Ok so I’ve been asked to report back on the one if I visit, however I thought I would report on what I did so far, and since I’m now resting after a long day sight seeing i have some time. No breakfast provided but on ground floor facing street there’s 7/11 and walk to Foodland is not that long. Tittle is misleading but was given to this trip by our member bkkmfj who accompanied me to Bangkok during this short, 2 days in Pattaya and 6 in Bangkok trip to Thailand last month. With excess time I went to train station to exchange some money, then ate something in coupon restaurant by gate 8 and went to the booth to exchange my bus reservation for an actual ticked as instructed when booked on website. I got moment of enlightenment since it was 10.45 and asked if I can get seat on 11.00 am bus. Luckily , there was seat but I was charged extra 50 baht for changing reservation. Around 1 pm I was already marching to Agate hotel in Jomtien Complex where room was already waiting for me. After desoiling I went to 7/11 across the street for some goodies and decided to see N, my semi regular there at his massage place nearby. No sign of him, as I learned later he went to see his folks at home for few days but consolation was at hand at the same shop. Bangkok - part 3 I am back home already so this is the last part of my trip. Stayed in some hotels I haven't stayed at before, met some new boys as well as rekindled with some old ones, and I was fortunate enough to hang out with Vinapu 3 times! We started our nights having a drink at the front of Banana bar before heading off to a gogo bar. Hotels Ibis Styles Silom - I had a decent stay here. It is fairly new and quite clean, however the rooms are a little on the smaller side. The room layout is also quite interesting with an absolutely massive shower, and then the bathroom sink on the outside. It seemed to work though. I was on the highest floor of the rooms and had a nice view of a carpark. At least I had an outside view as the rooms on the other side of the floor faced towards the 'atrium' so they would have received no natural light. They are guest friendly with no-one batting an eyelid when bringing your gentleman of the evening. Would I stay again? Probably not, but it was worth giving it a try. Le Meridien - It was a highlight to stay at this hotel. From the get-go, the level of service and hospitality was unmatched compared to everywhere else that I stayed. I booked direct and had the Marriott Bonvoy app installed on my phone and they sent a notification when my room was ready - which happened to be at around 11:30am which meant I could just pop over from Ibis Styles without having to wait around. The app also allowed me to unlock my room without using the card. The room was huge and well-appointed and this hotel also is guest friendly. I had a 'beef brisket burger' from the restaurant downstairs, which is something I wouldn't normally get, but it was actually really delicious. Normally I would say that Crowne Plaza is my favourite in the area, but I think Le Meridien might just take the cake. The only reason I would choose Crowne over Meridien is the proximity to the BTS/MRT and also it is on the 'correct' side of Surawong Road. Bars Dreamboys - I've been here countless times so nothing much more needs to be said, and I ended up taking back my regular from here who I've known for a few years. I like him and we are comfortable with each other, but I get the feeling sometimes that he is becoming a little complacent in his efforts. The show was pretty standard, and there was another boy that I liked but as soon as I mentioned it, another customer took him off straight away. Have to be quick! Hotmale - It was a quiet night when I visited, but the show went on. Since there weren't many customers (and at one stage I was the only one), when the big cock show came around, I tipped them all (there were only 4 guys). He seemed to know many of the staff there, and my body was already saying no, so I left him there to have fun (which he was completely fine with) and I went back to the hotel to sleep and he rang me later on when he was ready to come back. This guy is getting a little too attached to me, and I do like him too, but I have been trying to cool it a little because I cannot return the feelings back that he seems to have for me. He's a good guy though, really sweet. In the morning we went to foodland, and funnily enough he got the farang breakfast whilst I had a rice soup. Sexual health clinic - if you are looking to get tested, I would recommend Pribta Tangerine Clinic, which is in the Chamchuri building, close to Sam Yan MRT. I think it is cheaper than the more popular Pulse clinic. It is really well-run and pretty efficient. The clinic is very clean and neat and all the staff speak English. It was pretty busy when I went though. The results were emailed to me a few hours after I had left. Here in my home country, it takes a few days at least. So that marks the end of my 2 month trip. I have never taken a holiday this long before, but I am glad that I gave it a try. There were times where I was done and felt like coming home, but towards the end I needed more time! I got lazy often and was always saying 'I'll do it tomorrow' but then there were no more tomorrows left! But all in all I had a great time, and even got to meet with a few lovely forum members. This trip I also noticed more and more people thought I was Thai, which has happened in the past, but not to this extent. I take it as a compliment though. I'm planning my next trip for maybe a year's time, but who knows, the temptation may become too great and I will find myself back sooner rather than later. Thanks for reading!

Day 8 , last After my guy left I had good sleep till late morning , them went for breakfast and returned to the room to pack up. Earlier I asked about the option of late check out as my plane leaves at 7.pm but I was told by lady who seemed to be in charge that there are no rooms available. Second visit to Bangkok 15/11/25 So this is my second only visit to Bangkok and my first trip report. I will try to do an update every three days or so as I am taking my time and won’t have much to add on a daily basis. Staying at the Hilton Millenium a little out but only 15 minutes to Sala Daeng and 100 bhat in the taxi back from Soi 4 so not too bad and I like the full service hotels and have points so that’s another reason I use the hotel, also no issues taking people to room. First night I did not realise was Loi Krathong so the hotel was full with youngsters in traditional dress taking there Lantern’s down to the pier to put in the river, very nice to see. To take away the stress of the first night I had a boy from Dreamboys who I offed twice on my fist visit come for the night, we have stayed in touch since February so was nice to see him, go to Icon Siam for a meal, the place was very busy and then have first night fun, he headed home after a large breakfast. Hilton dose serve a very large and good spread. Hello Everyone, I am back from my 2-Week Bangkok Trip. This was my first time ever in Thailand. Below I will share a brief summary of my trip. Firstly because this was my first time, my trip was divided into 3 sections. Hey folks. I've enjoyed reading trip reports on here in the past (most recently CallMeLee's excellent thread) so I thought I would share my experiences. This is an on-going report, so I will update it as needed as the month progresses. I'm only including my experiences with moneyboys and the bar system, and won't include day-to-day activities or personal hook-ups. I will detail sauna visits in as much as possible. I can't help but feel like I'm being scammed when I compare these experiences with ones I've read in the past. Please share all that you know with me, and I'll try and answer any question you have. The bar was quite packed, and perhaps as clientele that didn't look like they needed to spend money (my friend is a well-built caucasian male), we got sat in the corner table left of the front stage. We had a partially obscured view, but the advantages would be apparent later. Once sat, a waiter comes up with a flashlight and a menu. A drink is included with the entrance fee, but it's non-alcoholic. You pay extra for that, are you surprised? That's fine with us as we want to see the show we weren't planning on drinking. We order a Coke Zero each. To me, the 500 THB fee is worth it for the show. I wouldn't recommend ordering a second drink though. Spend that money on something more worthwhile. I was actually giddy with excitement. While not particularly horny, I am always interested in seeing an attractive guy showing off his physique. Luckily the men met my expectations. Nearly all of them had lean, muscular bodies with several being substantially larger. Only one model was an average looking Twink, and I actually felt a little sad for him being surrounded by what was on stage. Many of the models had tattoos and gave a polished gang vibe, like they'd definitely slam you against a wall by your neck. Hot. My favourite thing about Jupiter is that you can see the gym equipment and watch the models pump before their performances. It's also a two-level stage, and models often hang out on the top portion and look down after they've done their walk. You can view them at a different angle. It's a good venue and offers more voyeuristic opportunities than any other. The show itself starts with the introduction of the models. They each come on stage, one by one, and walk along a track through the bar. It gives the crowd a good opportunity to see them up-close, and of course to offer them a tip if you want to get their attention. That's another positive about Jupiter, but I'll touch on that at the end. The performance continues with an act from 4 of the men. It's a dance number with okay choreography, but one of the models doesn't quite match up. The models perform with a serious, stern look. It's quite sexy and gives an intensity to their performance. After this, I'm approached by one of the many mamasans of the bar. My friend points out that he's pretty attractive himself. He's in his 40's but I agree, a retired performer himself? More feminine than most of the models though, but not overly. I'm asked which one I want and I'm surprised I'm given such an early pick. That's not my intention tonight though. I'm just here to watch the full show with a friend, and takes notes for a future visit. "All of them!" I say, smiling ear to ear. They take the hint and walk away. My friend says that he might take the offer in the future. I'm a little surprised as I didn't expect him to be open to it. We each talk about which ones are our favourites. My choices all have big muscles, big ears and tattoos. There are quite a few I would consider! Upwards of 8. Does Jupiter have the best roster, or should this be expected everywhere I go? Luckily Jupiter does it right again. The performance is good but not great, thankfully the queen can lip-sync as I unfortunately found out that's not a minimum requirement for a lot of these place. Imagine that. There is a drag performance immediately afterward, but this one is more of a mixed performance. The drag performer plays the role of "the woman" and a one of the models plays the role of "the mysterious man." He wears a trench coat with no shirt underneath and looks down, taking long drags from a cigarette as smoke envelops around him. The drag performer lip-syncs from above the stage as he stands on the lower stage, eventually stripping down and "showering." He shows an enormous cock very briefly and my friend and I are shocked. This man is immediately my number one choice as he fits every criteria I'm looking for. He's big and broad with ripped abs, has many tattoos, big ears and as we just witnessed, a massive cock. I'd estimate it at 8 inches and quite thick. As we are on the front side of the stage, we get quite a good look at it! I think I have done enough research. I have my choice, but not tonight. We slowly sip our drinks and no one bothers us again. They do sit another patron at our table. They approach him several times and eventually he's moved to a better seat. I tell my friend that it's because he's spending money. Surely enough, he's soon sitting with one of the models. The bar has several women in it tonight. One Chinese woman is dressed very nicely, and keeps buying shots for the models. She also places a 1000 THB ring around two of the model's necks. My friend and I question what this is. Is he the top performer? Is he off the market for the night? I found out that it's merely a way of giving a large tip. I was wondering why she was so special! Her attire threw me off. Was she attending a gala immediately afterwards? Did I see a diamond tiara on her head? Oh, no, it's just her radiant beauty sparkling from across the floor. Another patron in front of us gives a 100 THB bill to each performer as they walk past him. He gropes them with each tip and jiggles his belly with glee. He's a young Chinese guy. I keep this in mind for future visits. The show finishes off without any other memorable performances, and as the night goes on, the stage is filled with less and less models. One of the performances ends and then nothing else happens, so my friend and I assume the show must be over. I believe there is a second performance, but I can't imagine it would be as good. Who's left? Do they restock with a fresh set of faces? We both have to be up quite early tomorrow as we are taking a day trip together, so we quickly sip the remaining soda we have and we walk out. We say our goodbyes as we are staying in different hotels, in opposite directions. He says he enjoyed the show and would like to go to the other show I told him about, Tawan. I agree. I watch as he walks away and wait for him to look back. He turns the corner. All I see are night vendors. I pause for a moment, my cock twitches. I consider walking back in and bringing one of the models back home with me...

