Guest JanFriday Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I am a newbie both of this board and to this scene. My only guy experience is watching it on net. However after reading posts from vinapu, TMaxx and co, I have gotten really excited about the massage parlors for my upcoming BK trip. Do you think it is okay for me to go there without any experience behind me? Or should I wait it out? After reading as much as I can on the forum, my plan was to go to Yunomori Onsen on the first day to get used to live male nudity (yes I am that new even though I am in 30s) after that I have narrowed it down to water nest and Hero. Although I don't know if I will have to guts to go through with it or chicken out once I find these places. If you guys have any suggestions or help feel free to give me to me. Quote
kokopelli Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Suggest you keep watching guy experiences on the net. Why take a chance on the real thing and be disappointed? Live male nudity is a traumatic experience and not for the chicken-hearted. ChristianPFC 1 Quote
biguyby Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Yunomori Onsen Japanese Spa looks very nice but I think in my case going there I would be more nervous than going to Hero or Water Nest there is a lot of etiquette involved with Japanese bath houses and spas. Just bite your lip and and relax and once you feel those relaxing massage strokes around your butt and penis you wil soon lose all the anxiety and think only of hoping the massage would last forever. kokopelli and vinapu 2 Quote
forky123 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Having been where you are not so many years ago, my suggestion would be to bite the bullet, go get a massage and let whatever happens, happen. It is all too easy to build it up and up in your mind to such a degree that you can't enjoy it as you are so stressed out about it. Hero is a great massage place and I have not had a single bad massage there. I've not tried Water Nest though maybe on my next trip. There are many other great massage places too. Good luck and tell us how you get on. vinapu and biguyby 2 Quote
brall3 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Is the Yunomori Onsen Japanese Spa all male or mixed? Any information about happy endings? Quote

After reading as much as I can on the forum, my plan was to go to Yunomori Onsen on the first day to get used to live male nudity (yes I am that new even though I am in 30s) Strange. You are a newbie but yet you have chosen to go to a place, Yunomori Onsen, as your absolutely first choice? A place that seemes to be for both men and women according to the little information I can find on the Internet about this place that I had never heard about before. And you have read about it on the forum you say? By searching the three main gay Thailand-forums I can not find that this place has ever been mentioned there. Please add link to the forums with more information on this place. I must agree with Kokopelli that maybe it is best for you to avoid this experiment of yours and stick to the Internet. Quote
forky123 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 He doesn't say he read about Yunomori Onsen on the forum, he says after reading as much as he can on the forum that he plans to go there first to get used to live male nudity. Maybe he has a thing for water as another place he is thinking about going is the water nest. Quote
anddy Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Is the Yunomori Onsen Japanese Spa all male or mixed? Any information about happy endings? all male or mixed - well both. It is for for both men and women, there in two completely separate areas. It is like two dirffernet places in one. So inside the Onsen it will be all male. Only in the public areas like the restaurant, where there is no nudity but weverone wears a bathrobe, will men and women mix. As for HE, I've not had a massage there, but from what I read there is strictly no HE there. But again, no personal experience with the massages, only the Onsen. Quote
vinapu Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I can relate to OP being nervous since I still remember my heart pumping when climbing stairs back in 2001 to my first massage place visited-HIS in the same plaza where ARENA is now. Even now, after 11 trips when entering those places I feel some tingling under the collar. My advice to nervous newbies to BKK male massages will be: - go by BTS to Sala Daeng station and walk length of the right side Silom from beginning at intersection to soi 6, many massage places with boys outside - turn right and walk through soi 6 , still few more massage places as you are walking with even more boys to Suriwong - after 3 minutes you will hit another busy street -Suriwong, turn right, don't cross the street yet - walk along and you will see even more places with boys outside -when you pass Patpong and Patpong 2 on your right start paying attention to the opposite side of Suriwiong , soon you will see sign HOT MALE, BOYS BANGKOK etc , this is famous soi Twilight - cross the street making sure you are not hit by car, remember Thailand drives on the left -enter soi , few meters into soi you will see on your left MAXI restaurant and on your right and across restaurant Bangkok Massage with quite a few boys sitting outside, count your blessings because they will not pay any attention to you, being consumed by watching porn or whatever on their smartphones - have a seat, order drink but not a meal and get adjusted to the sight of massage boys thinking intensively which one you like the best, - even if you don't pick up anybody this gives you necessary nerves calming exercise - if you walk too fast you may stop at another restaurant - Dick's on your right , right after seeing another set of boys sitting at front of Bonny's massage, you may repeat exercise but vantage point is not as good since you will have your drink sitting beside boys , not across the soi from them. Now you should be brave enough to try either one of places you just saw or ones you plan to visit. Both places are not intimidating because technically you are in restaurant not at their place. Having to choose your first boy from the offer can be intimidating as well so if you still scared / nervous my advice would be to try Waternest, Jey Spa or S52 since there you are picking up boys from either smartphone or picture book. Second choice could be Hero, Prince or VClub because boys there are behind the glass wall so not in your face so you will feel a little more secured. You will not see nudity anywhere until you will be in the massage room with the boy who may be naked from the start or may start shedding his clothes gradually. In both places in soi Twilight and at Hero and Prince boys will shower with you so you will have nudity right away which may be good or not good thing depending how nervous still you are. My advice to my friend who will be nervous newbie will be to skip all the above and head straight to Banana Club and ask Kevin, very pleasant and informative owner for Tao. He is well mannered soft spoken gay man with superb massage skills, trained at Wat Po , it shows and feels I haste to add. Can't imagine anybody not being at ease in his presence. Banana Club boys are showering with you as well at both ends of session. Gee, getting hot in here. biguyby 1 Quote
Guest JanFriday Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Wow, before Vinapu, two out of four suggested NOT to go to any of the places. Not what I expected. Talk about pouring cold water over hot expectations Lol. Thanks Vinapu for the detailed help. Much appreciated. Forky and BGB, thanks for your suggestions. I think I will follow your advice and goto the place after that I will see whether I have in me to take the next step or chicken out. And yes Forky, I do have a thing for water, Lol. Nice catch. bkkmfj2648 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Ciao Vinapu, Excellent "newbie user guide" - I remember how terrified and overwhelmed I was my first time in a massage place only 3 years ago..... I agree with you, the easiest places are those where you pick the masseur from a picture book or from an iPad photo list. The most intense selection process is Hero or those other places where you have from 8 to 25 guys standing in front of you saying "pick me, pick me..." that is a VERY intense sensation - but well worth the challenge... Ok, JanFriday - let us all know how it works out for you - I truly enjoy reading "first timers" stories and experiences - it helps me to remember my first time and to be less jaded.... enjoy, M. vinapu 1 Quote
forky123 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 One "rule" that works for me is "if in doubt, go for the boy looking at you with the biggest smile". It didn't fail me once on my trip. DivineMadman and vinapu 2 Quote
Guest JanFriday Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Thanks M, will surely post my account provided that I don't chicken out in the end..Hahahaha I've been reading the forums non stop for the last couple of days and have made a loooonnngg list of things I would like to do. I think I will need many weeks in BK to cover all which is not possible..Lol Quote
ChristianPFC Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 There are a lot of massage and gogo reports on this forum, but few about saunas. But I think a gay sauna is the best place to start for the following reasons: you can freely wander around and look at dozens of other men (usually in tower or underwear, nude only on nude days) without commitment, and have a few gropes in darkrooms. Whereas in massage you choose your masseur and then you go to room, and then you're stuck. In bar you order drink and sit and look at boys, and that's it. If you have never had gay sex before and are not accustomed to male nudity in real life, I recommend sauna over everything else to start with. You might even get sex for free (wheres gogo and massage is prostitution). In addition, entry to sauna is far cheaper than massage, and cheaper than drinks in gogo (and you don't have to fend off mamasans or pushy boys). Once you are comfortable with male nudity, move on to gogo and massage. Quote
Guest JanFriday Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Thanks Christian, you are right I've never had GS nor am I accustomed with male nudity, that's why I am so nervous I guess. Can you recommend some saunas I should visit? Also if possible their reviews. Quote
vinapu Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 (wheres gogo and massage is prostitution). I'm shocked Quote

