Naming and shaming: Jack from Circle Pub in Chiang Mai
caeron replied to moistmango's topic in Gay Thailand
While I am sure all of us can understand the frustration, I think this post is unnecessary. If all of your tip money was returned, then it seems quite likely that he will face severe repercussions at work. Also, it may be that if you're paying it all to the house, that they are keeping such a large portion of the guy's income that he feels he needs to play such games in the hopes of salvaging something. Hard to know, but whatever the case, "Jack" is likely to feel the full weight of the event. -
The question is what kind of friend. I think many westerners think friendship is by definition two equals. My experience is that in many other parts of the world this isn't true. These relationships come with expectations that the richer/older/wiser is the patron/mentor. Note the richer part. That doesn't mean the relationship is purely mercenary (though it could be), but it does often mean that the richer one is supposed to 'help' the younger one. So, I think it isn't always either/or. Sometimes its both. Proceed with whatever caution you deem warranted and assess it in the light that both want something from the relationship and it may not be the same thing even if both are fond of each other.

Has this new law affecting US museums gone too far?
caeron replied to unicorn's topic in The Beer Bar
Pretty sure if we dug up catholic relics and displayed them in museums with signage about the catholic burial customs there would be a lot of pissed off people. If Catholic skulls were gifted to a museum in the 60's that were used to study "characteristics of catholics", I'm pretty sure we would be appalled. They were digging up native burials into the 1900s. This isn't ancient history. -
I think it's a bit perverse that the piece of colonialism that many Africans held onto was homophobia. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/mar/08/african-homosexuality-colonial-import-myth

Has this new law affecting US museums gone too far?
caeron replied to unicorn's topic in The Beer Bar
Context helps. US museums held in the 1990s more than 200,000 native human remains. As of the 2022, only about half had been returned to their people. Human remains were still being given to museums in the 60s. Those looted graves also included funerary objects which were taken. I would personally be pretty appalled if my ancestors were being dug up and stuck in museum basements gathering dust because somebody thought their interest in how they were buried trumped any decent respect for the dead. US museums are stuffed with looted artifacts. I think it is long past time to hold them responsible for their collections. The law may have unintended consequences, but the problem it is very real and very current. I suggest anybody who is curious spend a few minutes with google to educate themselves. -
Yes, those Japanese women making impossible demands of men like being treated like equal human beings whose sole purpose isn't to fluff the male ego. What Japanese man could manage that? It has been a few decades since I lived there, but I can't imagine the rampant misogyny has changed that much. Compare Korea's 4b movement and its similar origins. The Korean government has spent billions trying to improve its birthrate with no success. I guess the male legislators can't understand that no matter how much glitter they sprinkle on the cage, women don't want to go back in.

Felony Murder is a common way for criminals to get murder convictions. If you kill someone while committing a felony, the charge is often higher even if you didn't mean to kill anyone. The law for this differs by state. I'd guess it had something to do with illegal street racing which caused the deaths and led to a higher charge.

I get the nervousness, but it isn't that scary. The only real "danger" is you'll get charged more than average if they sense you're naïve. Hopefully some locals will offer up more current details. Have fun. I love the city.

Nearly Darwin award worthy.

Kids keep dying subway surfing. I'm all for good fun, but the fun ends at death. I guess I never was the type that got a thrill from doing shit like that. If I wanted to live large, I'd do this... https://www.xnxx.com/video-166qqfaf/big_dick_beefcake_assfucks_his_client_in_a_public_gym

But not very bright. What an embarrassing obit that would be.

Indeed. Both Iran and North Korea have locked up innocent tourists. If they think they might need currency for an exchange, you might become it. I wouldn't go to either of these countries.

As a public service announcement, I remind fellow forum users that you may from your profile ignore users. No point in engaging with morons on the internet. EmmetK is such a one, and he won't respond to reason. He apparently is turned on by rotting pumpkin face. Best ignored. I have, you can too.

I'm pretty sure she doesn't use any bathroom given how much shit comes out of her mouth.

I can well imagine how much Tucker wants to be fisted by Putin.

Sounds intriguing. I've been thinking about a gay trip to india.

Falun Gong is also rabidly anti-gay. A little google will reveal that a gay man shouldn't be supporting them.

Trump insists to aides he's 'more popular' than Taylor Swift.
caeron replied to Stable Genius's topic in Politics
Oh cut Trump a break. It isn't his fault that he was misquoted. He said he was more Poopular than Taylor Swift. Who can argue with that? -
My brother was a senior actor in the US intelligence community. He is a hard core republican. Even he said that Trump was a horror to brief because he was only interested in himself. He lacked the intelligence and the focus to understand what he was presented and to act rationally upon it. He will never vote for Trump. We disagree on almost everything politically, but he isn't an idiot. He sees Trump for who he has proven himself to be repeatedly. Trump has managed to persuade a large part of the US that we're in crisis. Like conspiracy lovers who want to believe that only they know "the truth", his fearful followers cannot be dissuaded because they get so much emotional satisfaction from thinking that they know "the truth". Facts be damned. They "know". While I hate to lose the Internet, Trump pulls the exact same strings that Mussolini and Hitler did. Stoke fear and then ride that wave to ultimate power... followed invariably by a horrific collapse. But these kind of leaders want their narcissism sated, no matter the cost. I've hated a lot of republicans in my time, but I look to history and see that leaders like Trump have destroyed democracies before. I think Trump would like to do it again. I wish we had an alternative to Biden, but almost anyone is a better choice than Trump. His self-obsession is a danger to every American.

I am clearly not the target audience, but yuck.

There has been a lot of discussion over the years about this, because some believe (with cause) that bringing Garotos to your place is dangerous. I'm surprised you didn't find most of these sites with Google. That's how I found them originally.

Trump Says All Immigrants Are "Poisoning The Blood" of the US.
caeron replied to Bingo T Dog's topic in Politics
More illegals please. With enough poison, maybe it will kill of the cancer of Trump and his crybaby followers. -
I feel a great deal of shame. And I expect the virile, handsome young men to punish me for my nasty ways. Repeatedly.

Russia is a shithole. I feel bad for anybody who can't get out.

I'm more visual, I think, but the smell of a man can make me pretty randy too.
