TotallyOz Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 For a week, I tried to access the site and it does not work. I am in Bangkok. The site says: Not Found Anyone else having issues? Quote
kokopelli Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 In Pattaya and no problem accessing Sawatdee although sometimes I do get that message but try again. TotallyOz 1 Quote
mahjongguy Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Are you using True Online? 'Cause that won't work. TotallyOz 1 Quote
TotallyOz Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 I am in a Hotel and not sure the provider. But, I have been getting that for a while. It was on and one for 2 months on this current trip to Thailand but usually back on. This time, it has been one week at least and I can't see any page on the site. Quote
mahjongguy Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Try it from Cooloo. http://cooloo.org/ TotallyOz 1 Quote
Guest anonone Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 SGT has some weird routing problems. On some providers, or in some situations, it just doesn't work. I am not tech enough to understand how it happens, but if you engage a VPN proxy, you can get to it without issue. (which is why cooloo worked for it). It is a known problem, but must be difficult (or expensive?) to remedy as it has been going on for quite awhile. Quote
Bob Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I thought everybody knew for years about this problem (there probably have been 100+ posts about it over the years). I use True internet in Chiangmai and can't get the site (not that it usually ruins my day....). Some have thought the government was blocking the site but that's not the case, just some unusual problem that prevents access to the site as noted by Mahjongguy. Quote

If the government is not blocking the site, an easy switch to another hosting company would most likely solve the issue. Quote
Guest surfcrest Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 As the current Sawatdee owner.....I can tell you that I'm very aware of the problem. I'm not certain what all the source(s) of the blockings are, but my technical support colleague and I hope to try a few solutions over the coming months in hope that we will be able to finally solve this nuisance once and for all. As anoneone mentioned, this has indeed been going on for several years. Surfcrest Quote

They may have had your IP blocked or the name blocked and a switch in IP's might be the catalyst to undo the block. Just a suggestion. Wishing you great success in your new endeavor. Quote
KhorTose Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 As the current Sawatdee owner.....I can tell you that I'm very aware of the problem. Surfcrest While I normally dislike censorship, getting rid of the Neal talk and the Bitch Board talk has resulted in a great improvement to SGT, and I too wish you success. kokopelli, baobao and williewillie 3 Quote
