TotallyOz Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 There is so much to see and do near Pattaya. If you visit here, a great day trip with the BF is to the Nong Nooch Gardens. It is really beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable. http://www.nongnoochgarden.com/ Quote
kokopelli Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 My visit to Nong Nooch was a flop. For one thing the bf was not into walking and the place is spread out and it was summer so a bit hot. We tried to use the shuttle bus but the people running it did not know what they were doing. We asked when the next bus would depart; "2PM" and at 2 PM we were told 3PM. No one ever said where or if you could buy a ticket in advance, etc. Just too lazy to do their jobs. Sound familiar? Quote
ChristianPFC Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 How did you go there? Taking taxi from Pattaya (that's how I went, 800 Baht return) is quite expensive, there is no public transport. Arranging pick up at your hotel is possible, but then you have to book a day in advance. I enjoyed my trip two years ago and want to go again, a regular bus service from and to Pattaya would be great! Quote
kokopelli Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Christian, the bf drove me there in his Porsche. Maybe I can arrange transport for you? Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I see a new service on the horizon - Koko-charabangs! Quote
TotallyOz Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Koko, I find that most of the places like this including the Tiger Farm and water parks etc. the workers are very unmotivated to offer assistance unless they are making money on something. I find this is pretty consistent and did not notice any difference at this place. Christian: I drive a motorcycle and I find that it is easy to get around in Pattaya on one. This place is a bit of a distance but not a problem for the ride. I have also been to the Tiger Farm on a motorcycle and that was just a bit too long for me. Quote
TotallyOz Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 You have got to see the fish we fed yesterday at Nong Nooch Gardens! While the feeding frenzy was fun, all I could think is what they would taste like if fried up in my skillet. Quote

It's been 4 years since I've been to thailand (that's gonna change in 2 weeks) but last time I was there NN had an office in Pattaya where you could buy tickets and they took you there and back without the need for 1 day advance booking. Sorry I cannot remember where the booking office was located, but it was a short and inexpensive tuk tuk ride from my hotel near Boyztown. BTW, on the way home they dropped off directly at my hotel. ChristianPFC Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 There is a phone number for their Pattaya and Bangkok office on their website, but no address for the Pattaya office in the internet. That's what I have in mind: just pop in and buy a ticket and get transport included. From their website: Nong Nooch offers a twice daily pick-up service, including entry and shows from your hotel. Leaving 8:30am and 2:30pm. Make arrangements by phoning us, or with a local tourist information.Time: 45 mins Cost : 600THB 8:30 is too early and 2:30 is too late for me. Quote
