Another Board Dies

I thought twice about posting this. I decided to do so only because if I don't do so, someone else will. So there is little point keeping the information quiet.

 

The Thailand Bitch Board’s short ‘on and off’ existence has finally ended. This was the Board that LMTU hailed on other forums as being one with thousands of readers and the only one worth posting on!  Not surprising, really, that it had hardly any posters and most of those had multiple heads 

 

So far the new Board has only 7 foul threads and 8 posts – all by its creator, clivejames – the one who recently failed to disrupt this Board. The character of the posts is not really surprising, considering this person describes himself as -  

Im just a BUM that hates authority.

Never worked a day in my life.And never will.

The taxpayer's look after me.

You say Bitchboard is dead but then you say it has 7 "new" threads and 8 "new" posts and (in your final sentence) that you'll give it a few weeks - as I say, I don't understand.

 

Oh, I notice you reference Thailand Bitch Board - we are talking about Pattaya BitchBoard aren't we? Or has another sprung up?

Hey, Founty - disregard my previous confusion. I didn't bother going to PBB to check on what's happening because it's been behind a password wall for some weeks and as I'm not a member I didn't see the point of visiting.

 

Now that I've visited, I see that the password wall is down (with all abuse removed) and "Bitch Queen" aka **** has posted a message saying that board is now closed but that a former member who is totally "committed" (and so he should be) has opened a new board called PGBB.

Sorry about the vagueness in my OP. This seems to be my day for errors! I should have added that whilst the old Board has died, a new one with a different name has sprung up.

I posted the information because it is being discussed on other Boards and I don't see any reason not to at least mention that the old one died. Mind you, the new one seems to have gone private - so it may already be on life-support.

Anyway, the level of the new board is indicated by 2 current threads which speculate in a cruel and vile fashion over how soon, where, and in what manner the owner of SGT forum will die.  Quality stuff indeed. "Avoid" would be my advice.

 

And with that I shall not comment further. Probably. Maybe.

Unfortunately I believe the new (sic) site maybe in the hands of  desperate people.  Having exhausted there places on the other forums they are desperate to try to keep there only avenue open to vent real feelings.

One of them is not well at all and this is his only way to try and get back at people and society in general.

Further to Ultimo's comment regarding an individual who isn't well, we have to bear in mind that can cover a whole range of conditions. For example I was really shocked to read an article recently where I learned that between 1993 and last year 900 people in Britain had been homicide victims. Not from all causes, but specifically from a person with mental health problems. The majority of victims were people known to the killer, but quite a few were completely random assaults. We touched on this briefly in the thread in the Beer Bar several months ago in relation to the gun killings in America. It is thought the true figure may be around 100 victims a year in Britain. In the late '80's a very good friend of our family was killed by a patient in a psychiatric hospital environment. She was a health service professsional just doing her job, then Wham! The hospital social services were found to have been negligent in their care of a highly disturbed individual.

 

I'm no psychiatrist, but when people start acting strangely we need to take note. As so often happens, people are wise after the event, so that people like social workers, doctors etc who ought to have taken preventative action, either did nothing or were ineffectual.

 

So if the person referred to in the previous post is reading this, get a grip mate, you almost certainly need help.

He has admitted elsewhere to being bi-polar and living on a Disability pension due to this and other problems.

 

He has also announced that he is leaving Thailand to go home. 

 

Whether anything he says can be believed, and whether anybody cares either way, is another matter.

But as has been said here before, since some warped individuals are determined to run amok with trash that would make school playground bullies blush, it's better that that they do it on their own patch.

Posters on this Board frequently "let out what they think". But they do it usually in a respectful way, as the vast majority of grown-up adults tend to do. I admit there have been a very few exceptions, and we all know the background to those little stories.

 

However, to suggest that persistent libellous and moronic barbs at a selected few individuals whom someone happens not to like - or who happens to think it would be a good idea not to like by jumping on the bandwagon of the moment (and, let's face it, that's precisely all it amounts to) - is permissible, is frankly laughable! That has nothing to do with letting off steam. It has everything to do with anonymous character assassination

Funny I seem to remember another of this board and myself saying exactly the same thing not so very long ago, nice to see others agreeing ( albeit eventually), I wonder do some other members here who took part also agree or perhaps still think it was all should have been quite acceptable to reasonably minded adults - I'm guessing not mind now due to their new found home, oh how the fickle wind of change blows eh :-)
