Guest wowpow Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Like many I popped in for an aperitif before on the the main event the Mr. PGF competition held for the first time at Boyz Boyz Boyz. It's a nice comfy bar with some good sighlines and superb selection of athletic boys. Some of the star boys from the old premises are still there and new stars seem to have been recruited. I was very shocked to see Mr Mon there who used work in Tawan bar and was heavily featured on Thaibody.com recently. Seemingly the airconditioning business in Chiang Mai is not doing well this cold season. http://www.thaibody.com/athletes/view.html?pid=7 Mr Mon kindly agreed to support the PGF Charities by entering the Mr PGF Competition at the last minute and he was a finalist in the Mr Popular competition but did not fare well with the judges who were swayed by the flashy good looks and over-superb physiques of other entrants and did not look at his Jai dee. I did not catch the show at Wild West Bar but I guess it\'s a good as ever. I would propose that you add it to your list of must visit bars this high season. It's not too far to stagger across to Boyz Boyz Boyz to catch their fabulous ladyboy show - one of whom recently starred in London at the Olympia Exhibition and wowed that London gay audience. also posted on other forums I did not add to the existing thread on Wild West due to the morass of vitriol there. Guest ear wig Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 """Last nite, Wild West Boys opened in their new location just across the soi from A-Bomb.. They had a free buffet and the place was packed at around 10PM.. It is an amazing place and feels like a small boxing arena with a large center stage and lots of seating on all four sides.. It is big and beautiful (formerly Jupiter lady bar) and feels many times the size of Wild West Boys former location.. The Boyztown area (Pattayaland sois 1, 2, 3) need some excitement and it was great to see the place jumping.. My only fear is that it will fill up with hetero couples and Russian ladies but it should be big enough to accommodate all of us.""". words of a pensioner, who should be in bed this time of night Now that is what I call a man wow pow,I do not know if it is me but it is so interesting to see what others claim to be there dream boy, I must say you normally have it just right if they are not to big up top, but some of the winners in these contests I thonk are just plain. Even though the winner on this occasion seems to be quite a treat I do know him he has been around for a while, I was glad to see there were 20 other contestants and it was well graced by some of the jewelers favorites in town, who seem to jangle there jewelry rather then clap. It is for a wonderful charitable cause and Madam jim is always worth the evenings entertainment on her own how will we ever replace her no one Ican think of unless GayThailand and Mistress Button wants to Drag up again, and i would pay to see that even though I hear Hedda does sneak in heavily veiled some times. ChrisUK Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I was late for the midnight show, arriving at 11.45pm and the place was packed. There really should be some consideration by management for customers , - when the bar eaches a comfortable capacity, they should have a "waiting queue" line outside rather than try to squash everybody into non-existent spaces. Having said that, I was impressed by the new premises, but not the show, which was a diluted version of what I had seen in the old premises. The larger venue obviously has better ventilation, but with so many present, it was still somewhat smokey. Large pillars obstruct a lot of the views from ceratin seating areas , so come early for much better seats in future. The real downside was the vast number of females and straights. Maybe that's because the venue was a girlie bar the day before, but it doesn't help me feel it's my type of place. Mai phen rai, I'll go again after it all settles down, after all, they gave me a VIP card entitling me to a 20% discount on drinks for a year. It has great potential if managed well for the gay community. Quote
Guest wowpow Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Last night when I popped into Wild West the number of customers was tolerable. The boys were looking good and the owner/manager guy gave me, on request, a 20% drink discount ticket which was nice. Sadly he is now married and has a baby. He seems to be the show organiser. Gaycuna and A-Bomb and Toy Boys were all very quiet but then the streetparty hadf started. The previous evening Wild West had been crammed again with restricted view seating only. Rather a change from the Madama Butterfly at The Sheraton which was only two thirds full. Quote
Guest Pearl69er Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I'll tell you what-this place must be something as Village Idiot ( elsewhere)and Earwig both agree for the first time in their lives !! Count me in-I'll be hitching a ride to Wild West asap. Quote