About week after I retuned from Aug 2024 trip I spotted extremely good airfare to Bangkok for mid January and decided to buy it even if I had my doubts I will be able to utilize it for many of reasons. Ticket was cheap but there was price for it – very early departure at 6 am, three legs so involving two connections on the way and late arrival I Bangkok, just before midnight. It worked, all three fights arrived 30-60 minutes before scheduled time and only complain I have was that cabin in United flight to Narita was cold. I had sweater but could use winter jacket which was tucked in check-in luggage as I did not expect I will need it until I return home. Of course while standing in long but fast moving immigration line I was spotted by my friend so my cover was blown right there. My luggage was already waiting for me , his came quite fast and we shared taxi to our hotels , first his in Sukhumvit and than mine in soi 3. I was in my room just before 1 am and decided to take shower and do survey of the area. As it was past bar closing time I spotted few known faces dining here and there , with friends or alone. The Tokyo public transit system has a reputation in my mind of being efficient yet potentially complex for newbies. So I went to the ticket counter and was sold two tickets that got me a train to Nippori station and then on a subway ride to Shinjuku. Made it there with no errors. I arrived at the hotel at noon and was told that my room would not be ready until 2pm but that I could upgrade to a similar room with a Mt.Fuji view for only $47 more and that would allow me immediate check in. I took the offer seeing as the hotel was already free for the night because I used my annual Hyatt category 1-4 free night cert. The card has a $100 annual fee so this hotel is worth way more than that. It's soon to become a category 5 hotel so will no longer be in range of my free night cert once the hotel renovations are complete. Alright I'll stop with the points stuff for now. My original plan was to go to King of College and get a better understanding of how their system works. I walked to it from my hotel about 30 minutes away. Once I'd got to the right location I still hadn't got a response from KOC account on the Line app. I sent them a message but there was also an error I was getting when trying to add them on Line. I'll have my Line issues fixed by the next time I come to Asia for sure. The way I think King of College works is that you walk in and if it's your first time then a bartender should tell you how the system works. I think this might cost you 1700 yen. I'm interested if this is kind of like a host bar concept where if you really like one of the guys you can pay to take it further. It seems like you'd be buying them drinks and such also while they entertain you. I'll save this for later because I ended up walking about 7 minutes further to Danshi Gakuen. I could not add them on the Line app so I used their English language website's 'contact us' function. I asked if they were open for walk-ins and that I was outside. They said yes and to press the intercom when you get to the third floor. I preferenced DG over KoC because of the ultra quick response time. I'd say less than 5 minutes passed before getting a response when I messaged them. The response was sent to my email. I went up and talked to the manager and he brought me inside. We heavily relied on Google Translate. He said there were three guys on property and that I could look through an album. I assume this meant that they could try to get a boy from elsewhere to rush over if they were available. I was able to narrow down who was available on their website using the narrowing functions of 1)Workday(who was available today) 2)Age(from youngest descending to oldest) 3) Straight. So going in I had my eye on a couple of guys and it just so happened that one of my picks was already here. The manager had him walk in and smile at me so I could confirm he was accurately portrayed in the pictures. I agreed and said that I would like to book him for 12 hours for 34k yen(about $230) The manager asked if I was looking for anything anal related and I said no which was good because they guy I selected is straight and not up for that. I said I would like kissing and 'boyfriend experience' and he knew exactly what I meant. Once the manager confirmed with the boy I paid in cash at 7pm and they said the 12 hours begins at 9pm and ends at 9am and comes with a room in the building and use of a shower/toilet. I rushed back to my hotel and packed some essentials and rushed back and made it there with 15 minutes to spare as the frozen rain was hitting me. Once we both got off we started talking about getting a meal somewhere since the night was young. This was exactly what I was hoping for. The whole way he held an umbrella over us which I found so sweet of him. We got back to the room at about 1am where we shared another shower and jumped back in bed. I could tell he was ready for sleep so I would not be persistent in nagging him to get sexual if I sensed he wasn't into it. We cuddled and kissed some more and eventually fell asleep. I told him I'll try not to wake him up or touch him overnight and he said he didn't mind. So I was able to caress him and kiss him at various points throughout the night. King of College has an Instagram account and the last two nights around 8:30pm they posted a story that says who is available at the bar. One guy looks tempting but his face is blurred so that's a potential red flag for me. I guess I can always just walk away and pay only 1700 yen. The price at DG for 90 minutes was something like 15k yen so I just ran the numbers in my mind and 34k yen for 12 hours just seemed the most bang for the buck. Well, that's all for now I need to see some cultural sights before choosing my next boy wherever that may be. I don't have hotels yet for my last few nights in Japan so I could stay in Tokyo longer or jump to Osaka anytime.

I spent a week in PP catching up with a Canadian friend and we visited a lot of the specified places together. I have tried to be as factual as possible and I’d like to thank FloridaRob, vinapu and Harrystiilees for the info they gave me before my trip. A few general observations: Since my last visit 10 years ago, the traffic seems to have increased dramatically and certainly the car is king here. Be very careful crossing roads as some traffic do not adhere to traffic lights and pavements in many parts of the city are non existent. I felt safe wandering around the city but do ensure that you have enough lower denomination dollar notes as higher denominations can be difficult to spend. Tuk tuks plentiful and $2-3 dollars seemed to be the standard fare. Bars I visited Space Bar which was next to my hotel (Sun and Moon) twice. I met the owners, one of whom is from Spain and their adorable dogs that are friendly and in the bar. The waiters/hosts are incredibly fit and hot and tend to be more muscular and they will sit with you if you buy them a drink. Some guys spoke reasonable English and got very playful as the evening progressed. Some guys took their shirts off after midnight and were quite touchy feely. Very flirtatious but it ended there. The drinks were of a very good quality and it was. Fun place to visit with an interesting mix of local boys and visiting tourists and expat locals. I visited again and the same host guys I talked to on the first visit tended to monopolise my table despite the fact I was interested in talking to some of the other guys. It is the luck of the draw if you choose guys to sit with you who can’t really communicate except by translation apps. Around 12 host guys there when I visited. I would certainly recommend this friendly and laid back bar as a fun start or end to your evening. Fantastic eye candy. We spent a great evening at Toolbox bar. Doug the owner is a lovely, approachable guy and was happy to chat and give advice about PP. We went around 9pm on a Fri and there are about 20 host guys and 6 customers but the bar got busier with visitors from 10pm onwards. It was a great atmosphere especially as the boys did a number of interesting dance routines on the pool table! Very much a party atmosphere and the music was varied and fun. The boys are certainly of the twink variety and they were friendly, good looking and tactile. Drinks of a great quality and the bar also serves a selection of hot food. This was the bar that we enjoyed ourselves the most in PP and we stayed around 4 hours. Well worth a visit if only to see the beautiful boys there. We visited Blue Chili which seemed to be a large venue but didn’t stay as we were the only customers there. When passing again on a Friday evening, the place seemed completely packed and people were queuing to get in. It seemed to have a mixed crowd and we were told the busiest nights are Friday and Saturday. Massage I had some variable experiences during my time in PP. I visited Paradise Massage which is above the POC bar. Only one guy available to give massage and he was a young twinky type. Massage ($15 for an hour oil massage) was quite poor with little technique and expertise. I ended the massage early as it was not enjoyable. The premises look quite run down and general cleanliness was an issue. I would not recommend this place. I visited Hatha Khmer twice and I was delighted by the massages there. There were around 15 guys to choose from when I visited and you choose your guy from behind a window where they assemble, a bit like arena in BKK. A good range of guys that would satisfy most tastes. The first massage was an hour’s oil massage ($10) and the guy certainly was experienced and knew what he was doing. An excellent, firm massage and the $30 dollar tip was well deserved for the many extras he provided. The second massage was an hour and a half oil massage for $15 and the different masseur was good but not as firm or experienced as the first guy and this showed in his massage technique. The invariable fun that followed was prolonged and unrushed and a $30 tip was well earned. He even offered to bring another masseur into the massage room for fun if I wanted that. I was very happy with the venue which was clean and well decorated, the choice of hot guys as well as the quality of the massage and the extras. Well recommended. Saunas I visited 2 saunas during my stay. Love Spa is just around the corner from Hatha Khmer massage. It was $3 entry and it was quite busy at 5pm mid week. As far as I could gather I was the only Western guy there and the guys were primarily Cambodian. When changing, it was a bit disconcerting to have around 5 massage guys watching me and asking constantly if I needed a massage. Certainly the most aggressive approach I came across in Cambodia. The thing about this spa is that the spa areas and corridors are completely dark and it is like walking in a darkroom. For me, this was quite dangerous as I tripped over as I couldn’t see where I was going. I decided to leave as for me, it was an accident waiting to happen. My friend was staying at Arthur and Paul hotel. I visited on a Saturday night to go to the spa and it started to get busy after 9pm. $10 entry fee. The bar area is spacious and lovely and the pool area is a good place to relax, swim and talk to other guys. There seemed to be a lot of younger Cambodian guys in attendance. Again, the issue for me was the lack of light and the spa area and showers were too dark for me to walk around safely. Guys are friendly around the bar, pool area and changing room and this is a great place to link up with cute Cambodian guys. My friend, who was staying at the hotel enquired about the darkness level and one of the Cambodian guys stated that Cambodian guys are quite shy and don’t want to be seen having sex in a spa! As an addendum, my friend loved staying at A and P and raved about the breakfast, staff and massages which he deemed to be excellent ($20 for an hour plus tip). The staff here are good looking guys who will look after you if you decide to stay at the hotel. Apps I got lots of messages from guys on the usual apps (Grindr, Hornet and Heesay) but did not manage to hook up with anyone due to time constraints. I hope you find this info useful. Back a few years ago, I said I met the love of my life at Tawan. Well, there were many naysayers. But, here is the thread: So, skip forward a few years, we are still together and doing great. He has been an amazing addition to this old man's later life. He keeps me busy, on my toes, and entertained. Not easy to do, but sometimes, you just know on the first meet. The BF of over 20 years, I knew that day. And, we are still together (kinda) as he has a farm now and lives with his family but talk daily. When I call, he comes that day. When I need him, he is there. When he needs me, I'm there. As for the love of my life, he has been a true joy. Don't let the people tell you that romance dies at a certain age or that every bar boy is the same. They are not. They are often diamonds in the rough and it takes patience, love, attention, and money.

It may be because I've just returned from Thailand and am, bluntly, fed-up....that I can sympathise with visitors who have disappointments there; we all do, whether it be an unsuccessful "off" or, in my case, a poor meal. Very few of those, by the way! However, for someone contemplating a grey, chilly day in London, thousands of miles away from his loved-one I must encourage adopting the Buddhist principle of (as P tells me, ad nauseam) "thinking good." It is true that, the older I get, the harder it is to look on the bright side but, for heaven's sake, the vast majority of guys on the scene whom we meet are friendly, reasonable in their demands. And fun. That was my experience, anyway. For me, just to wander through the JC before bedtime (embarrassingly early in my case) enjoying the cheerful smiles, the enticing offers- cheerful and not persistent when refused- and the sheer joyfulness (at their best) of the guys is something I treasure. And even more so in retrospect. I just like being smiled at! Is there anywhere else in the world where such pleasures are available so cheaply and so safely? and when the assignation isn't so good, it is so easy to say, "Mai pen rai; tomorrow's will be better". And it will be.

