Random Pattaya Thoughts

I have not been able to put together daily updates like Firecat (great posts, by the way) so I thought I would try something different. Random thoughts and in no particular order.

Biggest revelation: I am seriously in love with BF. By circumstance, I was in Pattaya on my own for a couple of days before BF came down from Issan. I decided to party it up butterfly-style during this time...reliving pre-BF days in a way. After the first day of debauchery, I laid in bed and it occurred to me. Having crazy sex with three incredibly sexy, beautiful, and talented boys was just not as good as being with BF. A great and scary thing.

What the hell is "Thai Herbal Whiskey"? Wicked stuff sold at sidewalk setups. Shots chased with weird, herbal infused water. 180 baht for a big bottle. Crazy.

Double shot bar has been closed every night I have been passed. No big loss, but makes Sunee look dark in a way.

Seems that most of the time when we off a gogo boy, it is a bit disappointing. Much better meeting friends by other means.

Tam Nam Issan. Still my favorite place. Visit just about every night from about 1am until about 4 or 5 am. My ears are the worse for it, but so much fun. Meet so many bar boys there it seems like a convention for them.

Took a couple of "fem boy" friends bowling with us one night. Hilarious to watch the flair with which they send the ball careening down the lane...and the subsequent shrieks when they witness their result.

The "Corner Food" restaurant has the best version of massaman I have found so far. Delicious. 90 baht for the dish plus rice. Ground floor of Baan Dok Mai-near Tuk Com.

BoyzBoyzBoyz still has ladyboy show. I can't recall which poster or on which forum, but someone said it was all sexy boy show now. I endured about 30 minutes of the ladyboys before the good boy show started up. Bit too many females in the audience for my preference.

Might try to post more later. Need to sleep.

Anonone,

Hope BF feels same way now that you will have to visit even more often.

Nice to be young like you and able to party until 5am. Those days are over for me, they are just a fond memory. 1am is my limit and not too often. I suppose if I could sleep during the day but cannot without using sleep aids which I try very hard not to use.

I know the feeling and I am very happy for you.  Hope it last and last.

I know that feeling also.  Do I really miss it?  Not sure, but I am far from unhappy.

I am trying to learn how to make simulated bf situation work for me. On one or two occasions it dangerously dropped the "simulated" quality on my part and was taking me too much grief to get over.

But I am still glad I had those experiences.

Hi, anonone,

Nice post.

Just wondering - is he the same boy I met down at the beach with you-know-who??

Lucky you! Enjoy the experience!

Boyz Boyz Boyz 10:30pm show is all sexy boy show and the best in Pattaya.

The late show around 12:00 midnight is part lady boy cabaret and part sexy boys.

I like the concept of random thoughts. By far, better than the time dated, every baht spent, obsessive compulsive style ones.

Agree firecat best trip reports poster and great pix except the mannaries one. 555

don't you worry as it seems you find your cure - being squeezed by the boy during daytime is much better that all those stupid pills you smartly try to avoid.

I find morning activities  more enjoyable than evening ones . it's why I always try to off long time. I wake up and here it is  , boy right there.

While in Thailand I sleep very little / 3-4 hours  / by the way and I credit all those massages for the fact that despite it I rarely feel sleepy

try to give him and yourself time off from each others company  during day.

As I'm butterfly don't have much experience with that but several trips ago I sticked   to one boy from Aqua Spa to the whole week and used that approach daily. But saying good bye was hard as at that time due to circumstances I didn't  even know if I will be back in LOS and when.

There's market for both approaches, I like those  more detailed as I seem to always learn something new from them.

Agree with you about assessment of firecat's contribution.

just checking in while enjoying foot massage...prepping for tonight's activities

a447-yes, same BF you met at the beach. We are together 3 years now.

I am definitely enjoying being in love. Thanks for all thr kind comments

More thoughts:

I thought there was nothing more slick then the tile floor of Thai bathroom after BF has doused the place with water. I was wrong. When you add a thin film of astroglide....you just cant beleive how slippery.

Thank god for the food section of 7-11. Many good sunrise feast fixings to be drunkenly thrown together. And the clerks have great patience with the experience.

Like some sort of cosmic fluke, I run into NIrish on every trip. Great fun, but I spend the rest of the trip explaing to all his Thai admirers that I have no idea where NIrish is. There must be a special Thai word for his level of butterfly....

