TotallyOz Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 It is very hard to describe the Sriracha Tiger Zoo near Pattaya. All I can really say is it is a day filled with fun and often unusual things. I love petting the tigers and at this place, you can pet the baby tigers, feed the baby tigers and even pet a full-grown tiger. You can spend time up close and personal with a variety of animals from orangutans to camels to elephants. You can feed the crocodiles. You can ride an elephant. You can hang out with the Scorpion Queen. You can see a fabulous elephant show and a tiger show. Today, there was a group of young kids there from a local school and they were preparing for the running of the bulls in Spain. To do this, they were running with the pigs. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. The boys and I had fun today and we always enjoy the day. It is too far for me to ride on a motorbike so we took a taxi. He was with us the entire time and the cost was 1,000 baht or about 30 USD for the day. He took us there and brought us back. When we got there, he wanted to get the tickets for us. I agreed and it as 450 baht each. But, I think he must have pulled some trick as I think he must get a commission or something. We ate lunch there as well and they have great fish, shrimp, crocodile, and other animals. I love their ginger snaps. We have an amazing lunch with take home enough for another meal for 1,200 baht. The day was fun and enjoyable! I hope you enjoy a few of the photos. Thanks to MrBill for reminding me I haven't been there in a long time! ChristianPFC, kokopelli and Rogie 3 Quote

TotallyOz Posted November 15, 2012 Author Posted November 15, 2012 You get food poisoning from the crocodile meat?? Yeah, I think we all got sick. ;( So, I'd like to revise my statement above saying how great the food was! It was a great experience to end up in the hospital. Quote
Rogie Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Sorry to hear you had to go to hospital after eating croc. Were you joking, did you really eat crocodile meat? What did it taste like and does it have to be cooked in any particular way? Are we going to see it on sale in franchise outlets any time soon? Quote
kokopelli Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Can't speak for Michael but I have eaten croc meat and found it quite tasty. I believe it was sautéed but not sure. There was a restaurant in Pattaya which served a combo of croc, roo, and ostrich. TotallyOz 1 Quote

Had some crocodile meat and other items on the menu but they didn't settle well with me and I have been pretty pooped for over 24 hours. It tasted like chicken. Snake takes like chicken. It was good and they cooked it with some spices that the boys liked. Quote
