Slow Night in Sunee

Recommended Posts

Posted

I had drinks at 4 gogo bars in Sunee last night and stepped into 2 others. All were pretty slow. I was told it may have been a Buddha holiday but not sure. What I do know for sure was that the night was slow for the bars. Crazy Dragon was really quite with only 2 guys on stage and 3 sitting with one customer.

I was there before 10PM so perhaps things picked up a little after I left but usually by 9:30 in this area, you get some good action.

Yesterday was the holiday to mark Chulalongkorn Day, which is not, I believe, a Buddhist holiday. I did note on Friday evening a vast number of cars on the expressways leaving Bangkok - presumably to make it a long 4-day week-end break.

If you wanted to see all the Sunee and BOYZTOWN boys on Monday, I told you where they were, Molum show Soi 3 it was amazing, I hit on a honey of a boy there, could not speak a word of English?

Next one 7th November DON'T MISS IT, best night of the month?

As usual, HeyGay, you were right. I should just place you on speed dial when I go to a bar to check the status. We'll call it the LMTU Hotline for Horny Farangs Look for Hot Alpha Males. :)

Yes I know Alpha male is a dirty word to some of our Mir rotund members, who love the more Fem types, but Alpha types do seem to be in the minority, but more should be arriving daily as we slip I to the high season.

Even though after saying that I have had an amazing 16 virgin alpha makes over the last 3 weeks in pattaya, but I must say only one from a Gay Bar, many from Beach area and nearest to a Bar N.A.B or IDOL disco, but when a guy looks you in the eye for more than 2 seconds you know you can have them, if you chat even if they don't ;)

Bearing in mind Scooby's recent action, I can only assume this has to be some sort of joke :D

Returning to the deletion of posts, however, at least some of what was deleted referred specifically to the subject of the thread. There was what appeared to be a genuine questioning of one poster's claims. That surely is acceptable. To have one poster given the freedom to make unfounded allegations - as on other threads - without the right of others to question them is going to temper any debate to the extent that it becomes so bland as to be barely worth reading, I'd have thought!

Throwing out the good with the bad is an inevitable consequence of certain board policies.

That's fair comment, I agree probably best not to get into slanging matches, but how does one put a 'balance' on clearly nonsensical and exaggerated claims by some posters?

We have a post remaining by a poster who claims to have 'had' 16 virgin alpha males by simply offering a 2-second glace, I don't know about you, but I don't believe a word of it. So my post was a factual account of a genuine incident where 3 Aplha Males high-tailed it when that very same poster came to their bar. I thought that a very fair posting of real events directly replying to that post. Had the poster left it at that so would I.

But even after deleting posts and warning, one poster still tries to push the boundaries with 'bully boy' comment that's not being 'nice'.

As z909 rightly says throwing out the good with the bad is an inevitable consequence. and we just have to live by that, however it is a pity as Fountainhall says that one consequence is that it can lead to blandness. If Heygay didn't click up the views on the thread then it's clear from the numbers it was of interest to many readers.

I think some of Hey Gay posts should be taken for the comedic writing they are. Nobody believes them but they should make us chuckle and they really don't hurt anybody unless someone takes them for real and wants to argue the validity.

Just laugh and move to the next thread!

I meant it was an inevitable consequence of allowing repetitive and disruptive input that persistently tests the boundaries of civilised behaviour.

This goes on for a while, then it blows up and a load of posts get deleted.

All this nonsense is fine if the thread is of no interest & can be ignored. However where people take the trouble to post some high quality content, it's quite disrespectful to have the thread degenerate into a boring squabble.

An alternative would be to take the trouble to recognise who does what and deal with such elements decisively & permanently.

Yes I agree some posts are and should be amusing, But that's not the point Firecat, What is the point of misleading inaccurate posts on a forum if all the other members do is laugh at them? None of the posts on an internet forum can 'hurt' anyone, but again that is not the point. I dont find his writing comedic at all, nor it seems to any other of the gay thailand forums. Not everybody is as experienced on the forums as you, many come here before visits to glean info and i think it's only fair that at the very least info from others can be relied upon.

