Problem with sending PMs

I cannot seem to send a pm today. When I click on my name, the drop-down menu does not appear. Anyone else find this?

No (probably only because I rarely send a PM) but I've noticed a couple of problems in the last couple of days. The first (this will be a rather low-tech explanation given the source) is the log-in page (the top of the front page) doesn't appear all the time and some partial page (saying Internet Explorer can't find it or something like that) appears. The second problem I've noticed is when trying to reply to a post. You'll see one reply I made where several letters appear above and below the quoted part (I didn't do that, the program did).

Not that big a deal but something a little weird has happened for the last day or two.

And now I do not get the formatting bar when I try to make a post.

It works fine for me and I just tested in Firefox and IE and safari.   but, if you don't see your name on the forum area, you may have to return to homepage of site and then click back on forum as you might have been logged out of forum.  That happened to me a few days back.

Thanks Michael. Problem solved.

If you also had to go to the home page and return that is a problem that has to be fixed. I thought it was just me.

I sent a pm today and when I checked it said BLOCK

by the name I pmed. I hit the block and then it

said unblock. I hit unblock and it went back

to block. Very queer as I am certain I never

blocked anyone. Very strange!!

Block means you were blocking the other person. Unblock means you were unblocking him. If you were blocked, you would not have seen the message.

I understand what block means. I don't understand why fountainhall was blocked,

as I am certain I never blocked him.

I was only trying to explain to you what you said in your post. You sent a PM to FH. Great. When you look at that PM it says you can Block FH. If you hit that button, you then blocked him. If you see the word Unblock, it means you can unblock him. In other words, he was not blocked until the hit the word Block.

To test this, send another PM to a friend. Once done, you will again see the word Block. That is letting you know you have the option to block someone.

Foul play is another and stronger possibility. Maybe a wacky hacker.

Dude, that is just insane. I have told you that this happens on EVERY single PM you send. You ALWAYS have the ability to block someone via PM's. It is part of the software. I even gave you a suggestion to test this. Instead you think a hacker or a ghost. LOL

Working now. Don't understand why a fellow poster

would take my comments personally. My comments were directed towards the owner of the

website, not another poster.

Calling someone's comments insane is rather

Strong and heavy handed from one member

to another member.

I didn't take it personally at all. But, when someone shows you a tomato and you swear it is a potato, surly you don't expect everyone to just agree with you.

I didn't realize your comments were directed to the owner. In this thread, the one you posted in, I didn't see comments from the owner. I would assume that if you wish to direct comments to him, you would have started a new thread or sent him a PM. How about next time, you start a thread called: Attention Scooby ONLY - No other member comments needed. When I see that, I'll know it is not for me to chime in.

Me thinks you must have taken my comments too personally. :)

As you and I don't know each other I can't imagine why you would take my comments in the wrong way. Surely, the army of men you hang around must have told you that I am always willing to help out a weary stranger. If I offended you in any way by trying to assist you, my deepest apologies. It was not my intent for you to take things so personally (as we have never met, never broken bread together, never lived through a night of horrendous disco music together or experienced any things that most in LOS do that connect them). We are simply strangers in the night.