Arrival This time is was quite a long trek since I had 12 hours layover in Munich. After overnight flight my plan was to do some sightseeing of the city, few people I know consider most interesting in Germany. But even best plans are derailed and sometimes replaced by even better ones. Upon arrival at main train station, itself a long train ride from the airport , count at least 45 minutes, I noticed train to Garmish Patenkirchen departing in 7 minutes. Enough time to place my carry-on in locker, ticket was no issue as I got 1 day Bavaria Ticket purchased at the airport already. 90 minutes later alighted from the train at Garmish but instead of admiring Alpine vistas I noticed poster about train trips to Germany’s highest peak Zugspitze. Round trip to the peak by separate train plus cable car up and down was 72 euros. I said silent prayer that it will work and soon I was on my way . at certain point we changed train to different one, cog wheeled which took us through the tunnel to the glacier, quite high up there. From last station it was cable car to viewing platform just below the actual peak. Day was beautiful so you can imagine views from the top. Going down was direct cable car from the top to train station. From there to Garmish and then another train to Munich. Getting there just in time to catch train to the airport and board my Bangkok bound overnighter. Little I knew at that time that this transit day was perhaps best day of entire trip, bonus being completely unplanned and not even expected to be spent that way. Day 1 Arrived in Bangkok at 14.30. First step was to buy SIM card as I was supposed to meet another ,member who was about to finish his Thai trip with 3 days in Pattaya and this way my first were his last 3. Immigration was a breeze and soon we meet at Gate 8 from where Bus to Pattaya departs but we decided to call Bolt or Grab, whatever my friend was using and for 1000 baht plus 100 tip , 80 minutes after we were alighting in front of Classroom hotel. Since it was my friend’s first visit in the city we did walk about Boyztown’s sois an Beach Rd, I showed him famous Lewinsky hotel, we sat for a dinner at bay watch restaurant and at 21.00 parked ourselves, beer in hand on Copa’s verandah to see Boyztown coming to life. All was good - the 4 hands massage, the "afters", and the "cool down shower" get ready to go back outside onto the streets of Bangkok. My program was expensive - as I selected the VIP room and 2 guys for 90 minutes. I paid 1.750 to the massage shop and each guy's minimum tip was 1.800 each - so the total for my birthday extravaganza was: 5.350 baht. For me it was well worth it. They have much cheaper prices for standard rooms and with just 1 masseur for 60 minutes instead of 90 minutes. Would I go again? YES, as it was nice to see another Bangkok neighborhood and to experience a decadent type of new massage shop like GLAM. I wish them the best of luck. Enjoy.

So I have been on the forum for sometime to collect tips / lessons learned from the different posts here, as well as refering to external resources. I thought it would be great just to share my observation on best practices in the forum. Hoping that this could be helpful for first timer gay visit to Bangkok. The forum here also contains many trip report which are written by forum veterans … (Vinapu and others) Massage Parlor Understand that there are different type of massage parlors. Not all massage parlors are created equal: Booking or not: Parlors along Silom area tend to operate on walk-ins (VCK Club, Arena massage) while Saphan Khwai operate on booking basis (KMAN, Phetboy, One, etc). You must have LINE on your phone and add individual massage parlors on LINE to make prior booking. From what I gather, the booking need not to be made too far in advance - a day or two before is probably sufficient Tipping: It is important to understand what is the minimum tips required for each shop. Whereas the massage parlor state a minimum tip of 1000 baht+ - this signals that some sex is included - if you are not sure and want to have an exact activity in mind, be sure to ask in advance. The common courtesy here is to tip above minimum (up to 50%+) if service received is good. General thai massage parlor: Some stores along Silom are just a general massage place (like Green Massage by way of example). Here there will be a negotiation with the masseur if you want additional service and what that entails Not all massage parlors have “happy ending”. For instance, Prime Massage is known for their quality massage and unlikely you’ll have happy ending here. Some men-oriented massage is targeted at high end of the market and will not have sex involved (e.g. Prestige massage, MSense Massage) comes to mind There are tons of massage shops out there - some are geared toward tourist with tried and true business model (VCK, Prince, Ssense, Gannymede, Arena) while some are geared toward local (KMan, Aura, One, etc). There are stores further out too that are just not in tourist area (Taywa, Master Gallery, etc). VCK club is likely the most famous shop among foreigners - I’ve heard that the service in this store has gone down with it being too mechanical. You’ll likely be in and out well below the time purchased If receiving masseur photos in advance, be cautioned that the photo has been enhanced in post-edit - just to keep expectations realistic. The profile of the masseur will often indicate HEIGHT/WEIGHT/ Orientation (Gay/Straight/Bisexual) / Tool size. Generally have cash ready for tips and to purchase the massage. Do not bring valuables or too much cash. Gogo Bar (The One, Dreamboy, Moonlight, etc) GoGo bar is another way (beside Massage parlor) that enable you to have an ‘encounter’. Each bar has its own forte and the reports by various forum members here describe the type of performers are there. Sometimes you can also check out their TikTok to see the lineup of guys there. There is typically en entrance fee (500 Baht+) that includes a drink The shows typically start late 10p+ During the show, you will have an opportunity to interact with ‘mamasan’ or ‘papasan’ to see which boy you are interested to take with you at the end of the night The best practice here it seems is to have a quick chat with the boy first (with mamasan/papasan help, or just wave at him). If you have a chat with the performer, then you need to buy him a drink and maybe a small tip like 100 baht (if you dont end up taking him) During the negotiation, the best practice is to ask how much is his service be depending on your preference (Short time - couple of hours, or Long time - until next day). This is to avoid surprise of tip amount at the end. If you absolutely need certain activity to be carried out, it also does not hurt to ask now I believe the rate for ST here is about 1500baht-2000baht whereas long term can be as much as 3000-3500baht. You will also need to pay a bar fine 500baht typically when you take the boy away If the boy end up leaving earlier than anticipated, you adjust the tip accordingly (advice per forum member here) Based on my guestimation, the time you will be able to take the boy off with you is likely well past midnight - therefore this method is less than ideal to those who tend to like to sleep earlier Apps (Grindr/Hornet/JackD/etc) App is a very common way to find ‘encounter’. Of course, this is probably one of the more uncharted territory that comes with its own risk and reward. It is important to state your boundary if you have any (Such as no drugs, no alcohol, etc). Pay attention to emoji / description of the profile If you encounter money boy, looks like the rate is similar to the rate quoted above for Gogo Boy I heard some hotels as safety measures are more strict with guests and that you may have to register him. I think that’s totally cool and add layer of protection Sauna / Baththouse Some famous sauna in Bangkok comes to mind like Krubb, Sauna Mania, R3, etc. These saunas involve an entry fee (500baht?) and has the typical feature of a gay baththouse: change room, dark room, shower, onsen, sauna, movie room, lounge area, etc You can see in advance which day the sauna may have a ‘special peformance’ that night which may involve some group activity which you may participate / just see As with any visit to any gay bathhouse, it is 100% YMMV (Your Mileage may vary). However, if you go in with the expectation just to experience it - especially during night of performance - that on its own can be rewarding to some extent Safety / STD: This need not to be said that you need to pay attention to it. Best practice for STD prevention should be top of mind. At the end of the day, just as with any trip, you may have good experience on certain days and encounter hiccup on another - so don’t worry. Well, I made it! Thursday morning United Airlines Flight from San Francisco to Tokyo, 5 hour layover, then more hours on the ANA flight to Bangkok. Arrived as Friday turned into Saturday. Using the benefit of being an ancient and following long time ago advice from PaulSF and Reader I bypassed the general immigration area and went to the monk/diplomat/old fart line. Changed some money and then my bag tumbled onto the conveyor belt. Then through the green channel at customs and down one flight to the taxi stand. Checked my watch and found that it had taken 22 minutes from departing the plane to negotiation of the taxi fee and heading to Bangkok. Quick check in at Quarter Silom. Decided to not unpack but, rather, to see what was up and happening, I thought I’d read that the closing hours were extended to 2am. So out of the hotel, soi 6 had a few guys sitting across from the dark Tawan (need to put the new name into my memory), noted that the Coffeee Grinder Silom space was up for rent. Massage emporia darkened, many with the foot massage chairs occupied by sleeping staff. Patpong was a clatter of booths being dismantled and Tuk Tuk availability being shouted. Tuned onto the next street which features a dispensary much better lit than the ones in California. A bit surprised by the aggressiveness of the “women” at the new bar (I’ll have to get the name and put in my next report). One even grabbed my arm and forcibly blocked me from forward progress - I had to push her away. Hot Male Bar and the grabber for the show were busy, I put off checking out the show which I thought might not be too busy for Mr at 1am. Went to Good Boys which in its former life was always one to stay open as long as possible…it was open and crowded….very crowded. And, I came to understand what it must be like for Vinapu, PaulSF, and Reader when they arrive after a time away. At least 40 boys on stage or in the club. Several were formerly at Banana,Hot Male, etc. and knew me then and the Vietnamese who remembered me well enough to surround me and provide much fondling, kissing, etc. I bought a few drinks and the crew around me expanded - it was clear that the Vietnamese had decided to keep others away and my eyes from wandering, which they were going. Again no, then we both laughed as I said that if I over tipped the first night in town, the word would get out and my expenses would expand. He laughed pointed out that I’d managed to avoid the off fee and confirmed with another laugh and smile that I was correct in the word of mouth as he’d already had texts about our encounter. We exchanged Line info, and he gave me the bar tag #s for CoCo, himself, and someone he thought I’d like. The sun was beginning to emerge as he emerged from the building. I have not put in his name, real/stage, as he is a Viet who kisses, sucks, bottoms, and tops. Qualifications rarely found over many many years of Viet boy experience.

