US Travel Industry Badly Hit By Cancelled European Bookings
Moses replied to PeterRS's topic in The Beer Bar
Europeans just afraid to be in the middle of action of radical Dems... -
Yeah... so selective protection, huh? You will protect one part of population and discriminate another part of population? Own population, Ukrainian citizens. It is exactly in my example: protection of American people who prefer Reps and discriminate population who prefer Dems... right?
-
And that exactly means what junta is currently the only power in Myanmar which keeps Myanmar as a solid state.

So what? These parties had people behind them, people who voted them on elections. Ban of these parties means censorship in interests of Zelenskiy and his party. It's like Trump decided to ban the US Democratic Party right now because it threatens the Republican Party, and explained the ban as a "threat to US national security and sovereignty." Would you buy that?

... or forced to fight on the side of local gangs "for the freedom and democracy" - read it as "for rights of local elites to control local resources". (additional comment) That why so many Burmese flee from country - they don't want to take ether side, because they know: it isn't war for real democracy, it is war for who will control resources.
-
Well, actually they do - local elites control local "armies" - I prefer to name them "gangs". And by hands of these gangs they are fighting not only with central government, but also each other for to control local natural resources: gems and so on. +1000

Why you call country, where are more forbidden parties and medias than in Russia, "democracy"? By ChatGPT: TV channels banned personally by Zelenskiy, 5 of 8 were banned before conflict, in 2021:

Jardin with chocolate flavor is OK too, and in any cases better than chocolate flavor from Nespresso, but is not so good as Starbucks. Intensity 8.
-
My favorite is... intensity 11! I'm not sure if they are on sale in cofe-shops tho, I buy in e-shops
-
You should check Starbucks capsules for Nespresso machines, they are way more tasty than Nespresso is. Nespresso lost quality around 5 years ago.

Yeah, right from Kremlin windows :)))) Dreams... dreams...

I have bad news for you: economic laws work the same no matter what political regime a country has.
-
You see, what Trump is doing is quite logical if you look at it from the point of view of the state. He has a choice - to save the country or the people. He chose the country, because he doesn't care about the people to the extent that is quite indecent in the USA. But he doesn't care. You have to understand that by devaluing savings, he devaluates the national debt to exactly the same extent. You have to understand that by raising tariffs, he stimulates the transfer of production to the USA, which will lead to a decrease in unemployment and an increase in income not only from the tariffs themselves, but also from taxes on new workers. Here is table with 5 Nobel prize in economic, prepared by ChatGPT

It even has special name: "programming". Now you just notice it, then it will start to irritate you, then it will cause anger. And at any stage you can give up the habit of telling me about "Putin and windows", and discuss the facts... if you know how to do it, of course. Your "Putin and windows" appeared on this forum much more often than "two". Therefore I will leave it to you to decide whether the repetition is clever.

When a cat has nothing better to do, he licks his balls; when you have nothing to say in response, you start discussing me.

Look at the discussion above: PeterRS and I are discussing details and facts. We don't agree, our points of view are diametrically opposed, but we are talking about facts. And you? And yet, back in July 2024, on this forum, I wrote about the failure of the Democrats' policy, and the crisis in their party, and predicted Trump's victory. And then, too, in response I read about "Putin, a window, dictatorship" and other blah-blah-blah. When Joe was replaced by an inarticulate prosecutor, I wrote that it would be a failure. What did I hear in response? Right, "Putin, a window, blah-blah-blah." The assassination attempt on Trump made him a hero in the eyes of people with a certain level of education, and these people are the majority in the US, and then I wrote that Trump's victory was inevitable. What responses did I read? Have no doubt: "Putin, a window, blah-blah-blah." Do I need to remind you what was published in the politics section back then and what you all liked in unison? And this is what I wrote at that time

Me? Where? Could you please use glasses?

No. You. ChatGPT: Exactly because Myanmar is 4th biggest country, each neighborhood tries to use situation and feeding rebels - China from North, India from West, Thailand from East. And from each of these countries also pesky NGO under brand USAID trying make dirty business.

"For education purpose": each deal US-RU is going under special one-time license. US Can't survive without Russian enriched uranium, for example, (at least till 2027). Any other trade deals are forbidden. If the Joe Alzheimer administration had the opportunity to refuse some Russian goods, they would have done so in 2022. But for some goods, Russia either has a monopoly (rocket engines, enriched uranium), or holds a significant market share and offers very attractive prices (titanium). That is why licenses are issued for these goods. And in these conditions, setting tariffs on these goods means shooting yourself in the foot, because Russia can simply stop supplying goods for which there is no substitute. For reference: in 2024, share of Russian fertilizers was 17.1% of the entire US fertilizer market.
-
And Iran, North Korea. Why install tariffs where trade is forbidden by law?
-
I didn't. Whole my post was posted and edited before your posting. WRONG! Libya, Syria, Myanmar have a very important common feature - in all these countries the West supplied weapons and financed the "militia" movement. Behind all these armed conflicts are the dirty hands of the West and the games of the West with local elites.
-
The West really didn't like Gaddafi - he was friends with Moscow, controlled oil in Libya and, in general, didn't kiss the feet of the West. And in Libya they organized a hunt for him. Now Libya is "flourishing". The UN-recognized government of Libya controls only 5% of the country's territory, the rest of the territory is controlled by those whom you politely call "militia". Moreover, there are more of these "militia" than letters in the word "democracy" - from national ones like the Tuaregs to religious ones like ISIS. The country is destroyed, the economy is destroyed, but the West pretends that everything is fine in Libya now. You destroyed the country under the guise of "democratic change". And now you are trying to do the same with Myanmar. And you don't care about the country, the main thing for you is that China does not get stronger. And the talking heads on your TVs are broadcasting that Myanmar will soon be "liberated", that there will be democracy there. Well, look at the "democracy" in Libya. Look at the "democracy" in Syria, where secular law will be replaced by Sharia law.
