Guest ryoyo Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 I am thinking of taking a massage course, preferably one-day. It seems to have some spa schools around Bangkok but I would prefer a gay-exclusively one, because I don't want to touch a woman's body. Do some gay spas in bangkok have this kind of course? Quote
pong Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 You- frankly said-might better ask how to become a millionaire in 1 day. Its-at least to the normal standard Thai idea/teacher of it, IMpossible-the shortest courses I ever saw advertsied in BKk or TH were 1 week-and thats just rubbish for tourists giving them the idea to have spent some time. Of course pre-experience will also count. Never also have seen anything about specific gay msg courses. However, I do know for sure that some of the older established and highly rated such msg-shops DO give kind of ''training courses'' to masseurs already qualified in general msg-Thai style. Many other shops hold like weekly or so ''working exchange hours'' where older/more exp. staff teach the youngies how to. I have even sometimes heard (I ask a lot to masseurs when being treated and speak enough of Thai for that) that those hoping to get more jobs and better pay have also taken such ''courses'' in other shops as their own. I highly, highly doubt if a farang walk-in would be made welcome to such sessions. The best thing in advice is to learn Thai asap and hope/pray/find a well-qualified masseur for that you are comfy with, willing to give you some ''lessons'' and pay him for the day. Moses 1 Quote
NIrishGuy Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Did you perhaps mean something a little less than a full course, more something like " how to massage your partner better at home' type course rather than a full on "how to be a professional Thai masseuse" type course ? As I too have always fancied doing a short version of that type of course actually just to cover the basics, I can handle all the happy ending stuff perfectly well but it would be nice to learn how to rub a back muscle one way and not the other as that's how it should be done based on a body's physiologly etc. I did come across such a course as the one I mentioned in Bali, where the massage lady spent I think it was three hours with you being able to be shown and learn on the other ( OLD ! ) massage lady where the first lady showed you the basics ( or you could bring "your wife" too I recall lol), so I went and found a suitable ( fuck buddy) male partner and we were all set to go and book it then for no real reason we just didn't - I think from memory an afternoon fuck session may have gotten in the way and by the time we bothered to get up out of bed again later they had closed and I was leaving shortly after and on my return a few months later the place had closed down :-( Quote
anddy Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Arom:D Spa in Silom (located at the Bandara Suites Hotel in Saladaeng Soi 1) offer some workshops, including for Thai massage of various lenths, from a 6 hour intro to a lengthy 3 level course totalling 150 hours. See http://sensestory.net/?page=services&category=76 They are not gay, though but supposed to be gay frinedly. Personally, I would expect strictly non-sexual, legitimate massage courses to be conducted on a same-gender basis so as to avoid any hint of sexual implications, but I have zero experience so this is just my personal guess. You can always ask them. Quote