I just returned from 12 days in Da Nang, Vietnam - as I needed to escape Thailand's Songkran water splashing madness. I LOVE Da Nang - a mid size city right on the South China Sea with little to no pollution as the winds from the sea keep things fresh. I live in Jomtien, Thailand and I found that Da Nang from a financial point of view to be between 20% to 30% cheaper than what things cost in the Pattaya area - I believe that is because the VND - Vietnamese Dong currency is not doing well at the moment. I'm now travelling outside of Bangkok, so here are some notes from recent times. It's been a little quiet on the guy-front whilst I've been in recovery, so not too much excitement to report on as of yet. I tried out a couple of hotels (that I haven't tried before) in the general area - BnB98 - I found this whilst perusing google maps. It's in the same small alley as Pula Silom and G.O.D nightclub, and I thought I would give it a try since it didn't look too bad and is well-located. This is a strange one though - you can book via the usual channels (booking.com/agoda) however there is no reception (there is a cafe downstairs that is run by the same people as the hotel - I think). Basically they will send you a one-time-code to open the room and inside is a door card to use for the remainder of the trip. Since there is no reception, my passport details were not taken so I am not sure how they get away with not reporting your stay to immigration (as hotels usually do). Anyhow, the prices are reasonable and there are also some cheap rooms with shared bathrooms. I was booked in for 4 nights, but I lasted 1. My issues - the door did not have any secondary lock from the inside. Since there was no reception, the front door is always open so anyone could just go up into the building. It is so noisy - I could deal with it being so close to the BTS, I could deal with the noise of the nightclub nearby, but I couldn't deal with the man singing karaoke at 6am. The bathroom blinds also didn't fully cover the windows so it's possible someone in the building opposite may have gotten an eyeful if they were looking close enough, and there was no room safe. Some of these things I already knew from reading the reviews, but I just couldn't do it! I thought it would be good to be right up in the action, but I think I would prefer to be slightly a distance away. Or a better hotel with more amenities. Silom Convent Garden Hotel - I actually read about this hotel in a report from Vinapu so decided to try. I ended up getting a very good deal on one of their bigger rooms whilst booking direct online, which the receptionist told me was an error on their side and I should not have gotten it for that price, but he had to honour it since I already paid for it. This place is closer to Chong Nonsi but still in walking distance to all the fun places. The place is quite dated and falling apart slightly but is still fine, and what I especially liked about my particular room type is that it had a washing machine, which was very handy. I probably wouldn't stay there again, but it was good to try somewhere on the other side. It is also right next door to Sauna Mania, and a short distance to Arena for those who are interested. Massage - Senso - I visited here hoping to see the guy that I met in January who I had an excellent time with, but he was not to be found and the manager hadn't heard from him either (I ended up messaging him later on Line and he confirmed he wasn't working there anymore and told me where he was now working). Anyhow, as I entered, another guy entered at the same time as me, however he left shortly afterwards. Perhaps he wasn't keen on the lineup? or the price? The pricing structure is new, compared to how it was previously - a 90 minute massage will cost 3300 THB and is an all-in price that includes both the massage and the tip. I forget how much the 60 minute option cost. I asked the manager to tell me who can do both top and bottom (as I like to flip-flop) and he pointed out who was able. The line up was mostly hunks, but there was this one twink guy that I had my eye on so I ended up choosing him. I had only been to Senso twice before, once in January as already mentioned, and once last year, and I briefly wondered if the guy I chose was the same guy as last year but I couldn't quite remember, and for some reason I remember him being taller. Anyhow, we went upstairs where I firstly had a shower and he then had a shower, and started with the massage which tbh wasn't super sensual but it was okay, and then the afters started which was pretty satisfying. We flip-flopped a few times which was lots of fun and afterwards we had a shower together where he helped me wash the massage oil off. It was at this point that I saw his tattoo of his name that I put 2 and 2 together and it was the guy that I had last year. I didn't recognise him, but in all fairness, he didn't recognise me either lol. We later confirmed when I tried to add him as a friend on Line, he was already my friend. Day 5 In the morning unpleasant surprise – no water in the room. Rest of afternoon and early evening I spent in the room catching with forum , Line and e-mails. E-miel returned from his China trip so we agreed to meet in soi 4 at 9.15 pm . We never meet before. Waiting for him in mouth of soi 4 I was accosted by Vietnamese looking freelancer, handsome face but very skinny. Fortunately as soon as I told him I’m waiting for my boyfriend gentleman beaming smile in my direction showed up and it was emiel indeed. Nice conversation over beer in Banana outside. I was shocked to discover that he never went to Moonlight but somehow we decided to check Jupiter instead. It was Wednesday and at 10 pm Jupiter was surprisingly empty . We got front row seats , usually reserved for visiting big tippers with pussies but for lack of those we got invited to seat there. Moment of arrival was great as first walkabout started soon. I tipped again very hunky performer recommended to me by one of our member and again , the same like few days ago, no acknowledging smile when he was across the scene on other side. I know I should pursue him because of his looks but other half of me says , give yourself a break and save your money. Issue to be solved next trip I guess. Then one of performers looked familiar. I was pretty sure I saw him among crew at Sabaidee Spa in Dec 2021, then one of my friends engaged him and got his Line which he shared with me and we even talk about meeting but couldn’t find agreeable time. Good sign was , he was clearly happy and reason was explained by mamas an- it was his 1st day in the bar today. Then I pulled my phone , showed him profile in question and yes, he confirmed it’s his. Finally , after 4 years I had chance to hug such dreamed about hunk. Emile in meantime did not waste time and invited one of boys for a drink as well. It needs to be said that at that time, post show , mood in the bar improved , sober , disinterested looks are gone and boys are behaving normally, friendly smiles , clicking glasses etc. Neither emiel nor myself did not waste time, I asked my guy about going with me , he sounded enthusiastic , no wonder , first day and off already, I’d be too. Quoted me hair rising price but still much less than I expected to hear so I agreed as it would be stupid to let such a chance to pass by over 1 or 2 thousands. Great body, great personality, good English, active and patient, I’d even say caring , whatever good can be said about ones off – he ticked all boxes. Even when we waked up and it was 11 am he did not make any move indicating he is in rush to leave like he knew what is my pet peeve. I expected many things in life – to win lottery big , to become famous politician, scientist , movie star, pope and even best street cleaner in whole Bangkok but I never thought I will live long enough to say that my best off of the whole trip will be from Jupiter. It was never even close possibility but here I am !

Day 2 In the morning breakfast in Foodland together, greeted by knowing smiles of staff there but those were nice , not contemptuous knowing smiles. In the early afternoon jet lag made me collapsing on the bed for few hours and when I woke up I decided to check GLAM, new shiny and upscale massage place near Suthisan MRT station. Bkkmfj visited that place and started thread about it in August . Guy on reception recognized me from my visits to Jey Spa where he worked and told me those two are closely related , sharing most boys because one of co-owners co-owns Jey as well. Dinner at G’Bangkok , then meeting with Keithambrose in his hotel and we went to new bar Dragon and Koi across from Foodland. Keith made already relation from our time there in bar’s thread. We were surprised that there boys started dancing on the bar bare chested. Since we both liked the same guy we invited him for a drink later on but there was not much of conversation since his English was of Google Translate variety. We did not stay long there as Keith was to leave next morning. On top of Patpong two we parted ways with me going to my most favorite bar – Moonlight. Cabal of barkers outside greeted me enthusiastically and so did few mamasans not to mention several smiles from boys on the stage. Some veterans of previous offs , others remembering me from previous visits , they were few who should recognize me but pretended not to. Fine with me. My favorite Y was there and I wasted no time to call him over for drink. Soon we settled on short time as he is not doing long times ever since he got a girl. Few trips ago A, muscular semi god from there noticed that I look at Y admirably suggested I off both of them. Dinner at Happy Beer garden , Joy there repeated her mantra that we are the same ‘ you like boys and I like boys” and then stroll to the hotel. As much as it was enjoyable there were some awkwardness tonight as they are close friends and even if none of them was shy I sensed that they are not hat comfortable so I threaded carefully and it worked. It can be said I did not enjoy them together but enjoyed to a greatest degree each of them separately. Fact that Y is very familiar around me cured other guy initial apprehensiveness. Another great night. At 2 they left and I slept exhausted and jet lagged till 11.20 am of day 3 without any interruption.

Yes I do - already since 2 years and 2 months I get up at the crack of dawn and go to the gym - my training starts at 7:50am - I finish the gym between 9:55am and 10:10am. Then I go eat breakfast at Tinnies (the Australian place with the BEST bacon in all of Pattaya - in my opinion). Then depending on the day, I grab a Bolt from Jomtien into almost North Pattaya where I go for my ED Shockwave treatment at 11:30am and that lasts for around 35 to 40 minutes - then I take a motorbike taxi to the TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) clinic - near Boyztown. That lasts for about 10 to 15 minutes if it is not a day when they need to draw blood for the monthly stats. Then the baht bus back to Jomtien, run local errands - like to FoodMart and/or 7-Eleven or to go see my viagra/cialis lady to stock up the supply. Then home for a 2 hour nap. Then around 5pm or 6pm one of my 4 hands massage coordinators brings himself and another guy to massage me and have some fun. Then clean up, myself, the bed, shower area and if one of them wants to go eat we usually go outside of the Jomtien Complex to grab a bite - it is usually Thai food. Then head into the Jomtien Complex for a drink and by 9pm or 10pm I am craving my bed to catch up on some internet and/or watch some YouTube and then fall asleep. Rinse and repeat and before you know it the week has finished. On non gym days (there are 3) then my schedule is more free and I walk on the beach, or go to Koh Larn, or go into Central Pattaya to one of the malls, go see a movie - catch up with friends, etcetra You don't need to cross that busy road (Thappraya) - you can live in one of the many beach condos that are all within walking distance of the Jomtien Supertown Complex and the gay Dongtan beach. They are: View Talay 7 Jomtien Complex Condotel Grand Condotel View Talay 5 (there are 2) Jomtien Plaza Condotel Of course you will pay more because the above condos are on or very near to the beach. On the other side of the busy Thappraya road - there is View Talay 2 (2 buildings) and also View Talay 1 (2 buildings) that are much cheaper than the above listed on-the-beach condo list. Yes - easily. Just realize to put into your budget 2 important factors: Boy tax - everytime you bring one to your room or do them in a massage and/or short time room there is a fee - these can become very expensive - so make sure that you have a way to finance all of this or you might need to join the PFC, NEW Thai government taxation (effective from 01-Jan-2024) on money that you bring into Thailand (i.e., remittances) as Assessable Income --> my Boy tax is already too high so when the government decided to get greedy - as I am already spending a considerable amount of my discretionary income in the local Thai economy - I decided that from 2025 forward I will only live in Thailand for less than 180 days for each alternating year - thus giving the money that I would have spent in Thailand to other nearby countries (The Philippines and Vietnam). I do not agree with this statement. It is easier to make expat friends with these 2 types of expats: those here on vacation, those who live here seasonally. I found that the expats that live here full time are not easy to make friends with and in fact I have given up on this endeavor - and I instead concentrate making Thai friends. Even my 1 local expat friend, JD100, is leaving Thailand due to this difficulty to make friends with the full time expats that live here. There seems to be some kind of acid in the local water - as I cannot explain it but better to leave the hornets nest alone. Yes I agree for 2 primary reasons: 1.) it can become too expensive, 2.) if you go into the Jomtien Complex too often the excitement wears off when the emphasis of 98% of the bar owners is that you as the farang = "farang sit and farang drink" - as I do not like to sit in a chair all night and I do not like to drink it becomes VERY lethargic and boring and unhealthy. There is no excitement and there is no decent place where you can stand up and expend some energy - like a great place to dance with good music. So, one of the nighttime alternatives can be to walk over to the gay volleyball on Dongtan beach near the Pattaya waterpark and Sea Rescue. When I do it is a fun night because although I cannot play (I am not good enough) I can jump up and down and cheerlead the guys on and run after the stray balls to avoid that they get wet in the shoreline waves. It is a social event where you walk around and not only sit on your ass all night - so it is not lethargic as a night out in the Jomtien Complex can be. This is incorrect. All of the View Talays were built before this current fad to copy HongKong style small cramped dwellings - so I find the View Talays to be rather large. Mine is 98 sqm with 2 sea facing balconies - more than enough for 1 person. I have looked at many of the newer constructed beach condos and they are mostly all very small and VERY expensive. My goal is to be in walking distance of the Jomtien Complex - so most of the newer constructed cramped buildings are too far away and would require that you either buy a motorbike and have to worry about having an accident or create a BIG dependency on BOLT for transportation purposes.

