V fare ...economy coach.The new Delta website allows you to select "flexible dates" and will also show you 5 weeks before & after airfares ...scroll the 5 weeks before & after prices....month to month...shows you the lowest fares possible.I love the new way Delta allows you to select lowest fares...The new Delta Award Calendar system to be introduced in the new year also will have much easier ways to get lowest possible miles needed for your flights... Just spent 2 days looking 9 months from now Atlanta to Rio return from Buenos aires . 55 day window for a 12 day trip. Could not find low saver Economy . Called Gold Desk and nothing. Ridiculous 9 months out and low season for those countries. I am finished with DL 1 RT left and then this 2 Million Miler is gone for good. Oh and by the way my last Business flight with them I could not get my first choice for meal and no Sundaes left for me. Useless!!! floridarob 1 Quote

The new calendar starting in 2015 may offer us hope... as the example shown on the new 2015 Delta SkyMiles changes sure looks promising. We all will see if it is an improvement or not in 2015. BTW...using partner airline in booking award tickets with SkyMiles much better. KLM availability is usually very good. Need helpful Elite Desk assistance to get them. Good luck.. tj Quote

For all its faults UA has never not had what I wanted with a little flexibility both Business and Economy. Of douse Star Alliance is 100's better then Useless DL alliance. They pissed KE of so much there are never any seats on them . KLM is useless unless you want to spend 10 hours in AMS airport for connection to BKK. I have 400,000 mile I will use up some how and they will never see me again. I can fly ANA on UA with full bonuses and spend counted. And when I feel safe about qualifying Gold I can fly EVA and Asiana which are a big step above any USA airline and all the mikes will count with UA. Quote
