Spell Check

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, have you seen the Spell check option ?

Every time you post or reply, you should have a button at the end of the page. Left to the " Post " or " Add Reply " button.

It is working on my side, but a it isn't working for one of our member. I just want to have your opinion..

PS : I have posted this in the Comments and suggestions part of the forum, but it seems not too many people realized that :)

Thanks for your time.

At last its good to see your forever making new and sensible extension to our favorite forum, even though I used it yesterday and it worked but tried it with an old post and it does not seem to work ill try again if and when I have some good gossip I can share with you.

Well done Stef its like building a new home slowly upgrading all the time and our new home now is very comfortable, with lots of many friends new and old.

I would use it here now, but it does not have use of the spell check with fast post.

That's correct, it won't allow you to use the " Spell check " option in the Fast Reply window. Well I guess I will have to look into that :)

You might have to just click " More options " to get the spell check options...

Till then...

I always like the name on Sawatdee 'Spill Chucker'

Ooops when I click on Spell Checker I get "error on page?"

I wonder how many will use it? Is it fast. When I started using Firefox it used to spell check everything everywhere but it's stopped doing it on this board. It just puts a line of red dots under any word in question and when you click on the word it speedily offers alternatives or you can tell it to learn the word. Sadly it is currently only in, that offspring of English known as, American so I am having to teach it a lot.

I am surprised to see LMTU's enthusiasm for this facility. He often has accused me of being a 'spelling snob' and I do rather agree that if you can get your meaning across that is the most important thing about a message.

Punctuation is also a help in that area as "Eats shoots and leaves" can mean a Thai Money boy or a Panda.

Not working Stefano ... "ERROR ON PAGE" message when clicking on the Spell Check button.

Tried again and got a different message: "DONE" ... but nothing happened. I waited to no avail. Bugs are not out I'm afraid.

Cheers ...

:D If it's any consolation, ElephantSpike had exactly the same problems incorporating a spell check application within Sawatdee. It took a lot of work apparently and wasn't up and working well for some time. But it happened successfully sooner or later and it turned out to be a very good one, with no ongoing glitches now. So good luck!

Cheers ...