Unfortunately on Thursday night I wasn’t feeling well so I stayed in bed all night which continued onto all of Friday. It was mostly my allergies and unfortunately i didn’t bring any allergy meds, first gen antihistamines make me drowsy but rarely work so I tried some tiffy which made me sleep. I looked up online if they had mine prescription antihistamine and they did under a different name so on Saturday morning I went off to retrieve which has helped me recover. on Saturday I went down to the bars again, I was early so I walked around a bit. I remembered banana room started their show early so I headed over, when I entered it was packed, nearly every seat filled, I sat in the back last row to the left of the stage, I watched the show a few of the drag queens did quite well and I tipped, some of them tried to lip sync to English songs but it was obvious they didn’t know the words and only trying to voice the syllables, I think it would look more impressive if they lip synced to a thai song as some of the other performers did. Once again we had the nude shower show and the cock parade. I like this bar as overall seems to be less pressure, you are allowed to take a look in first to decide if you want to go in, mamasan comes around and asked if anyone you like but if you simply say “I’m still looking” they don’t push further. The show was over and unfortunately the boy I had my eye on went to join someone who had bought a bottle, another boy I had my eye on joined a couple who was preparing to off two boys, what a fun night for them, on stage only 8 boys remained, compared to other clubs it seems like banana room has the least guys on stage. Now I didn’t want to pick someone who wasn’t interested in me, atleast faking interest. On stage only one boy waved at me and showed interest, the papasan came around and I asked to buy this boy a drink, he called him down and he joined me, where he cuddled up with me very fast, he asked me all the standard questions and then I asked his position and he said “anything you like” however for me I want someone who can preform so I asked what you like more, and he told me, his English wasn’t the greatest so I asked where he was from to ensure I was translating to the correct language and we discussed fees. I agreed and since the show was over asked if he wanted to go now or stay and watch next show, he said he would get dressed, I called papasan over to pay fees. Which was nice made everything seem less transactional. We showered discussed bangkok a little bit and off he went. on Sunday I wanted to visit the chatuchak market, this is a huge market. I specifically went to buy some souvenirs and take in the experience, I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of the prices cheaper than malls such as platinum. I took the mrt back through to lumphini park and walked through as this was something I had not done yet. After I took a grab back to my hotel. I relaxed for a bit and then decided I was just gonna pack tonight and stay in and relax. Even tho it’s my last night in bangkok I did need a rest I had a great time and I will definitely be back, likely the same time as this year. Most thunderstorms were overnight with only a couple in the venting early morning, it did not last long. I will likely visit some other areas such as pattaya next time. Hiring Mac at the beginning of the trip was great as he showed me how transit works, showed me the area around my hotel to eat, get laundry done, and explained things to look out for. I would definitely recommend hiring guide for first timers to learn the ins and outs, if not atleast learn how to use transit. Bangkok traffic is no joke, 3km turns into an hour long trek and the skytrain can save you so much time. my hotel furama was great. I stayed in an executive suite so I cannot speak to the other floors. I only ate breakfast once but it had everything you can expect from a western breakfast plus other cultures as well. The executive club is nice to unwind and have a drink. They provide snacks all day and some lights meals in the evening, the pool area has fake grass around the area now, pool water appeared to be tested everyday and was comfortable temperature, the city looks great at night from the rooftop pool area. maid service was amazing. She did not speak English but she didn’t get bothered when I fumbled a bit with google translate to request extra towels. She always ensured I had plenty of bottled water (sometimes I had 4 in the fridge and 6 on the counter) even when I got up late or left and came back she still did the room as late as 5 pm! Amazing service, I’m sure it helped I tipped everyday but it’s not much by western standards and the service she provided made my experience a lot more comfortable, the front desk staff and door men were friendly, never judging when bringing people back, even when I brought two. the only downside is the keys, they reuse hotel key cards so over time they wear out, so simply placing them in contact with your cellphone can erase the data causing the key not to work in the door, they did give me three keys, one for the electricity. And two for me. So I kept extra key in my wallet just in case. tomorrow I leave in the afternoon, it was suggested I simply use grab. So hopefully they won’t be mad that I have 1 large suitcase 1 carryon and my backpack. special thanks to everyone on this forum who posted. CEBU Trip Report – Part Ia (28 & 29 December 2024) This is my active ongoing trip report for Cebu City in the Philippines. I am in the Philippines for 62 days as part of my tax minimization plan, as discussed in this previous post: https://www.gayguides.com/topic/61065-bangkok-trip-report-august-2024/page/5/#comment-419422 The other objective is to see if I can find a retiree place that is similar to what I have back in Jomtien Thailand, in the Philippines. Consequently, I will search for hirise condos that are on or near the beach with balconies with sea views – as is commonly found in Jomtien. This will prove to be a difficult task as discussed further on in this trip report. 28 December 2024, in the afternoon, I leave Jomtien in the late afternoon for the Amari hotel via a new car service that Youtube blogger “Pete on Retreat”, my friend’s Thai girlfriend started, Koi Taxi, who drove me to the Amari hotel at Don Muang airport. My Thai boyfriend was with me to say goodbye and many tears were shed as the car service pulled away. Fee was 1,800 baht. My flight on 29 December was at 6:30 am, so I wanted to already be at the airport when I woke up at 3:30am the following day. I chose this Amari hotel because it is physically connected with a pedestrian bridge that crosses the busy Don Muang Toll Way and puts you directly into the international departure area. I did a test run (walk) before going to sleep – which allowed me to get a good night’s sleep for the journey to an unknown country for me. The Amari is not cheap but convenient, I paid 4,237.20 baht for 1 night. I chose the Cebu Pacific 6:35am flight, as it is a non-stop direct flight from Bangkok into Cebu (Mactan airport). This is the only direct flight that I could find and only occurs 1 time per day at this very inconvenient departure hour. The flight is only 4 hours with a 1 hour time zone change – with the Philippines being 1 hour earlier than Thailand. Cost was around € 500 euro, as I wanted a flexible ticket with enough luggage allowance for a 62 day trip. Flight was great and non-eventful arriving slightly ahead of schedule. I collected my luggage and then headed towards the immigration control. As I had already registered for my eTravel QR code (and printed it) back in Jomtien I was able to bypass the chaos that those passengers who had not yet done so had to do on their mobile phones. I presented myself at the immigration desk and the lady was somewhat annoyed with me. She said, Sir, you cannot stay for 62 days without a proper advance reserved visa. I apologized and I explained to her that I was not aware of this requirement. She then wanted to know my purpose for my visit and then agreed to give me the non-Visa maximum of 30 days, which she then stamped into my passport. She told me that around day 29, I should go to the immigration office in Cebu City and ask for another 29 days ( this will give me 59 days in total – so I am not sure what I will need to do for the final 3 days ? ). Then I went to collect my luggage and went to eat, as I needed to kill time, as my arrival time was way too early – as my AirBnB check-in time was for 2pm. So, I ate slowly in some random Filipino restaurant and had my first Filipino meal – lots of rice, some weird pork things with some vegetables. It was so-so and I was not impressed. Important notation: Back in Jomtien, I had already purchased an eSim with my preferred provider = , for which I paid $32 USD for 20GB of data for a 30 day validity. I have used them previously in Vietnam and I was happy with the service. I activated my pre-purchased eSim while I was waiting for my luggage to arrive. This allowed me to reserve a car and/or taxi via the app. You need to remember that the eSim offered by Airolo does not include a local phone number, so you should preload the apps that you might want to use in the Philippines, PRIOR to arriving into the country, as they often require that you have a local phone number for SIM verification. I found this out the hard way on 20 Jan 2025, when I tried to order a motorbike taxi via the Grab app – when Grab told me that I instead needed to install the Move It app , which allows you to order motorbike taxis. Unfortunately, the local Philippine version of Grab does not include the Move It capabilities yet – even though Grab has bought Move It back in August 2022. The only way that I can install the Move It app is if I agree to buy a physical local SIM card that would assign me a Philippine phone number. Note that to find your pre-ordered Grab car/taxi it is not very clear where to go. You should exit the Mactan airport international arrivals section and walk to the Domestic arrivals section and then walk past that building following the walkway towards the parking lots Arrival Bay C-1-C4 and then wait there for your car there. My Grab fee was 572 pesos (~$9.78 USD), not bad for the 45 minute ride from Mactan island into Cebu City. Below map displays the Airport and then my first AirBnB. It is important to note that I have strategically decided to live in 3 different neighborhoods in the Cebu City metro area as follows: 2 are within Cebu City: first in what is known as the CBP = Cebu Business Park, second in what is known as the Cebu IT Park. I am considering the above 2 places as my comparator to living within the city limits of Pattaya city from the point of view as an elderly retiree. 1 in Newtown on Mactan island – as my comparator to living in Jomtien from the point of view as an elderly retiree. As of the writing of this report, I have completed the first condo living in CBP, and now I am in day 5 of my second AirBnB condo living in the CEBU IT Park. I arrived at the Cityscape Grand Tower and easily checked in with the ground floor security team into my “TINY” AirBnB on the 32nd floor (there are 34 floors in total). The AirBnB owner gave me a digital entry on-the-condo-door keypad code. After opening the door digitally, I was able to then fetch a physical electronic key from the table. The condo was truly very small (it looked bigger on the AirBnB site – pics are below) but nicely done and had the prerequisite mini-balcony that overlooked the parts of Cebu city that are towards the sea waterway that separates Cebu City from Mactan island. From the 32nd floor balcony it is possible to see the sea that is even beyond Mactan island as well as the planes landing and taking off at the Mactan airport. The views were stunning. Consequently, to get a condo room with an external balcony was a true challenge. I paid € 700 euros for 20 nights, at a rate of € 35 euros per night – not bad in my opinion to be located just 2 blocks outside of the CBP – Ayala mall + Avida condo residences complex. My neighborhood was quite safe, where the only annoyance was the poverty that is on the edges of CBP – as my condo was 2 blocks outside, so I had to often encounter the poor begging families who send their children to play the sympathy card day after day. Security is a serious activity both at the Cityscape Grand Tower as well as in the entire multiple block enclave of CBP – as it is well patrolled by private security details who are armed – which scares any potential trouble away. I walked over to the nearby CBP Ayala mall, which is gigantic with 250,000 m2, whereas, Central Festival back in Pattaya has 200,000 m2. I ate an early dinner and I went over to the giant 7 floor Metro store to buy towels to put down on my AirBnB condo mattress – to avoid getting in trouble with the owner (I am referring to a previous incident when massage oil contaminated the AirBnB mattress). Exhausted from waking up at the crack of dawn, flying, checking in, buying sundries for the fridge it was time for a well deserved in-room massage. I fired up the apps, as follows: Grindr – has the most number of users, Heesay – second highest, Planet Romeo – third highest, Blowers – fourth highest, Hornet – in last place – very little activity – unlike back in Pattaya where it is often the number one app with the most available number of users. After chatting with many of the locals on Twitter (X) and in the above apps, I was told that there are also other modalities to meet the local guys, which are: X – just announce your availability and people will DM you. You need to be cognizant of the hash tags; #altercebu, #cebualter, #saunacebu, hire, masahista, #hilot. Or, you can use the above tags / search words and search for your type of desired situation. Tinder – I have no experience with Tinder. Bumble – again, I have no experience with Bumble. Facebook groups – I performed a search for CEBU Gay FB messenger and Google returned many query hits. As I don’t have FB, I could not utilize any of these. As soon as I entered into PlanetRomeo, a sexy manly masseur with a profile name like, “MasseurJerome” wrote to me and I invited him to my condo. This being the Philippines, all visitors need to be registered with the downstairs condo security team. I employed his services for 90 minutes for a fee of 3.000 pesos (~ $51 USD). I found out later that this was on the high side for Cebu – but I was happy with his massage and the fun afters – as he was able to edge me very well. Here in the Philippines the concepts of SIDE and EDGING are very well diffused within the various apps and English being one of their primary local languages (Tagalog, Visayan (Cebuano), and English). I found that when they speak Cebuano, there are many common words with Spanish. Day 1 (29 December 2024) concluded.

