  1. Higher grade hotels in Pattaya usually have large beds which can accomadate more than two. There is plenty of space for the guest and his boy to have their own space. On the few occasions when I have two boys I have slept in the middle, although I don't find these encounters offer good value for money.
  2. I mostly stay at the Ambiance these days and on balance I like the place, but I concur with the other posts regarding it's confusing layout. Years ago when Pattaya was just developing there must have been three shop houses, which have been joined by knocking openings to form, not very successfully, one unit. Now after checking in I fix the position of my room in relation to objects like a large vase, elevator or stairs. I want to avoid the embarrassment of a few years ago when returning with my boyfriend du jour it took me about five minutes of wandering about to locate it. On another occasion I contacted a boy on GR and got a call from reception to say he had arrived. I told them to send him up, but after several minutes he hadn't arrived so I had to go in search of him. He had been wandering about the same as I did. In July I think they had improved the signage as no doubt other guests had had the same experience. But in conclusion I would recommend the Ambiance as an ideal place to stay for the gay sex tourist, particularly newbies to Pattaya.
  3. Biguyby It's good to here of a new gogo opening - shows that the gay scene in Pats is still attracting investment. Hopefully when I arrive in October there will be a good selection of twinks in 360 deg. Mind you I found Cupidol a happy hunting ground in July. Perhaps someone will post a report. Drooling over white undies ?. Looks like you favour the boys in black !.
  4. Vinapu - it was a couple of years ago. I had arrived back from Vietnam that evening and had partially unpacked but then rushed out to catch the show at Bbb without locking the safe. Easily done !.
  5. Regarding honesty I have never really had a problem with hotel thefts despite maybe 30+ visits to LOS in the last 15 years. Mind you the only things I have with me of significant value are my iPad, iPhone, passport money and various cards and those go in the room safe when I've got company. Once I thought I had been robbed by a boy I had offed. I showered first and he joined me in bed after showering. During the night i got up for a piss and noticed that the safe door was open. At the Ambience the safe is near the bathroom door not on view from the bed. I glanced in and thought that there was some US dollars missing (I had been to Vietnam), and I assumed he took the opportunity to help himself. I got back into bed but did not wake him but I couldn't sleep thinking how I would confront him in the morning. In the morning I took all the cash (dollars, baht and pounds) into the bathroom and saw that the missing dollars were sandwiched between pounds. You have to be very carefull before accusing anyone of theft.
  6. Vinapu - we all know the difficulty of establishing the age or honesty of Thai boys especially if one has had a few drinks. Years ago I used to stay at the Don Plaza in Sunee which supposedly had a 24 hour reception but frequently he was either not there or asleep.
  7. Coming back at 3 am with a boy in tow, you find the guy behind reception fast asleep. You feel uneasy about the lack of reassurance provided by the vetting of his ID card. Do you wake the guy up or just proceed to your room ?.
  8. I don't think that Pattaya is in any danger of becoming a family orientated resort. I've been going to Pats now for nearly 15 years. I've noticed the emergance and growth of tour groups - Chinese, Indian and up to recently Russian. These consist mainly of hetro couples with very few children. Male sex tourists, hetro and gay, seem to be a much smaller proportion of the total visitors. I'm afraid Sunee will eventually expire because as the number of bars declines it's becoming less of a market for purchasing entertainment, drink and sex, and therefore less of a magnet. There will be two gay areas - Boystown and Jomtien, catering for what seems to be a declining market. During my early Thai visits Sunee was my preferred location for drinking, eating, and boys, whereas in July my bed companions came from Boystown or via GR. A small but growing number of men are coming for ladyboys who are seen in increasing numbers.
  9. I always visit the Samsuck during my Pattaya trips and I did that three times in July. As has been mentioned the best time to go is in the early evening if you are looking for action say from 5 to 8 pm and also the number of customers or Thai boys varies a lot, although of course there are fewer of both in low season. I enjoyed my visits more than those I made to Babylon in Bkk. The action consists of wandering around the two floors of of the darkened cruising building. Most guys have a towel draped round their waists, but Several like to be naked and I have taken to wearing a g-string or thong. The Thai boys take the most hits but with luck you may get one to enter a cubicle with you.
  10. Stay in a gay oriented hotel especially if, like me, you bring back twinks. Nasty comments in non-gay places can come from drunken groups of men and their girlfriends in the lobby or lift. In hotels like the Ambiance around midnight there are likely to be other tourists arriving with boys who hand in their IDs . This is important to avoid under age and for security. In January I stayed at the Colonial in Sunee for a few days and I missed the reception ID check.
  11. In Thailand it's "Money Number 1" . Everything is available at a price including unprotected oral/anal gay sex. During my first visits to Pattaya 14 years ago I indulged in both, but now unprotected anal is out. I have been lucky.
  12. Situated between Pattaya and Jomtien - there is a website. Discussed in this forum a number of times. .
  13. Well for a start there is kissing and kissing. I rarely find a long time off boy unwilling to kiss but some are more enthusiastic than others. I like deep tongue kissing over an extended period and if the boy performs it well he gets merit points. I am versatile and if the boy has a slim and very hard cock and knows how to use it more merit points are added, also if he rims me.
  14. I have been told that I pay too much. A while ago, two years I think, I took a boy to the beach and happened to sit close to a farang also with his Thai boyfriend. We got into conversation during which he asked me how much I was paying and declared that 2000 was too much. I pointed out that my boy (a very cute twink) had only been with me 3 days and that I would put the remuneration on a different basis if I was like him, a long term resident with a steady boyfriend. I did in fact cut the 2000 down during my second week with him, but that was compensated by gifts (clothes and earrings) I bought for him. This must happen a lot i.e. Take a boy from a gogo or GR who you find attractive and who performs well in bed so you keep more than a few nights. You then conduct a secondary negotiation on becoming his daddy.
