself would accept that, but maybe not one in a thousand. When I first discovered Thailand thirteen years ago bareback was prevalent but not now, and I believe the statistics show a reduction in HIV/AIDS in recent years. Nobody can give you the figures and there are no bookies to give you the odds. For oral it's impossible partly due to participants usually doing anal also, with condom or without. For myself it's bareback for sucking cock, but condoms for anal penetration. Tongue Kissing is no risk but not sure about rimming. Half gay porn shows unprotected anal which may tempt some to engage.
  24. Abang1961 Your post is rather worrying. I've been washing my mouth out with mouthwash for years. I think I need a second opinion On this !. I carry a small bottle of listerine in my pocket when I'm away from my room. I suppose the risk is greater if you suck to completion and you get a spurt of cum in the mouth.
  25. I always rinse my mouth with mouthwash after sucking cock. I'm not sure if this does any good. Generally money boys clean themselves throughly before sex but the same can't be said at gay saunas. Also I avoid brushing my teeth before.