First of all: Thanks to veteran members here @vinapu, @macaroni21, @bkkmfj2648, @reader that inspire this trip to begin with. This is the first Bangkok gay-oriented trip for me ever. I am coming back in June 2025 so will save some of the bars / onsens experience to that part of the trip. This trip is mostly focused towards gay massage experience - variety of it. I am venturing out to off beaten paths shops - reviewed / non-reviewed shops. [B]First, some burning Q&A about massage shops in Bangkok that I answered during my trip[/B] Q: How does one broadly classify gay massage experience in Bangkok? A: All stores involve to some degree of sexual activities. The massage shops can be broadly classified as follow: Pricing (Low to High), and Activities included (Soft only, Soft but hard could be included, or Mandated Hard) Q: About pricing. Why would anyone go to high end stores (1500B+) if one can get the same pleasure from stores charging fraction of the price? A: Facilities at higher end shop feels a lot more comfortable in terms of cleanliness, private bathroom - even a bathtub with full service included. However, what is often not talked about here is the quality of the boys. Boys at lower end shop is doing it for the money at whatever bare minimum. I noticed that they are more mechanical (you can see in my review below). Higher end shop boys seems to be enjoying their job because of their pay - much more likely to go above and beyond what is required. They are less subject to revolving doors phenomena that the shop just hire whoever is available. Guys at higher end shop, especially in non-freelance model, takes pride on what they do and bank of repeat business. Q: About activities. Why would anyone go to soft shop / hard optional shop if one can go to shops where hard activity is guaranteed? A: This is the nuanced that I also had to appreciate. Hard shops which tend to have mandated higher tips - will deliver exactly that. A hard activity (either T/B). I found that in these shops, by nature, the service do feel more mechanical. The boys already have earned his/her tips as long as he does the activity. In a softer shop, the boys exercise discretion on what activitiy to deliver to earn his tips. I found that kissing/affection factor is higher in softer shop versus hard oriented shops. I guess you cannot win them all! Q: What is the best predictor whether the masseure will kiss ? A: Their sexual orientation is likely the best predictor. Without fail, all the masseur who is gay will kiss a lot more willingly. A top / straight masseur will not kiss. How do you find out their sexual orientation then? The massage review group on X disclose their orientation or sometimes the shop does too, and you may ask the shop directly when booking. Q: Negotiation during soft shop session A: This is to be expected when stated minimum tips is 200B or some other nominal amount. The boys can/do exercise discretion and will offer extra service. If the boy does not speak English at all, it is possible to use the translate app and be clear on what you are asking in the beginning (B2B, handjob, etc). Hi everyone, I recently arrived in Bangkok and thought I would update with what's been going with me so far. The day of my arrival happened to coincide with the Crete Party (which is mentioned in a post in the 'Gay Bangkok' section, thanks to @bkkmfj2648) and seeing it was taking place in the hotel that I was staying at, I thought I would give it a go, despite the hefty foreigner price tag (5500 as opposed to 4900 for locals - although not too much of a difference) and I was in contact with @jason1975 to go together. The arrival time of my flight and the time that registration started was already a little bit tight for timing, but I would be able to make it work. Except that my departing flight was now scheduled to leave an hour late. Okay, so I resigned that I was going to be late. I contacted the organisers and they said this is okay. Anyhow, flight on Thai Airways Royal Silk class was smooth and was fed quite a lot of food, landed at 16:15, walking to immigration took a little while but immigration didn't take too long. I think I was eligible for fast track but I didn't worry about it. Luggage came out as soon as I got to the belt (usually I travel light but I thought I would take a suitcase with me this time as I am here for a while), raced down to the basement floor to exchange some cash as I only had 500B to my name, and off I went onto the ARL then switched to the MRT at Makkasan/Petchaburi all the way to Silom. Seeing it was a Saturday night I wasn't expecting the trains to be so full. Yes I could have gotten a taxi but I don't generally take taxis unless I really really have to. Anyhow, reached Crowne Plaza around 18:15, unpacked a little and changed my shirt (didn't even have time to have a shower, yes gross), and raced downstairs to the Crete Party to meet @jason1975 and @Raposa - first time meeting both and really nice people. I was only an hour and a half late and I didn't miss too much. I won't go into much detail about this part as Jason has already mentioned it in great detail in his trip report, but all in all it was a really nice way to spend my first night back in Bangkok. I had not been here since January of this year. After the party we went to Jupiter, and whilst not the most favourite of places, the guys are amazingly attractive and some of the shows were quite good. I did have my eye one of the guys, but I was already super exhausted and just really wanted to get back to the hotel and have a shower and catch up on some sleep. I said my goodbyes at around midnight and that was it for the night. I'd like to also mention that this trip that I'm currently taking is the longest one that I've ever taken - I'll be here for 2 months so I'm just going to take it easy and not be too rushed, and not centre my holiday so much around boys (although there will be quite a number I would like to meet). I'm staying in a number of hotels in Bangkok and also visiting common touristy places such as Pattaya/Jomtien, Phuket, Koh Samui as well as Khao Lak, Koh Yao Yai and Koh Tao (thanks to @bkkmfj2648 suggestion in another thread). The following day I had a 2 hour massage at Prime (1 hour Thai/1 hour oil) which was amazing and later on in the evening I met Jason and again other forum member for a drink at Hotmale beer bar which was fun and then over to Dreamboy where we had a booth seat near the front which is where I never sit (I prefer to sit right up the back) but since I am with company, it was good to sit up the front. Upon entering, my favourite boy waved at me and I called him down and we had a nice catch up, and he was happy to see me and happy to be offed that night. The bar was not very full for a Saturday night, but I guess high season is coming very shortly. We watched the shows some of which were new and some recycled but it was good to watch something that I would not be able to in my own country. It was good to gossip with Jason during the show. Boy came back with me for short time and then went to the gym afterwards. The next day I had another appointment at Prime, 0.5 hour scrub (which he got into every nook and cranny) and 1.5 hour oil which was actually quite sensual and good coverage, with no modesty draping. After lunch I went back to rest at the hotel and was planning to go to Karaoke with Jason and his boys, but I ended up having some stomach troubles so I thought it would be best to stay in, much to my dismay. Luckily it was short lived. For now, I've now moved into another area of Bangkok, away from Silom, as I've just had some minor surgery so I will probably not be too active in the next week or so whilst I recover, but I am here for a while so plenty of time for more shenanigans. There is just so much to do, and I am just so happy to be back in my happy place!

Gulf of Thailand 'stint' - part 2 Leaving Samui was a pleasant experience - the airport is all (mostly) open-air and is quite nice. The flight prices on Bangkok Airways are quite high for domestic flights, but I understand that because Bangkok Airways owns the airport, they can do so. There are cheaper options which involve flying to Surat Thani (or others) but it is more time intensive. However, my experience on Bangkok Airways was quite pleasant. A meal was served even though the flight was relatively short. Arriving back at Suvarnabhumi, I had pre-booked a bus from Bell Travel Service (325 thb) which took me to North Pattaya Bus Station, and then to my hotel in a minibus. The big bus was comfortable with a 1-2 seat configuration. Jomtien I've been here a couple of times in the past and tbh never really had an amazing time but I was determined to make it work. And it did lol. Zing Resort and Spa - I've stayed here before and didn't think much of it, but I decided to try again and it was actually quite pleasant. The room and bathroom were quite roomy, there was a small balcony and the price was very cheap. Actually the cheapest of all the hotels I've stayed on my trip. Bars - In the past, the host bars in the complex usually intimidated me, however this time I made it work. I just strolled slowly down the main street and checked out the guys to see who was my type. Shortly, I found a guy that fits my general 'type' (I have lots of types) at Question Mark bar, and sat down with him to have a drink. He is only 2 years younger than me and his English skills were excellent and conversing was easy. I forget sometimes how cheap Pattaya/Jomtien can be - my drink, his drink and off fee only added up to 580 thb. He took me to M2M bar afterwards where we watched the show which consisted of ladyboy lip-syncing backed up by cute dancers. Back at the hotel he told me he could 'do everything' and he certainly did. Subsequently, I visited his bar the following night as well as taking him to the beach the day after. I'm pleased that the stars aligned that night and I was able to find a connection with someone (who now is in regular contact with me). Massage - I frequented Burirom on this trip. The first time, I received a foot massage from a cute guy and whilst receiving said foot massage, there was another guy who was totally my type working on another customer in the chair next to mine. I decided to test my luck the next day and again the stars aligned and the other guy ended up giving me a foot massage. During, there was a lot of eye contact as well as cheeky smiles exchanged. Later I found him on Hornet and scheduled a Thai massage for the next day. I knew there was a high probability of extras, but I decided to test the waters anyway and not wear any underwear underneath the pyjamas which are to be worn during a Thai massage. I could tell he was well-trained as he gave me a proper massage and we did end up having some light fun and he is quite sweet. Minimal English but he invited me to go to the temple later on. Beach - I went to Dongtan beach a couple of times. I could find 2 gay concessions no. 20 and no. 28 - marked by rainbow flags. I went to no. 20 first (with my friend from the bar) and had a relaxing time. Some good looking staff members there and even better when they took off their shirts. So easy to order food, drinks and whatever. A few days later I went to no. 28 and if the guys at no. 20 were good, the guys at no. 28 were even better. I spoke to a couple of guys that work there and they are from Myanmar, and there was one that was absolutely stunning. Just note that all the beach concessions are closed on Wednesdays - I did know this a long time ago, but I forgot and when I turned up on a Wednesday, I just had to sit in the sand lol. Pattaya After a few days in Jomtien I stayed a few days in Pattaya. I've been here before and the vibe here is different from Jomtien - Jomtien is definitely more relaxed. Hotel - I stayed at The Classroom, which was mentioned in one of Vinapu's trip reports some time ago. The hotel is mostly geared towards the straights, but they are very welcoming of the gay clientele (and it is situated very close to the gay venues). The rooms are nicely sized (bathroom a little small though), and quite simple but it does the job. There is also a discreet side door to enter that bypasses everything. The cost was reasonable and if you book direct, you get 100 thb credit for food at the hotel each day. I recommend the pizzas here - they are thin crust and delicious. The website was also very clear, and drinks are cheap (I paid 85 thb for a gin and tonic which I think is the cheapest I've ever paid. I am so used to paying 500 thb at the gogo bars in Bangkok lol). The ladies at the bar downstairs were also friendly and I chatted with them from time to time. Bars - X-boys didn't have the greatest quality of boys, but the show was creative, sexy and at times, explicit. There were some quite large (non-condomed) appendages on display. There is a show at 22:00 and 23:00. Across the soi in Dreamboys, the quality was much better, however there was no show. I did end up taking a guy off, was from Myanmar and spoke minimal English but he was totally my type. He was really sweet and excellent in bed. He did end up inviting me out drinking with his friends (in some other part of Pattaya) but I had to decline. I also went to A-Bomb which is in the same building as The Classroom. Very low in customer numbers, boy numbers (there were only 2 available), however the show still went on and there were some very nice appendages on display. Most of the show boys left afterwards though. Massage - last year I went to Paradise massage (which is just a few doors down from The Classroom), and had a particularly excellent time with a guy who did everything and I was hoping for a repeat, except he had gone home. There were a few other guys to choose from and I chose a nice looking Cambodian boy. He was pleasant, but the massage was very rough, his hands moved too fast and it was just all a bit haphazard. Afters were had, he came, I came, kinda satisfying but definitely no repeat there. So all in all, I had a pretty good time here and I look forward to returning at some stage, whenever that may be. I'm back in Bangkok now for the final part of my trip.