I have almost killed myself a number of times. So this time I went to Central first day and got a nice safe bath mat for the shower. (400 baht). No more slipping . I love it!!!

I believe the most common word they would all probably agree on would be "E Dok" lol

And Anon you got me caught out even more than usual when after telling me the other day about a boy asking after me a thai friend said to me "oh I see your friend Anon al Tan Nam" so me thinking i was being smart jumped in and said " oh yes he tell me you ask him about me, how sweet of you" only for him to glare at me and scowl at me and grunt "hummph, i not even talk with him, i just see, you obviously thinking of some other boy who ask about you i think !" - OPPS ! :-)

Ha. Can't blame that one on me NIrish. I think that was your own slip-up.

Power boys well run bar still. Strong air conditioning, clean restrooms, good drinks, and all the rest. The staff is small, but all friendly. Even starting some gropes for tips action, at least among the more "manly" guys. I think this is becoming very much the standard for Sunee bars.

I tried the new Lucky 7 a couple of times but was not as impressed as I would have hoped. It is perfectly fine, decent staff, etc but I had big hopes for this place as Vasa opened up so strong.

Thanks Firecat. BF feels the same way at least far as I can tell. Love is always a risky affair, but I feel the risk is worth it this time. We do seem perfect for each other, in our own unique way...which is the best scenario we can ever hope for.

I think the late nights are easier for me on these short (1week) trips. I actually keep somewhat in sync with my home time zone. When the sun comes up in Pattaya, it is early evening at home and just about time for sleep. I rarely have jet lag issues that way. At least, that is my excuse to keep partying all night here. LOL

Flying over half of the world just for one week it's achievement by every means as I find those flights grueling.

On coming home jet lag is an issue for me but surprisingly not when flying to Thailand.

It must be the candy sights and all those massages keeping lag away

Well, another trip has come to an end. Always sad. Though the knowledge that I will be back in just a couple months lessens the sadness.

Some last thoughts as I make my way home.

Seems like crazy dragon is slotted to close up in a month or so unless a buyer comes forward. There are a couple of very cute and talented boys there if you like the petite, boy-next-door type. One is a bit more fem, but the other is a real gem. Worth a visit, for sure.

Foot massage. What a joy. Really tried to get in one a day. Didn't quite make it, but very rejuvenating after a long night of (bad) Issan dancing. And that little stick (wood, for massage...not the other little stick) that can either be bliss or pain depending on the skills of the particular massage staff. ( Actually, I guess that applies to both little sticks. LOL).

Not exactly sure what pressure point they are trying to achieve with that thing....

International Beverage -Blend 285

Blend 285 is an admix spirit, made using a careful blend of local ingredients and imported vatted malt from Scotland. It is produced at ThaiBev's state-of-the-art Red Bull Distillery.

Note to self: next time my visit coincides with a NIrish trip, invest heavily in "ThaiBev". Might be enough to finance an early retirement. :)

Cheers all.

A random thought.

We saw the new Planet of the Apes movie last night.

Thai bf and I both liked it. Theatre was quite full for a change.

Something to do tonight with the boy bars closed .

Back at home now and finally getting some spare time.  I had to jump right into some work things when I arrived back.

Posting some more plus pictures now that I have access to my computer.  Hopefully provides some color to an otherwise text report.

Inspired by a post about a day outing to Koh Larn, I decided to give it a shot.  We took a bunch of friends from Crazy Pub, plus some others, out to the island for the day.  As to be expected, we missed the boat we were shooting for so got a bit of a late start.

It was OK for a one-time trip to do something different, but I don't think we will go back anytime soon.  Everything more expensive on the island, even food.  Takes about 45 minutes each way on the ferry.  If anything, might be good for just BF and I to go over and find a secluded spot away from the crowds.  Pack some supplies and just enjoy the great ocean water.  Banana boat was fun.  800 baht for the group to go for 30 minutes.

As has become tradition, an early evening spent on the rooftop patio for "BBQ" with friends.  One of the boys throws together a most excellent dipping sauce for the pork, including some extra chilies on the side for even more heat.  A very relaxing start to the evening.

Later that some night, a peek under the table at Tam Nam Issan shows the story.

I wonder how many bottles of Blend I purchase during the week.  I may have to try and keep count next time....

And even later that same night, I encounter "Thai Herbal Whiskey".   Wow.  Wicked.
