Guest dekdek
In my apartment, which is available for rent, I have a bath with a shower overhead. Some friends said "rip the bath out as it is old fashioned, and also it may be an inconvenience to lift your leg up to get into the bath, whether having a shower or bath." I would have thought some people would like a good old soak (sorry the bath is not big enough for 2 people, uless you like to squeeze together). And where did good old bath salts go to. Should I rip it out.
Gaybutton
Should I rip it out. Why rip it out? If you like a bath, you have a bath tub. If you like a shower, you also have one. I fail to see any point in taking it our unless you intend to remodel the entire bathroom.

As you get older a good soak is appreciated and for re-sale to a family a bath for young children is essential.
Up2u
Do what makes you happy. If you don't take baths and you are going to be there for some time I would rip it out. I find as I age my current bath tub/shower is becoming a nuisance because I only take showers and later in life it might even become a safety issue (stepping and slipping). Guest Pearl69er
"As you get older a good soak is appreciated "--and the harder is to get in and out of the damn bath. Rip it out and put in a spa bath and shower--then everyone is happy.
Guest wowpow
I have just had my small bathroom redone and the bath removed to make a spacious shower. It does not seem to affect the value of the property whether you have a bath with shower or a shower only. I suppose that the ideal is to have a large jacuzzi and a seperate shower. The bath had not been used as a bath for 5 years so I don't think it will be missed. Thai guys can spend hours in he bathroom. A couple of times, in hotels, I have found a boy splashing around happily in the bath with lot of foam and, on both occasions, wearing a shower hat? Guest lvdkeyes
One man's opinion: When I had my renovation done, I had the bathtubs removed and a large shower put in the Master bath and a smaller shower and stacked washer and dryer put in the other. For me it was the most practical thing to do and after 1/1/2 years, I still think it was a good decision.
