Guest fountainhall Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 From a fellow rambler, 'welcome'!! I do agree with a great deal of what you write. Everyone is different and I have found every relationship is different. As I said earlier, I also dislike the often held view that every guy from Issan (or Chiang Rai or Hua Hin or wherever) has little English and/or must be a money boy. I have only known a few guys from Khon Kaen (through chatting and occasionally meeting), all speak reasonable English (two work in top hotels) and none is a money boy - unless you regard Bt. 100 or so for transport as qualifying as a money boy. I enjoy it when they come round for a meal after work and a few drinks. Just chatting with them is great fun. As for texting, a very close farang friend of mine whom I have known for decades texts his businessman bf a dozen or more times every day - and they've lived here together for years! It's almost as though the printed word has taken over from the spoken word - until they are both together in the evenings. Texting drives me up the wall, but that's my problem. I'd far rather chat on Skype. But I fully accept that's not always possible. Quote
Guest thaiworthy Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 No2, wow, that was a lot to say, thanks for sharing your story and for the compliment as well. Your experiences sound incredible and wonderful and utterly promising. Best of luck to you and yours for a bright and happy future. Quote
Guest abang1961 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 It is good to know that NOT all Thai boys are the same. So cliche but true... SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT. On behalf of all Asian guys, whether properly schooled or not, we do have our pride and honour. It is admirable that they (the Thais) do constantly upgrade their proficiency in different languages. Yes the bar boys may be double-timing but that is a way of survival. Man, they work hard for the money. For those with a Thai bf/lover, remain faithful and steadfast. To those without one but is actively searching, wish you find one in the year of the SNAKE/very soon. Quote
TotallyOz Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 Well, I just did a 3 way and it was great! 3 way Skype that is with the boyfriend and the other boy special that lives with us. When I put the two of them together, all they do is chat in Thai and laugh and gossip. But, I just enjoy the laughter. 1 hour is a long time to talk to anyone but I can't think of a better way to end my night. Quote
Guest thaiworthy Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Skype is great. I use it to talk/video chat with family back home. Skype to Skype is free. Quote

Guest scottishguy Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 A conference call, Michael? How many boyfriends do you have? Quote
Bob Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 A conference call, Michael? How many boyfriends do you have? Too numerous to count. When the palimony lawsuits started, it was an international class action lawsuit! Quote
Guest thaiworthy Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Yes, and you can even do multiple video chats together like a conference call. That is great! I'd have to say there's not enough bandwidth to conference in all of those boyfriends! Quote
KhorTose Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Too numerous to count. When the palimony lawsuits started, it was an international class action lawsuit! I heard that the Thai army made him clean up his act on dating the troops. He is now limited to just one division. Quote
Guest scottishguy Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 On a "sluttiness" theme, it reminds me of my much younger days when for a year or so (late 70's) I worked for a very large firm of what in the UK is called Bookmakers (i.e. gambling shops) - William Hill to be precise Many of the women who worked there as Cashiers were very ......"earthy"....... and the banter was often quite risque. Now this is 100% true - one day a customer came up to the Counter with a question about a mixed-sport bet which he proposed to put on: Customer: Hey, hen (a Scottish term of endearment to women) - can ye take a Horse and a Football Team at the same time? Cashier: Well, bring the Football Team in first and I'll see how I get on Quote
