Maple
Went to Boyztown on May 12 -- Vesak, or Buddha Day -- when all bars were supposed to be closed and no booze served. However, several go-go bars on Pattayaland Soi 1 adjacent to Boyztown were open with their stages full of dancers: Gacuya, Sawatdee, Handy Boys, Dream Boys, Dynamite, and across 2nd road, Star Boys. Both of my visiting friends found company -- mission accomplished!
Guest catawampuscat
I noticed Star Boys was open and thought it odd as Boyztown was dark, althou I think Cafe Royal was open..I looked down Soi 1 and I think the lights were off and I ddin't walk down the soi..It was okay as I needed a nite off..Royal Garden was packed and the movies sold out or only first few rows available..Not too many places in the world where an older gay man can go out every nite and have a choice of so many go go and beer bars.. By the way, the new outdoor beer bar in Sunee opposite Memories was open last night..They have a snooker table and three horseshoe shaped drinking areas with stools..Last nite thou, they had some tables and chairs outside and there were customers..It should be interesting to see how it develops and I didn't see a name yet but expect they will get signage soon...
