Time for another short Quiz, this one to test your memory. Ten questions - and all you need to get right are 4 of them.

If you rush in with your answers, you may spoil it for others. So I'd suggest you just do it on your own and I'll print the answers later tomorrow. You can then see how you got on. But no cheating and no use of the internet!

i) How long did the Hundred Years' War last?

ii) Which country makes Panama hats?

iii) From which animal do we get cat gut?

iv) In which month do Russians celebrate the October Revolution?

v) What is a camel's hair brush made of?

vi) The Canary Islands in the Pacific are named after what animal?

vii) What was King George VI's first name?

viii) What colour is a purple finch?

ix) Where are Chinese gooseberries from?

x) What is the colour of the black box in a commercial airplane?

I'll own up. I failed! I only got 3 right!

I knew the Hundred Years War was not hundred years long, and my first guess was 116 (I had this question before), and if you know that Russia changed from the Julian to the Gregorian calendar after the revolution, you can figure out the answer. All others: no idea.

Anyone who saw "The King's Speech" might have realised that King George VI's first name was Albert. I knew Chinese gooseberries come from New Zealand, and I have seen too many "Air Crash Investigation" programmes on TV not to know that black boxes are orange. As for the rest, I was clueless!

I have a "WW2" pic I made for Christian a long time ago - he wasn't offended in the least and found it quite funny,  so I'll post it here :
