How Russian teenagers are being locked up for expressing dissent
Moses replied to reader's topic in The Beer Bar
Could you please name one? Turkey? Erdogan now will be sure, what Kurds will have no shelter anymore. But what it will bring to Turkish people? Israel? Well I don't know how it will be benefited by existence of one more radical Islamic regime. Directly on it border. Jordan? Iraq? -
How Russian teenagers are being locked up for expressing dissent

Do you know what the advantage of my position on the forum is? I have never written that there is democracy in the country where I live. On the contrary, I have written that there are problems with freedoms and democracy here. That is why I easily smirk to their face every time some arrogant American and proud Briton without reason starts telling me about democracy. These people are so brainwashed that they are sure that there is democracy in their countries. I suppose it is because they have been told about it from every iron since they were in diapers. Respected people, the word "democracy" implies the management and control of power by the people. Therefore, if you insist that you have democracy, then you will have to agree that the atrocities in Vietnam were committed with the knowledge, consent, on behalf of and under the control of the people. As well as the bombing of Japan, Yugoslavia, Iraq, the invasion of Cuba, Panama, Nicaragua, the wars in Laos. If you have a democracy, you have to agree that this was done in your name: It's simple for me: they ask me "why are your troops in Ukraine?" and I can easily answer "because we don't have democracy." And what will you answer to the question "why was there a war in Vietnam?" Or "why are your troops still in Japan (Germany, South Korea, etc.... substitute the appropriate word)?" Or "what are your troops doing in Syria, although you have long declared that ISIS was defeated?" Because if you insist in democracy in your country, then you is responsible for actions of your govt. -

No. It didn't slip out. I remember very well that you continue to take revenge on everyone: Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Nicaragua, Panama, Iraq, Syria, Libya... and you "take revenge" without ceasing... As for me personally, no one can say about me "When he was young, he came to kill and torture young guys in Asia, and when he became old, he began to come and fuck for money the grandchildren of those whom he did not manage to kill when he was young." What about you? -

Why? Are you sad already because your country gave shelter to Nazi after WWII? Or are you sad because US dropped nuclear bombs and vaporized hundred thousands of Japanese civilians (here should be propagandistic "including women and kids" like loves to write Western propaganda)? -

Okay, then let's talk about Qatar or the UAE? Something about despotism, democracy, opposition? About the urgent need to land American troops there and stimulate the opposition for another Arab Spring? No? Really, if they buy American weapons, then why spoil the relationship with the client? Then maybe we can immediately formulate the main feature of despotism and a terrible regime? Let's write it like this: a regime that does not buy American weapons is despotic. And if the regime buys weapons, then it is "democracy". -

Right in the center of Europe, an absolute, and moreover, theocratic monarchy lives and flourishes. Its name is the Vatican. Don't you want to introduce "the basic principles of democracy" there? Land American troops, finance the opposition, preferably a radical one, in order to undermine the monarch's power without much expense and risk... No? Why not? Because there are no oil? -

Yeah, yeah. And the examples of installations in the Middle East of other "basic foundations of democracy" didn't make you think? Now on the world map there is Iraq with the "basic foundation of democracy" without Saddam Hussein but with ISIS, Iran with the "basic foundation of democracy" and the ayatollah, Libya with two "basic foundations of democracy" that are waging a civil war with each other. Attempts to implement the "basic foundations of democracy" in Algeria in 2012 and 2019 almost brought ISIS to power in this country, fortunately the long-standing president had enough steel in his balls to prevent this. Are you sure that these were attempts to install the "Basic Foundations of Democracy"? -

with whom? whole this circus, what started before intervention of Russia in 2015, was inspired by US - there was "triangle" Assad, ISIS and "democratic" Islamic radical movement backed by US because it was competitor to ISIS... Military intervention of US to Syria against will of legal Syrian govt was done under label "fight with ISIS"... OK, official intentions are good. But when US declared ISIS defeated many years ago, it still kept US troops in region. For what? Now Syria will have "democratic" radical Islamist regime. Exactly this one with which "democratic sharing" was expected. -

When you want to count resolutions UN, you should start from number of UN resolutions which been ignored by Israel. Because they are tens if not hundreds. -

Oh, dear. It wasn't Russia, who claimed what Iraq has weapon of mass destroy and then against resolution UN intervened to Iraq. It wasn't Russia who bombed Yugoslavia. It isn't Russia who created fund to supply Ukraine with weapon and named it "Peace fund". -