  15. Z909 The 2000 I quoted was in respect of boys in Pattaya, where I spend the majority of my Thai trips. Obviously the cost will be increased by the off fee, boy drinks and maybe a breakfast in the morning.
  16. I almost always mention the services I expect and and the tip I will pay when in a gogo or bar. I think my long time rate of 2000 baht is good and I cannot recall a refusal. I have mentioned higher tips to ensure a second or subsequent nights when the boy is particularly attractive or his performance in bed was very enjoyable. When I go into daddy mode I mention potential benefits like presents of clothes or a phone in order to keep him performing.
  17. Ryanasia has an accurate assessment of tha Bamboo Bar. It's not a place to find a pretty twink, but it's certainly a gay cafe/bar. I occasionally call in for a tea or coffee on my way back to Pattaya from the beach which is quite pleasant. I was there once when an elderly Russian couple walked in but quickly left when they saw a gay customer with his arm round a boy. I can understand how they strayed there as the Bamboo is located well away from other gay oriented business's. During the day I spend time in one of the many gyms during the late morning and then move to the Dongtan Beach for the afternoon. After that I sometimes visit the Samsuck gay Sauna about which there are many accounts on this forum. I don't often have a boy with me during the day - I find they will go to Dongtan but a bit on sufferance and are sometimes reluctant to wear the speedos I buy for them. Koh Larn is a bit crowded in the high season and I don't like the stares you get when accompanied by a boy.
  18. I can't think of an occasion when a ladyboy turned up at my hotel from GR. As everyone knows there are always several posting there but I would never contact a full on ladyboy with breasts (Ugh), silicon around hips, slutty dress&heels, long hair etc. But I suppose it could happen if the ladyboy assumed a boys GR identity, in which case I would send him/her away empty handed. But like z909 I rather like femboys and am OK with attributes like eye makeup, painted nails or belly piercings but not the features mentioned above or female mannerisms.

    fears?

That is so true and never for one moment should a sex tourist forget it. I have being visiting the "worlds biggest brothel" for 15 years and know how easy it is to be seduced by its temptations. During my first few visits I paid lip service to the need for safe sex but in reality I diced with danger having unprotected oral and anal (top and bottom) sex with boys from the bars and gogo's in BT and Sunnee. in recent years I have been sensible but there is always that moment of temptation when anal sex is about to commence to leave the condom on the bedside table. I find it easier to cum when I lube my dick before putting on the condom but this makes it easier for it to come off. After sucking I always use mouthwash but I'm not sure how much good that does. Also avoiding brushing my teeth for a few hours afterwards seems sensible.
  20. Some boys quote a reasonable price for short time but a sky high one for long such as 5000. That's fair enough in that they don't want to spend the night in a customers bed.
  21. I suppose that's one advantage of Sunee in that there you don't feel like a zoo exhibit for the Chinese tour groups following their flag waving guides. I was sat at Oscars a month ago with a boy and I'm sure I was pointed out by a guide as a typical old gay Western man with his young Thai boyfriend when the group paused there. Mind you these days there is not much for them to ogle at in Sunee.
  22. Reading this thread I was trying to remember the names of gogo's in Sunnee that I visited 10+ years ago and which have been long time defunct. Z909 mentions Euro Boys and I recall the boys wearing lace up briefs which were often of a size too small to cover their assets. But the one that stirred my memory was when I remembered Kaos which then became Villa Rouge I think. The place was always packed for the mass chuck wow. I offed quite a few boys from these two during the glory days of Sunee.
  23. Qualityonly - that's an interesting thought about about a farang writing English for the boys but it's a bit far fetched. When I contact a boy on GR I always ask for his phone number so as to avoid the message interchange delay and more accurately assess what he has to offer. The last time in stayed in Sunee, last Jamuary, I found on several occasions that I had to explain where it was, and even then one boy failed to turn up. This never happens when I stay in BT. Incidentally I stayed at the Colonial Bar which is now another of the closed businesses.
  24. It's probably all over for Sunee. In a year or so I think it will be taken over by Muslem visitors from the Middle East. I pity I suppose. When I first discovered Pattaya it was a very vibrant area with bars, gogo's, hotels and restaurents and I spent a lot time during my visits there and stayed during a number of my trips. In subsequent years bad publicity about under age boys and drugs did damage and the decline in gay tourism added to that. I was told by a long term Pattaya hand that there was a long term plan to move the sex industry away from Beach Road to make it less visible to main stream tourists. This seems to have happened with the hetro scene in that Soi Buakhow has mushroomed during the last few years. If there was such a plan you could have envisaged the local government encouraging businesses catering for gays to move to Sunee away from BT which is close to the seafront. However I don't think town planning is thriving in Pattaya !. Access to Sunee is poor from BT and South Pattaya Road. I've often had to asked Motor Bike Taxi guys for directions when I became lost walking there from Tukcom. Getting there can be daunting for first time visitors.
  25. You have to consider the price !. I have stayed at hotels ranging in price from 6600 per night (banyan Tree Bangkok) down to 800. Inperfections I tolerate in lower price ones I would make a complaint in the higher. The lack of hot water is a common moan in Thai hotels - but who needs it hot in a tropical climate. I have occasionally fixed minor faults in the room myself such as with curtains, rails or toilets not flushing properly. My multi function Swiss Army knife is very useful on holiday.
