  1. March is still OK if you OK with +32C +36C and it isn't too humid - there are no sources for humid in Siem Reap. Beginning of March can be even called "end of cool season". But end of March and esp. April can be nightmare to visit temples: day time temperature easy may be +42C +45C in shadows with no wind. I just wrote some travel tips at next thread http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/10498-september-in-thailand-and-cambodia-tips/page-3
  2. That why is good planning is important Tips: 1. Start your daily trip to Angkor as early as it is possible. Best time is 7 - 7:30, you will be after crowd watched sunrise and before main caravan of buses with groups 2. Hire AC car, not tuk-tuk: you will have relax in car btw temples - usually such trip takes 5-10 min and this time you will be cooled by AC, also you will find yourself and clothes clean after travel (red dust from roads is hard to wash out), also good car companies supply cars with cooled complimentary water and cold towels. 3. Don't waste your time in Angkor to lunch: food is overpriced, low quality, poisoning is possible, bring with you bottle of water 1-2 apples/bananas, 4. Don't hurry up. Better to have 4-5 days of wonderful vacation than 2-3 days of maraphone. Daily start at 7AM, return to hotel at 1-2PM, chill body in pool at peak of heat and take a lunch after, then short nap and you will be fresh again to sunset. 5. Sunrise and sunsets in Cambodia are whole year almost at the same time - about 6/18 +/- 20min. 6. Don't spend time at "sunrise in Angkor" show - it is overcrowded, no, OVERCROWDED. You will find yourself in noisy crowd of excited people instead of romantic silence of the great show of Nature. 7. Don't miss sunset at Tonle Sap (lake) - sunsets there is colorful and sometimes is much colorful than most known sunsets in Kenya. Bring your lovely boy with you and make as many pictures as you can - light at time of sunset is magical for best photography. 8. Woman's temple Beantey Srei is a MUST. It is 30 km from Siem Rap, but only Angkor Wat can compete with it. On the way back you can visit land mine museum. 9. Best folk dance Apsara show is on the second floor in restaurant (sic!) next (to right) to Khmer Soup restaurant at Pub Street. It is free if you take a table and ordering meals. Don't agree to far tables - better to reserve first row table at next day. Restaurant has a group of good trained artists, they make good quality show daily. Most other places with "Apsara show" in town - overpriced traps for tourists. 10. Siem Reap has real European quality gay bar since past year - Barcode, show is so so, but interior, atmosphere and drinks are super, best time is after 9PM, but better to come early - to take a seats and table. 11. Best dinners with local cusine and reasonable prices - already mentioned Khmer Soup (Pub street, right side if you are going from Blue Pumpkin) 12. Khmer have no idea what mean word "coffee". The only place in town with good coffee - Blue Pumpkin and it's branches. 13. Don't forget to visit Cultural Village in town - you will see silk farm and art crafting. 14. All moneyboys are mostly straight and lazy. The best place to meet really willing boy is Men's sauna btw 6pm and 8pm, it has dark room and labirinth with cabins. There are bar and kitchen also in Mens, but kitchen is so so (very so so). Please feel free to ask questions, but only about Siem Reap - I don't like PP.
  3. for real safety of your valuables the best is not a safe in room, but safe at reception - hotels has responsibility only to things what has been deposited there... safebox in room is just a toy...
  4. As almost everywhere in South-East Asia March is start of the hot season. Best time is December - February: cool weather. Sareth is official guide, with license from govt, he pass exams in history and language, and do tests every year at time of renew of license, he has guiding experience over 5 years. You can discuss your travels plans with him and your travel will be 100% tailored up to your wishes. It is personal private service: no templates, no standard program, no groups. On the picture: Sareth in official uniform of guides in Angkor wat
  5. This question sounds quite funny for me. Any hotel in Thailand is gay friendly if you acting properly: renting double room, don't bring to your room underage persons, don't bring homeless or beggars. 5-stars hotels may acting weird if you will bring with you shirtless boy in flip-flops, but it will be question of properly clothing, but not the question of your (or your guest) sexual behavior. I never met any discrimination at my travel to LOS (over 30 travels).
  6. Price cover only guide's time, full day = 8 hours = $35, half day = 4 hours = $25, each extra hour = $5. Your additional expenses will be: car/tuk-tuk (usually $25/$15, $35/$25), pass to Angkor $20/$40/$60 1/3/7 days Angkor Archaeological Park is about 200 sq.km in size. It has over 100 main temples and sites. Some temples located in 50 km from Main Gate (for example Rolous group). Usually tours are organized in 2 circles - Small Circle (path is about 40 km, full day, from which half of day is for Angkor Wat) and Big Circle (about 100 km, full day) In addition to Small and Big circles I suggest to make additional side tours to woman's temple with amazing carving Banteay Srei Temple, visit Rolous group of temples (have been constructed in 350 year before Angkor), visit Tonle Sap lake (fantastic sunsets) and floating village. Evenings: Apsara show dance, Men's sauna and massage (gay), Barcode bar (gay). Normal busy tour will take 5 days/4 nights, and yes - guide can escort you all this time. Don't forget to take foot massage every evening after temples.