So, you repeat yours medias propaganda? This happens to those who believe that the head is given to a person to eat, and not to think. Alas. And now look at the facts: Whatever the Assad regime was, it was the last secular regime in the region. Islamists came to replace it. Do your media report the victory of democracy? But in fact, the Islamic radicals won, to whom the US provided all possible support, although not for the first time - Al Qaeda also began with CIA intrigues Are you told about the future prosperity of Syria? Libya is already "flourishing" in the ongoing civil war between two governments. Have you been told that Gaddafi is terrible? Look at Libya now. Wherever "democracy" sticks its paws, chaos arises. In 2-3 years, when there will be not law in Syria but Sharia, when Syrian women will take off their high heels and put on a burqa, when the day will begin with the cries of muezzins and not with the latest news, when another Al Qaeda cell will emerge and strengthen, reread this post. And remember that once upon a time this was a prosperous secular state. Like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq before it. In the meantime, Syria has already begun to be torn apart: on one side, Turkish troops are smashing the Kurds who were fleeing from Erdogan in Syria. On the other, Israel has already occupied a buffer zone on the Golan Heights. Are you still enjoying the events in Syria? It will pass very quickly. And when your media starts publishing the executions of gays by stoning, remember that it was your country of "democracy and equal opportunity" that had a hand in the rise of this regime, and "homophobic, authoritarian and imperialist" Russia that tried in every way to prevent it. -
To all: the Siamroads business model is a cooperative. Guides are not hired employees, but independent partners who have united for joint advertising and promotion. And for each of them, membership in Siamroads is a way to earn extra money. Siamroads began 15 years ago, on October 26, 2009, when I offered a Thai student who was conducting tours in Bangkok help in finding clients in gratitude for the fact that he helped me and my husband during our visit to Bangkok and refused to take money for this help. Then I made him a website, which is still online - just in memory of those times https://bkk-tours.com/ You are seeing the latest version of that site. It no longer has that very first student, and the guides shown are Yaya (old-timers of this forum still remember him) and Samit. 15 years have passed since then, including 3 years of COVID. Siamroads is the only one that survived COVID. The rest of those who served gays in Southeast Asia - companies, agencies - went bankrupt and closed, including the once famous Purple Dragon. And I will not write here what it took to save SiamRoads, what tragedies and victories occurred at that time. Those who were involved - they know, and the rest do not need to know. Currently SiamRoads has about 30 guides. I communicate with everyone and have an idea of what is happening and with whom. The reason for this topic to appear was Keith's kind heart. He takes to heart what happens to the guys. This is his right. But do not shift responsibility to me and SiamRoads for what happens privately between a Thai guy who is a partner of SiamRoads and a Western tourist who used the services of this guide in the past. This is their personal, private matter. There are 30 guides. And all of them are young guys, just starting (or have started) their independent life in the developing countries of Southeast Asia. None of them were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Each of them has difficulties and problems. Do I know about these problems? No comment - this is between me and the guide. Do I help them? I have been running these sites for 15 years and advertising for them, from here these guys get orders and clients. The rest I will leave to your imagination, and old-timers can remember the fundraiser on this forum for a guide from the Philippines, whose house was blown away by a hurricane. If you think that Best needs help, no one is stopping you, Keith knows where to find him. You can also order his tours - he is an excellent guide. Alternatively, you can go to the bar where Best has his main job and talk to the owner, like, why does he pay Best so little. Anyone interested?

You write with self-confidence and arrogance about things you have no idea about, you try to lecture about things you yourself don't understand one iota about, and you do it with the aplomb of Trump, whom you hate, but impersonate so well. "Who are you to lecture me?" (c) Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov

Hahaha This is joke of the day :))))) And most of them are located just in 2 areas: BoyzTown and Jomtien complex.

What about guide? Keith thinks what he wrote me something, but I got zero, so have no comments. If you are interested in learning about Best's personal life, I have no comment either - that's what the word "private" is for. But I can comment on Pattaya - from a business point of view, it's a shithole. Even Chiang Rai and Kanchanabury are more interesting from a business point of view. Pattaya only attracts meat lovers of both genders. I keep Pattaya on the Siamroads map only to give small support to these guys who get 2-3 tours a month from this "business" even at time of high season. Such support costs me zero money and 15-20 min of my time per month, but guys have additionally 4-6 KBahts per month for to survive.

That exactly I wrote: news for you. For us : expected changes.

This may be "news" for you, but here we knew about what was coming more than a week ago: Putin "sold" Syria to Erdogan back in November. That's why when Assad flew to Moscow last week, he sat in a hotel for two days and was not received in the Kremlin, and Putin was not even in Russia at the time.

He was locked up because he voluntarily signed a contract with a terrorist organization - based on Ukraine by the way. There are many naive people here who distribute anti-Putin leaflets. But the refrigerator has long since decided everything. They are detained, their leaflets are taken away, and they are simply fined for unregistered actions. And the boy was locked up for 5 years. And not at all for leaflets, as your propaganda is trying to present him, but for carrying out the tasks of "good uncles". I still have no idea why CNN pulled that story now - it was in 2023. -
Such a predictable and equally meaningless long post from an envious blue lemming? You still don't get it? No one reads your posts. Learn to write briefly and precisely. Stevie, have you taken the icon of St. Lichtman down from the wall in your home yet?

Dear, do you feel uncomfortable when you get facts instead of the propaganda you are shown on TV? Bla-bla-bla... A set of propaganda cliches? Have you tried thinking with your head? Many people there have a brain. Try it, maybe it will work? You will learn a lot about the world around you.