TRIP REPORT DAY 1 Finally... Today in arrived in Bangkok. It was the first time my flight was at a gate at the remote airport terminal. So I had to take the train to the main terminal. As we all know: quite some walking required at BKK to finally get to passport control. I didn't bother to look for a priority lane for business class passengers as many desks in the "normal" area were open with just two or three people in front of each desk. So entering the kingdom went very smoothly. No landing card anymore to fill in. Just give them your passport and boarding card. While waiting for my baggage I took enough bahts from the atm to cover a few days and bought a Thai simcard. I went to the public taxi bays. No cues. And before I knew it I was in the taxi on my way to Silom. I arrived at my hotel around 2pm. Room in Ibis Styles Silom was already available. Check in could be a bit more time efficient in this hotel. I was tired after my long flights. So I decided to have a nap after I first stocked up in the 7eleven around the corner. Couldn't resist to open Grindr. My non-representative research conslusion: many freelancers on Grindr ask 3000baht for st but almost all of them are willing to come visit you in your hotel room for 2000. Not much negotiation skills needed for them to drop the price. FRESHBOYS After a good sleep it was time to go out for my first night in Bangkok since more than a year. Excited to see what has changed and what has stayed the same. After a quick Thai bite at Pride in soi4 I walked to Patpong soi 2. Last times I was in Bangkok I had good experiences in Freshboys (my taste of boys plus nice show, the ladyboy they had was good and even had a fire act) so I decided that was going to be my first stop of the night. Convenient sign outside with showtimes. I watched the first show full, and part of the second show. The timings were correct, but the kind of acts the perform is not completely as how they advertise it on the board outside. The ladyboy performing tonight was not the same as before, was oké but not so good. Rest of show was what you expect as a veteran and can be a bit boring when you've seen all many times before. Around 25 boys on rotation. Bare chested, only wearing white sportshorts. Mix between skinnier twins to guys with abs and light muscled bodies. The last categorie is the kind of guys I like. Unfortunately most of this type of boys in the bars are top, while I'm looking for bottoms. I remembered they always had a midnight show so I planned to go there to check it out. But... I didn't even get inside as the friendly guys outside told me show was already over. Only at 22h45 the have a show apparently now. Maybe this is different in weekends, as it is Monday now with less customers. Have to get back to The One on an earlier evening. HOTMALE Back to Patpong soi 2 I went. Decided to check out Hotmale. They had some upgrades. New logo that is on some of the outside signs and even on the glassware inside. Also inside some small changes, mainly new led-lightning on the wall. The just-after-midnight-show was about to start according to the papasan. I double checked as I could only see 2 other customers inside. But the secured me the show was going to start anyway. The 22h30 show is more busy normally according to staff. Around 15 boys on rotation. Red long (!?) sporttrousers and while most of the boys where bare chested, some did wear a hotmale shirt. I directly spotted a familiar face between them. One of my offs the last time I was in Bangkok. He was smiling naughty at me. I instantly knew: this boy is coming home with me tonight. Nice 6 pack, cute smile. And I remember some good advise from this forum : always go for boys that make eye contact with you so they are "interested" and more likely to "give better quality of service". During the show no new customers arrived. So the boys ended up doing it for only me and 2 other customers. Felt a bit embarrassing actually. My boy was in the show. After a successful venture at Arena, I spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening recharging with a good snooze and a glass of wine. However, when the temptation to get out and about became unbearable, I marched towards Surawong for a foot massage and to indulge in my favorite sport—people-watching. Around half past nine, I made my way to Good Boy. Perfect timing, as a few customers were already inside, sparing me the awkwardness of having everyone on stage vying for my attention. Scanning the room, I noticed that both 7 and 42 were present tonight. Now, it was just a matter of making the right choice between the two. As soon as the Papasan saw me, he promptly sat next to me, and we engaged in our usual chitchat. Interestingly, this is the only bar where I’ve ever been asked if I’ve had dinner! While still wavering between 7 and 42, 7 caught my eye and grinned mischievously, making my heart flutter just enough to summon him to sit beside me. 7 is from Laos, and his English isn’t the best, considering he only started working in bars this past April. But there's something so engaging about his persona that the language barrier hardly mattered. Either that, or he’s so good-looking that I was just giddy having him next to me. As the show began, we continued our conversation using a translator app. Oddly, the app kept translating "Top" as "complainer," which we both found amusing. I shrugged it off, and we agreed to let him “complain” on me tonight—and maybe tomorrow morning too. After 7 went to get dressed, I watched the show, eagerly awaiting Mai's performance. He’s such a handsome lad, and I would’ve "offed" him if given the chance. Unfortunately, I was told he’s not offable, as his partner works at the bar manning the counter. After Mai's performance, 7 and I headed out to the street. I asked where he wanted to eat, and he gave the standard "up to you." We took a taxi back to the hotel, and once in the room, I handed him my phone and asked him to order food for both of us. We showered together, and just as we finished, our food arrived—perfect timing. After dinner, I handed him the TV remote, offering him the chance to watch something. We cuddled up for a good half-hour before he shyly suggested going to bed—a suggestion I didn’t resist. In bed, he turned out to be a surprisingly passionate kisser. He took his time before "complaining" on me, which I thoroughly enjoyed. After we cleaned up, we stayed up chatting, watching silly videos on his phone, laughing together, and looking at photos of his family. We fell asleep cuddling, with me wearing a huge grin. I had an unusual itinerary where I flew Air Asia to Bangkok from Kuala Lumpur. Air Asia uses Don Muang airport. I seldom have reason to go through Don Muang - must have been at least 10 - 12 years since I last did, coming in from Chiang Mai. At that time, there was no easy rail connection to get downtown from Don Muang. But now there is the Red Line connecting the airport to the spanking new Krungthep Apiwat central rail hub. I made a careful note of how I got from Don Muang to Sukhumvit-Asok (where my hotel was) by rail. Possibly this may be useful information for others. It took me 1 hr 15 minutes between exiting the Customs gate after landing and reaching Sukhumvit MRT station (Blue line). The same blue MRT line continues to Silom and Samyan MRT station. Just add a few minutes more. The first step is to get from the International terminal of Don Muang airport to Don Muang train station (run by the State Railway of Thailand SRT). It's a bit of a walk (15 minutes), but nearly all in airconditioned comfort. I had to go southwards from Terminal 1 (International) via the full length of Terminal 2 (domestic) till I reached the south end of Terminal 2. Then there is a bridge over the highway; the bridge connects to Don Muang train station. For an overview, here is a sketch map: First, walk to the south end of Terminal 1. There, near a money changer and a 7-eleven store, you'll see a sign saying "SRT Red Line". The route takes you past nice toilets. A good spot to get a leak before the long trip downtown. Every now and then, there's a sign, assuring you that you're going in the right direction. Then you enter Terminal 2 Keep walking, Look carefully, and there are signs indicating "Red Line". Finally, at the southernmost end of Terminal 2, it said to go up an escalator. At the top of the escalator, more convenience. There's a Magic Food Court. Finally, you turn right and get to a pedestrian bridge that crosses the highway. In fact, you can already see the elevated train station at the upper right corner of the window. At Don Muang train station, tickets to Krungthep Apiwat station (20 baht) can be bought either from machines or a manned counter. I had to struggle a bit with the machines. They just wouldn't accept my 20-baht notes (tried several times). I had to insert a 100-baht note, but then it gave me eight 10-baht coins in change. This is the platform level of Don Muang train station. Take care that you're on the right platform for the train going to Krungthep Apiwat. The station is not the final stop for the trains; they run north to Rangsit as well as south to Krungthep Apiwat and beyond. Take the south-bound. Inside of a carriage. Lots of room for luggage. I don't know if it can get crowded at other times, though. There seems to be a train every 15 minutes or so. On reaching Krungthep Apiwat after only 15-16 minutes, you can't miss the signs for the MRT blue line. You will need to exit the SRT fare gate, go through an underground tunnel to get to Bang Sue MRT station. Including buying an MRT ticket at Bang Sue, it took me about 8 minutes' walking. (the fare to Sukhumvit station was 41 baht). Then take care again to board at the correct platform. That they have mounted a big sign suggests that many people make mistakes. The blue line took 23 minutes to get from Bang Sue to Sukhumvit station. Total time = 1 hour, 15 minutes. Total cost = 20 baht + 41 baht = 61 baht. Precisely because my hotel was in the Sukhumvit area, notorious for choked traffic, I was glad I didn't have to rely on taxis. Taxis might also have cost me 7 - 8 times more, and I don't know how much in tolls might be involved. Day 4 HC left at 6 and I got some sleep. Past 8 I went for a breakfast to Ibis Styles, they have a deal , buffet breakfast for 250 and it’s extremely good value. After that short survey of Patpong market and back to hotel to pack up. Most of my stuff I’m leaving there as I will be returning to the same place . That part is usually easy for me as I’m used and well trained to travelling light. S showed at hotel on the dot, whole in smiles and we went to Don Muang by usual BTS+Mrt+ SRT red line way. All very smooth although they removed from his luggage some big bottle of body lotion but he kind of expected it. In order not to lead into temptation we were seating separately as one never knows where his hand may land in the plane full of people. Taxi for 180 to our hotel, The Space but south of city center but still walking distance there. We both are in Chiang Rai for the first time. After shower we went to the city , on our way had some local meal 200- for both and secured an adventure for tomorrow – for 1000 per person I bought trip to the Golden Triangle, whole day , visiting 7 places. Soon after dark we retired to hotel as I claimed I’m tired while in fact all I wanted was some intimacy with such a hunk. That turned out easy to have. I guess he felt bit indebted. Day 8 (5 January 2025). Slow day. I had my usual walk through the Ayala mall and surrounding neighborhoods. I note that the city is moving away from New Year celebration stuff to the upcoming 2025 SINOLOG festival, which will start on 18 & 19 January. Shops throughout the city are starting to sell SINULOG merchandise, There is a festive sense of happiness in the local people for the arrival of SINULOG. Today I learned that CEBU, is commonly referred to as the “Queen City of the South” – how apropos. Later in the evening, I chatted with a cute masculine guy, Mr. Jon from PlanetRomeo and he comes to my room for a good 2 hands massage + safe edging, oral, and edging fun. Day 8 (5 January 2025) concluded. Day 9 (6 January 2025). Day begins in a frustrating way when I returned to my room after my breakfast to find out that the digital electronic key entrance system to my room is dead. So, I contact my AirBnB owner about the problem and after 2 hours of waiting a technician arrives. The problem was that the battery within the electronic device went dead and consequently the lock device could not respond to my electronic key nor my keypad secret code. The technician had to remove a type of secret panel and then insert into a keyhole a type of Allen wrench key that allowed him to turn the tumbler with great force to allow us to enter the room. He swapped out the battery, sprayed some W-40 into the tumbler – to make it have less friction. He left me with this manual key in case it would happen again – but I am happy to report that from that point forward the electronic digital system worked perfectly. Can you imagine if I had a guy with me that I rented for 2 hours ? Would we do it in the hallway outside of my room? Later in the night, we finally go to visit 2 gay places with Mr. M. in the evening. Some are X rated responses, as the local Cebuanos talk about their prey that they picked up from CENSORED and what they did to their prey, or what the prey did to them. This is probably the most frequented gay bar in Cebu – as it is just off of the main road = F. Cabahug street (as shown in the below Google map) in an alcove that has many other open air bars there. Consequently, there is tons of space for the guys to congregate, drink, be social, and be crazy. Second stop is to one of the few male go-go bars here in Cebu. This place was a blast. As it was a Monday night, there were not many customers, so we got most of the attention. There is the very elegant ladyboy mamasan who came and sat with us to explain how everything works – which we learned that it is somewhat similar to how it works in Thailand: You can invite a gogo dancer down from the stage to sit with you with a 1 drink