Each website has, but not each website is winner in this fight Modern bots are very sophisticated, they can recognize images, "read" sentences like "how much 2 + two?" and give answer. Also they can learning and share knowleges: At Gaybutton they started to give right answer on question "Thailand is known as A Land of S..." (Smile, smiles) in 2 months. It is non-stopping fighting btw bullets and protection.
  11. And I like that: no straight Japanese and Chinese groups watching "zoo".
  12. Last my stay there was in April 2015, so I have no idea who was owner at that time.
  13. Yes, villas are equipped with AC (at least 3 where we have been).
  14. Ok, thank you, we will try. At past we found Sea Falcon too much touristic and too much "redneck" - hordes drunk crying redneck Germans...
  15. Gent, I'm collecting actual information about Bangkok "gay-muscle" scene. I never been interested in it, but friend asking me with advises. So I'm asking you for help (yes, I saw many posts here, but information is getting old too quickly). Please name still existing gay-places with hunks what you visited and they impressed you. My goal is to make list of: 2-3 massage place (with and without happy ending) 3-4 host bars 2-3 go-go 1-2 shows Thank you Pictures below aren't the samples what I exactly want to find, but my way to say "than you for reading my post" to all you
  16. I forgot to mention few more details: - since BB House mostly is working with Thais - the best way is book via phone call or email. Usually we ask Nick to visit them and to book room for us. - pool area is great place for romantic evenings
  17. Best Bed House. yes, it is our place to stay at past few years. I know nothing about owners. First visit we had stay in sea view room in main building. Normal European 3***. Rest our visits we had stay in pool villas area (look at photos). They are most modern. Rooms aren't big (about 18 sq.m + bathroom 6 sq.m). Service is good, easy going. Staff is polite and friendly and never questioned us if we had guests (+50 Baht for additional towel). Rooms are clean. If you will want take a villa - I advise to take far end villa - first rows villas are located near less deep part of pool and this part sometimes is noisy: kids playing. BBHouse is targeted on Thais, so there are no restaurant in guesthouse nor breakfast. But there are plenty places around to take a breakfast. Usually we had breakfasts in Tui's (best pancake) or in "Mama's kitchen" - next unit to DD Inn (not BB Inn, but DD Inn at the beginning of the beach near police station). There are only 2 tables in this kitchen, so you can sit at lobby of DD Inn and order via staff of DD Inn - price will be the same as direct order. On the photo: squirrel in the bushes around pool villas in BB House.
  18. Yeah On photo he is in the pool. He visited us (me and BF) for massage that day.
  19. Sorry, right name of guesthouse - Best Beds House - BBHouse: It is located btw formerly Bondi and Tui's place
  20. sometimes - when wind has right direction: from the land, at other cases I use pool in the Best Bed Inn: it is also directly on the beach
  21. At my visits I'm staying in hotels/guesthouses on the front of the beach - Tui's, Best Bed Inn, Room's Club and Bondi (both gone for now). Reason: I'm visiting beach few times per day and gay area only once - at evening. When you stay "on the beach" you can run out of hotel just in swimming trunks for swimming. Also morning run alongside the sea is amazing. Big plus - sea breeze at time of hot weather - only hotels at the beach have it. At evening time I'm visiting Jomtien complex - it is just 5 min walk.
  22. Gents, SiamRoads is looking for professional guides in South-East Asia. If you met good looking guys, who impressed you with good professional guiding service in your travels at past, and you want to help them to get more orders, please send them this page http://siamroads.com/we-are-hiring/ Thank you!
  23. If you want to proposition on condition "money for sex" the best way to do it just to give your "card" to person whom you like together with tips (rich tips for his original service as a bellboy or barmen or cleaner). if you want sex as a one-night-stand - then just give card with flower or with words "I like you". My point of view: than clear is situation, then better is mutual understanding. In my travels alone I even got notes with phone numbers from staff few times: some notes were pushed under the door of my room, some just puted on my table in restaurant or bar in hotel. Since I don't stay in gay-hotels, notes were from both genders - males and females. When we travel with BF we also got notes and verbal propositions (few in Cambodia, less in Laos, and many times in Thailand) from males/boys. If you want something - you have to ask it: biding is free. Just be polite and easy take back any answer.
  24. My point of view: you haven't to rent cage even when you like to visit zoo. About subject: I found all 3 hotels similar each other, but last time I had stay there in 2009. About TripAdviser: I almost never pay attention to their reviews - a lot of hotels buys 5 star reviews from copywriters at odesk.com for $0.5 per review.
