Demonstrations in Bangkok

Recommended Posts

Any visitors or non Thai residents being effected by these demonstrations.

I am not currently in Thailand and have always found in the past that foreign news organizations tend to make these things bigger then they are.

Just wondering??

I'm here now, yes there are some traffic disruptions, some gatherings but not on a big scale  at least in the Silom area where I'm camping now  due to availability of churches of various denominations in the area as you can guess.

No more nuissance than occasional accident or road repair.

Had some delays with taxi to and from Sanam Luang area.

Going there took 1h15min, usually 45min.

Going back the taxi went across the river to avoid difficult areas, resulting in a fare about 100 Baht higher then usual.

Part of Ratchadamnoen and other roads north of it were closed for traffic when I went there earlier this week.
