firecat69 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 We all know drugs are a problem everywhere. Nice to see them catch and deport a USA smuggler. I wish we would see more of this. They prey on the weak and deserve the worst the world can offer. Follow link: http://www.bradenton.com/2013/09/27/4741579/suspected-us-drug-smuggler-deported.html Quote
Bob Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 It appears that the "drug dealer" business was only a cover and he was the leader of some outfit that did contract hits. Story here: http://us.cnn.com/2013/09/27/us/ex-army-drug-trafficking/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 Quote
Rogie Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 More 'hit men'! The seamy underworld of drugs seemingly knows no bounds: Recent article in The Observer (sister paper to The Guardian): Last week the FBI arrested Dread Pirate Roberts, founder of Silk Road, a site on the 'dark net' where visitors could buy drugs at the click of a mouse. Though Dread – aka Ross Ulbricht – earned millions, was he really driven by America's anti-state libertarian philosophy? The "dark net" or the "deep web", the hidden part of the internet invisible to Google, might sound like a murky, inaccessible underworld but the reality is that it's right there, a click away, at the end of your mouse. It took me about 10 minutes of Googling and downloading to find and access the site on that February morning, and yet arriving at the home page of Silk Road was like stumbling into a parallel universe, a universe where eBay had been taken over by international drug cartels and Amazon offers a choice of books, DVDS and hallucinogens. http://www.theguardian.com/society/2013/oct/06/dark-net-drugs see also the thread on this forum on drug seizures: http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/9178-drug-seizures/ Quote
