When You Learn That a Sex Partner has STD

Recommended Posts

In the topic on Venereal Warts the poster says that he learned that the person he was having sex with had warts.  This is a Sexually Transmitted Disease and I was wondering how you feel this should be handled.  Do you feel that when you learn of an STD problem with a commercial sex partner you should tell others like members of this forum about it, and who the person with the disease is, since is is possible that one of us could meet with the same infected person if he did not have this information?

No.  That is just crazy.  Turn the question around.  If you learn that a member has an STD, would you feel compelled to tell all the Thai boys about it, since it is possible they could meet with the same person?

When having fun with a commercial sex worker, you should already be very careful and practice safer sex methods.

And this includes regular testing.

If I was in a bar with friends, I'd let them know but tricky on open forum for a few reasons.

Numbers change and many boys with same or similar names.

There are malicious farangs who try to deter others from boys they like or ones they hate.

Some boys on gayromeo get stalkers that obsess over them and tells lies.

I imagine a bar might take umbrage and threaten a forum with legal action, especially if farang owned.

First , one must be pretty close to a boy to learn about him having STD. And if you close it's your call how much you want to reveal about people close to you.

Venereal warts are easy detectable so no need to warn as one can see and tough possible danger when with boy and made his call as how to proceed.

As williewillie noticed , if somebody would be spreading mailcious news on the board I'd immediately suspect sinister motive like revenge and unlikely be deterred from seeing a boy.

so while OP question is very interesting and posses real moral dilemma it's pure theory.

Follow anonone's advice and assume everybody you are intimate with has STD and protect yourself. And pray that our boys assume  and do exactly the same when seeing us.

My practical experience with this is limited to one case so far, when a boy who was more my friend than anything else had caught something from someone and came to visit me visibly unwell. He felt very shy about going to see a doctor, and that's something to consider, so I offered to take him. If you care about someone, no matter if he's your lover or your friend your even your paid companion, helping without being judgmental is the right thing to do.

That said, I'd also take care of protecting myself first and foremost. If I'd realize that someone I'm about to have sex with has symptoms of any STD, I wouldn't be shy not to follow through and offer to take him to a doctor instead. Chances are my lust would be down to zero anyway. That's admittedly easier for me than for someone who is here on holiday and has precious little time that he wants to enjoy to the fullest.

All depends if the lights are on or off unless you have a good sense of touch.

Ok, I stand corrected. I had only on encounter with boy with such alignment and they were easily visible and touchable but may be is not always a case.

Boy was visibly uncomfortable with my discovery but in order to save his face I told him I'm for massage only and I like kissing boys but don't have sex with them , story  he bought with visible relief - I guess he was afraid if pain