minimum, where his drink will always cost 600 pesos even if your beer costs 200 pesos. The gogo boy accumulates 1 point, at a value of 50 pesos for each drink that the customer buys for him. 300 pesos per person in your group is added to your bar tab as the entrance fee. Waiters are not allowed to drink with you – but we were eventually allowed to break this rule – when it became evident to me that Mr. M. was smitten with our assigned cute and fun waiter, All of the male staff that we saw up on the stage are straight. The mamasan explained to us that gays are not allowed to be hired as a gogo boy dancer. I inquired as to why and she said, management policy with no further explanation. Off fee to bring one of these gogo dancers with you was 5.000 pesos (~ $85.35 USD) payable to the bar PLUS the fee that the guy would want – based on what you ask him to do with you – sliding scale. No quotes were given by the mamasan, as she stated that the bar has no influence on what is negotiated between you and the “straight” gogo guy. So, the guys start doing their gogo dance routines (some in bikinis, boxers, and pant shorts). The astute mamasan is noticing that I am intently in awe of one of their dancers who is quite good in his black boxer shorts. She tells me that he is their newest dancer and has only been with them 1 month and he is from a nearby remote island. She calls him down to sit with us and he is VERY tense and heterosexual – almost trembling, but at the same time very masculine. I put my arms on his shoulders and start to caress him. But he needs to drink like three 600 peso drinks before he finally calms down. Then we start talking and he opens up to me, and by now I have my hands on his legs, which I am caressing. He is quite apprehensive, as all of his “straight” colleagues are watching him. My guy tells me that he will go back onto the stage to do a solo dance act. I ask, when? He says at 4:00am. It was only 2:30am and I was already very tired, so I told him that I would need to leave by 3am. He runs away to the DJs booth and then comes back so excited and says, that the management will rearrange the solo dance lineup so that he can dance for me within the next 15 minutes --> IF <-- I agree to pay 1.000 peso to change the dance lineup fee. Wow, this place really knows how to milk their customers. But I was really into this guy and already buzzing from the alcohol so I agree. Then the DJ announces him and out on the stage he is all alone dedicating his dance routine to me – it was great. So, I could not remain seated, I heard the voice of @vinapu, my Jedi Master, in my ears, and so I ran to him up on the stage and did the necessary = I planted a 1.000 peso blue note into his black boxer shorts. The small audience and ALL of his "straight" gogo colleagues erupted into applause and shouting – as I learned that my new friend was now officially initiated into the warm gogo boy family culture of the Club X – MenXiest Entertainment Bar. The mamasan made me understand that this passing of the torch into having his first customer was important for them to keep him – as it was already 1 month that they invested in him without any requests to sit with customers or offs. By now he was so estatic. I told him that he is already so sexy and an excellent dancer – but that he needs to buy a proper sexy bikini like the other more senior already successful gogo guys. I put another 1.000 pesos into his pants and told him this is for your bikini fund. We then asked for our bill and drum roll please – it came to around 11.000 pesos (~ $190 USD) = outch – but it was a GREAT night out to see and experience the Philippine version of a gogo bar and my first time to see my cute and adorable Mr. M. get up close and personal with our sexy waiter. They exchanged numbers. Unfortunately, I could not as I only have a numberless eSIM and I don’t have FB. It is ok, as I probably would have regretted taking my guy home with me since I have my boyfriend back in Jomtien. Some updates from recent times: I've been traveling a little, nothing super exciting so feel free to skip over. Khao Lak Khao Lak is about an hour's drive north of Phuket International Airport and it is quite spread out along the coast. I stayed in the Bang Niang area where there are of plenty of restaurants and bars, and there is a night market as well. I ended up booking an ocean-front villa in a small resort which the view was amazing. I did a cooking class at the resort which ended up just being a private class for myself and the guy took me to the market to buy some stuff before I did the class. It was pretty fun and they were impressed at my spring roll wrapping abilities, but that is because I've done it before lol. I didn't meet up with any guys here (the usual apps are active though, but not a whole lot of choice) and there is a gay bar nearby (Meeting Point Bar), but I did not patronise. The tourists here were predominantly caucasian and non-english speaking. I think this area is very popular with Germans as many of the signs around the resort were in German. Koh Yao Yai This island is about a 20 minute speed boat ride off the east coast of Phuket. I stayed at Santhiya Resort and it was absolutely massive - they have these songthaews that take you around the resort as not only is it big, but it has some really steep inclines/declines. I think I booked one of the average rooms but I was surprisingly upgraded to a pool villa which I had my own private pool, as well as a massive bedroom/sitting area and dining room. A little too much for just me, but I appreciated it. The view was also amazing. Because the resort is huge, I didn't bother leaving it and instead just did some of the activities that were provided - I did a yoga class and a Muay Thai class, but just mostly relaxed and swum in the pool for the time I was there. There are things you can do outside of the resort but I didn't bother. On the apps were mostly tourists and mostly not even nearby, so if you come here I would suggest to BYO. Other than that, everything was streamlined quite well and the hotel has their own pier and speed boats to shuttle you from the Phuket to the resort. Phuket A destination that I've been to a few times in the past but decided to revisit. Firstly I stayed in a beautiful resort in the Kamala area, nothing too exciting here, again I just chilled out and enjoyed some peace and quiet. Next I headed to Patong for a few nights. I stayed at the Royal Paradise hotel, in the centre of the action. I've heard they are not very guest friendly but it didn't bother me as I was just planning on going to the massage places. The hotel itself is okay, decent enough and nice views, but the bathroom could do with a little updating. They do provide you with a voucher for a free (non-alcoholic) drink though. In the massage scene there was one guy that I wanted to see (I've been seeing him since 2019), and 2 more that I've seen before and wouldn't mind seeing again. This is at 4 Massage. When I went there in the evening 'my guy' was not around, but they said he would be back in 5 minutes, which then changed into an hour and a half so I decided not to worry, as the other 2 guys that I've been with before were also not there. I have found that the guys seem more genuine and less 'cold' than some guys you may come across in Bangkok. But this is just a generalisation. I'm back in Bangkok for about a week before I go on another short trip outside of Bangkok. On another note, the SRT red line has a maximum fare of 20 THB and accepts credit cards at the gates, just like the MRT, however there are specific gates for credit card users. Day 4 Being right in the middle of Silom Plaza it would be shame not to utilize both Best and Arena massages. I had good sleep after HC left and barely made on time for hotel provided breakfast – the same like American in Foodland plus small tray of fruits. I discovered this forum when Tawan Bar closed and I was looking for info. I have since been lurking, but having just returned from my latest BKK stay felt I should report for those with any concerns about our beloved bar. Firstly I have visited BKK twice a year, every year since 2013. I stay for 1 week and spend most nights in Tawan (as it will always be known to me) I don’t bother with any other bar as I am into big muscle only! On my first visits to Tawan 11 years ago, in the original venue across the road, there was a DJ who provided cheeky sound effects to what the guys were doing on the stage, along with quips and comment throughout the show. This made it all so much more lively and fun than what it has become. The shows themselves were far more hardcore and sexual. They could certainly revive some of these features today. Fast forward to my visit last week, 3 nights in the bar. I am happy to report it is the same beast that she has been of recent years. if not of it's former glory. On night one the boys were few and not the greatest quality, but there were 2 I would consider my type. The crowd was very small, I did have concerns for its future. The 2nd and 3rd nights the place was packed with boys, there were 3-4 that would work for me, and it was a full crowd. A much brighter picture all round! There were enough different body types to appeal to all tastes, several off season bodybuilder types for me to choose from Thankfully the guys are still as friendly and welcoming as ever, it does help that I have a muscled build (yes that is me in my avatar) and they never fail to swarm around me and give me extra attention! (the guy next to me asked if this was the show when they were up there with faces in phones!) - Get rid of the drag from the show… this is not the right venue or audience for drag, we are there to see MEN! - The shows need to be more hardcore (if allowed) Although I did have a laugh during the “BDSM” show when one was whipping the other with a thick foam tube, it made a hell of a noise, but certainly delivers no pain…yet 2 separate guys left covering their eyes in horror, bless em And bring back the cheeky DJ with the fun commentary through the show. - Advertising… ZERO! This is crazy, particularly after the reopening! If anyone knows the management and can speak fluently PLEASE get them off their ass and do some publicity! Twitter, Insta, Facebook, Tic Tok, ad noisome are all free. Tawan Bar has a page on each, all have been neglected for years, They need to get a few posts up a few times a month. They have been open 20+ years and no one I talk to in Australia knows they exist! On top of that every local I spoke to while there thought it was still closed and were shocked led when I said Id been going every night! This bar has the potential to be so much more successful with just a few tweaks… It remains my favourite bar and I hope to see it thrive into the future!

Day 2 After he left I collapsed on the bed for well deserved rest after two nights on the plane and night in between spent sightseeing. Hi everyone, I recently spent some time in Bangkok and had the opportunity to explore various bars in Silom and decided to share. This wasn’t my first time in Thailand but it was my first time staying in Bangkok. I've detailed my encounters at places like Fresh Boys, Good Boy, Dreamboys, Hot Male, and 9-Teen during August 1st-5th 2024. Also I found this forum thanks to the post “ 2 weeks in Bangkok!” I found it very helpful so thanks to all who contributed to that. AIRPORT I got out of the airport, and it was time to negotiate with the cab driver. I checked out Grab, and it said it should be 350 to the hotel or 550 for a premium car, so I used that as a base for the cab. The guy quoted me 700, so I countered with 450. In the end, we settled at 550, which I guess is okay. FRESH BOYS I went to Fresh Boys. There were about 40 boys, intercut with drag/shower/big dick shows. Oddly enough, I received a message on Grindr from a cute guy about 15 minutes before I walked into the bar. Some playful boys joked with me from the stage about which one would make a better bottom for me today. It was cute. I called the boy over, a small Thai boy. I was worried about this because the last spa I went to had a shared bathroom at the end of a hallway and I found it very uncomfortable. Oh yeah, the boy. As soon as I paid, there was a guy standing behind me who told me he would take care of me. He wasn’t bad. He was tall-ish, maybe 5’10”, and not super skinny. Back to the room, neither massage, the Thai or oil, was particularly good. The guy tried, but it was just fine at best. The pants they gave me to wear were uncomfortable, so I had taken them off and was under a towel. This is a continuation of my “Return” topic in the Gay Thailand forum. After a ten days in Bangkok and Pattaya, I flew to Japan for another ten day visit, 6 of which were with family and friends. My travel plans settled me into the Osaka/Kyoto region. I was in Tokyo but only for a lengthy layover on the way from Bangkok to Osaka. After looking at the various sites and I encourage forum members to explore as the majority of the sites provide photos of their “representatives”, details on age, height, weight, penis size and what the guys will get up to or into. One can contrast these prices with Bangkok remembering to add in the off fee and and drinks that may have attached themselves to completing the off. The two hour fee is about 4000 THB. As a culture, Japanese do not expect tips. Your up front cost is also the back end cost (in more ways than one). Whew…got the details out. I used both two hour and three hour bookings as I was testing and exploring. First lesson learned was make sure the agency serves the city your are in. I got caught by the photo and talents of a boy at the frangrance agency. Only to receive a polite explanation that Frangrance didn’t serve Osaka. Second lesson book ahead. Most of the sites similar to some Bangkok massage shops have multiple dozens of photos of boys. Best to check the photos on the “schedule” part of the website to see who is actually available and at what times. These sites will also show the availability for the next several days/nights. Some boys require that they be booked the day before the planned meeting.