Nice catch. they were teasing you by suggesting you chicken out. Relax and as biguyby suggested , just go, once inside you will not chicken out, you may be overwhelmed at first but curiosity and excitement will take over, guaranteed. If you are after water, Waternest and Shape spa in Thonburi are your best bets. For sauna reviews read Christian blog, address under his post, you will learn plenty about Thailand as well. Forky is right - pick up boy who seem to be interested in you / smiles /. biguyby 1 Quote

I found most intense selection process at SENSO since lobby is small and boys are literally 2 meters from your face , all hunks , massage always very good there, I was never disappointed biguyby 1 Quote
ChristianPFC Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Vinapu, can you elaborate on Shape Spa? It's next to Phoenix sauna (former EDOK), but I never went (Shape Spa; I went to sauna many times). Last week there was a cute boy shirtless in towel at reception of Shape Spa, I just had to go in and ask a few stupid question (to get a closer look), but he doesn't work there, he is the son of the owner. For first sauna experience, you can't go wrong with Babylon and it's well known and easy to reach (from Silom/Sathorn; let me know where you stay and maybe I can suggest something closer). Quote

Last week there was a cute boy shirtless in towel at reception of Shape Spa, I just had to go in and ask a few stupid question (to get a closer look), but he doesn't work there, he is the son of the owner. As for Shape spa experience below is my report from Dec 2014 visit copied from my "Off to Thailand again " trip report : "Here are directions how to get there: decamp at Wongwian Yai BTS, take covered walkway to the busy Taksin intersection / 5 mins / there looking south you will notice busy street with two pedestrian overpasses, take either side and walk to the SECOND overpass, just north of it is LG Building. Standing at front of building you will notice parking driveway on the right side , just go and you will see it. DO NOT take driveway at Shell station, that's too far. Few boys outside, very handsome manager at the desk in the lobby and I mean it. Mamasan called over and shows with price list and book with pictures of boys, not wasting time is asking if I'm top or bottom, than we go through pictures , boy selected. Since it's Sunday decided to splurge on 1500, 2 hr scrub / massage / ozone Jacuzzi treatment. They ensured I understand minimum tip of 1000 requirement and were happy I understand. Passable English spoken by all 3 I was dealing with Boy escorting me upstairs to spacious room with separate bathroom, is asking me to take a shower while he picks up supplies and after a while shows stark naked. Certainly they know business and a customer service there and I liked what I saw although boy on younger side , 20 y/o. Everything went according to the scriptures and I had good time and boy a good tip /1500 /. Of course invited him to share Jacuzzi with me , not that he was trying not to. After such a treatment it was easy walk back to BTS. Definitely I'd recommend the place for something out of regular Silom ghetto albeit not really that far – from Sala Daeng 5 BTS stops and 15 minutes walk . I liked their straight questions/answers approach, no BS ' up to you ' " biguyby and ChristianPFC 2 Quote
