There is plenty of gay scene in the open in Thailand....but there is plenty that is underground as well. Lots of luck getting photos of it though.... Quote

Yeah there's plenty of gay stuff in the sois and alleys and upstairs of bars thats more discreet than what you would find in the open but its not underground Quote

During a quick online search I came across this guy, Chris Coles, and while IMO he's not really that great an artist, in his distinctive expressionist style he depicts the nightlife of Bangkok quite well I think. It's almost entirely focussed on the girly bar and club scene but each painting comes with an explanation, some quite funny such as the Reincarnated German sex tourist soi dog. From your punctuation in the op I think you mean "gay", "artistic" and "underground" are separate items on your list, whereas commentors interprete it as "gay underground scene" and "gay artistic scene"? The person on this board with the broadest knowledge seems to be pond (if you can decipher his cryptic posts), and I would tentatively put myself on second place. I don't think there are many gay Thai boys who have an overview over the entire gay scene. Roughly, I would say there are the following areas: Silom, Saphan Kwai, OTOKO, Ramkhamhaeng and then there are discos, saunas, internet, street trade, toilet cruising, massage; a broad field to cover. vinapu 1 Quote
