Fantastic time at Double Shots in Pattaya where the old Corner Bar was once. The new owner has done an incredible job with the renovations and the decorations. It looks amazing and the prices are reasonable.

This bar has the potential to become the most happening place in all of Pattaya. Drop in and give them a shout out!

That's quite quick, just one day open, and such eulogies.

I don't go to bars to drink (I can do so at home, with drinks bought from 7/11, much cheaper), I don't go there for the interior decoration, I go in order to off someone to take back to my room.

Others might be tempted to suggest that it was overly quick. Indeed, that the poster who only registered today might even have some involvement in the bar. Note - I did say "others"!  :shok:

Perhaps "kudos" might be more appropriate since "eulogies" typically are given after death?

Christian, I had hoped to have a drink with you sometime however now I suppose you will have to off me and the bf for one of your threesomes instead?

It takes boys to make a bar.  Hype is just hype and pretty lighting gets boring very quickly.  Time will tell

Double shot maybe one shot wonder. The night after it's opening, it was closed up tight.

The bar opened for a private opening Sunday and has been closed since then, including last night.

There is a whisper that the staff ALL resigned after the first night.

Something does not seem right Hope it gets its act together soon.

I can't recall hearing of "Official Openings" which are then followed by closure for however long. Hotels frequently have "soft" openings" to get some of the rooms on to the market and the staff up to speed, with a big shindig to follow later when all the rooms are ready.

Perhaps this was a "Dreamliner" sort of opening and it will be up and running again in 3 months time when the fire extinguishers work!  :shok:

The scuttlebutt was that the staff all quit after one day.  My guess is that the new owner

doesn't know the ropes and might have caused some staff members to lose face.
