biguyby Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Has anyone had any first hand experience of staying at the Bondi Hotel? It is ideally placed for me as a Dongtan Beach fan and I think I may try a week or so there next trip if the feedback is favourable (and of course if they have a vacancy) Thanks for any help on this one. http://www.bondipattaya.com/ Quote
Moses Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I did about 4 times. In general it is good enough. There are 4 gay guesthouses|hotels on the beach: Rooms Club **** Tui's Place *** Bondi ** DD Inn * *- **** means very close to quality rate of european hotel's stars, prices reflect quality also just don't take room with garden view at first floor - it is too much outdated... also I suggest you to take a look to BBHouse - half way btw Bondi and Rooms Club, watch light blue oval sign with letters BB House, you can check at google-map 12.899644, 100.865917 Bbhouse as good as Tui's, no problem for gays and overnight guests, but rooms cost half less vinapu, kokopelli and biguyby 3 Quote

biguyby Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Thank you Moses for these reviews, you have certainly given me some interesting places to consider on my next trip. Quote
Guest travelerjim Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 If it were me... I would select The Bondi...nice sea view from porch...good 120 Thai baht breakfast...served all day. Owners perfect hosts....welcome you on arrival & departure each day. I believe its location safer if returning later at night or min early morning...(across from the police station). Owner at Bondi brings me the Bangkok Post to my table... I have once had (xxxx) owner demand the waiter to get the Bangkok Post from my table as he was not finished reading it. That was my last time to have breakfast ..or any food at (xxxx)... I used to eat there often when I lived at VT 5C for several years.... ( the newspaper was on an empty table...I saw it and asked the waiter for it...to read...only to find out later the table was the owner's near the door inside..."Owner reads" the paper first...."then" it's available for others...I felt sorry for the waiter). Not my idea of a welcoming hospitality. Enjoy your holidays in Pattaya. tj Quote
biguyby Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 Thanks for your input travelerjim, I had looked at the Rabbit Resort in the past but I too was put off by the security question you raise about returning late at night / early morning. I have been holidaying in Pattaya for 24 years now but as yet have never stayed in Jomtien I think it's time to give it try even if it's only for part of my holiday as I really do like Dongtan Beach.