There is a perfect example of this on another thread about Boyztown. You reported Toyboys exactly as I found it last visit recently, an excellent place. Now what if a newbie, casual visitor or someone on holiday wants to find out from the dozens of bars available to him by consulting the forums to find out which bars might suit his 'requirements'. If one believes Mr Heygay on that thread then you will come to the conclusion that Toyboys is now a purveyor of Man-boys, alpha males, when nothing could be further from the truth. So why should that bar have potential customers by-pass it based on a load of waffle from the likes of Heygay, Both the visitor the bar and possibly the boys who wok there might miss out on a customer due to the false ramblings of someone with an agenda.

So letting buffoons with their exaggerating nonsense be taken as genuine devalues the rest of the members who post genuine and good info. My god, all he needs to do it cut the waffle and post some truth, is that too much to ask?

Please fill this board with "genuine and good info" as opposed to calling someone a buffoon. You have very few posts on this site and thus as such your comment comes really as odd.

As far as Heygay is concerned, he posts "genuine and good info" on threads and he tells about his experiences and they are usually pretty accurate. At times he embellishes and tries his humor which many don't appreciate. However, he has proven to many that he knows the area really well and he does try to help others enjoy Thailand.

Do I think he is wrong in many statements about bars only being successful if they have Alpha males? Yes, I do. But, it is obvious to anyone that has ever visited Thailand. The most successful bars are the ladyboy bars. They pack in more customers, the ladies have more offs and they make more money. You may call this speculation but it is what I believe. Now, does that mean that I don't like Alpha males and would go to a bar with them? No, I love them but when I am with friends, rarely do I ever go to a bar that has what we all like. So, when we find bars that have a good mix, we flock to him and spend money there as we can all find something we enjoy. HeyGay often goes to bars with guys that like exactly what he likes. That is fine too but in his mind, this is what makes a successful bar. It is just not accurate.

Posted

And as I posted on another thread if a new visitor can not discern that there are 5 opinions on ToyBoys one way and one differing opinion and that makes it likely that the majority may be right, then there is probably no way to help him anyways.

Yes No poo, The strange thing is it is true, I have had that amount if guys over the last few weeks, I also would not exspect you to understand how I do it, only to say in my day we did not have Internet dating and Bars to go to, we had to find guys where we could on the street in straight bars, just because you have to sit in a Bar until a boy throws himself at you because you don't have the confidence to proposition a boy on the street does not make me a lier.

Why is this allowed to stand? Well, it's all about who you know, rather than having to respect board rules and other members.

Some members try really hard to post good material here, yet others want to drag it into the gutter.

I am sure you realize this was posted less then 30 minutes before your post? Or, is that oblivious to you?

I will not go that far - but there are clearly some whose objectives in some instances appear to be more than questionable. And that becomes more difficult for some posters to comprehend, especially casual visitors, when the baby is thrown out with the bathwater!

That's clear. However, I have also noticed that this kind of behaviour has been allowed to continue over the long term.

Please. The word Poo is dragging us into the gutter. Get real. That is about as nice a word he could have used to say what he meant.

It really does not make any difference if we believe his story about 16 alpha males. I don't know HeyGay but I do know people where that story could be believable to me but the look would have to be longer then 2 seconds (hehhe)

I have been with average looking people who have no fear walking through Siam Paragon at giving a big smile to some gorgeous hunk and be writing down his number 5 seconds later. I can't do it , maybe most of the posters here cannot do it but some people can.

It's his story. He doesn't care whether you believe it . Frankly I don't care whether any of you believe it.

This is a message board. Take it for what it is worth and don't prolong a discussion such as this by pricking HeyGay for another response.

I am quite sure every one on this board has posted something that certain members have not agreed with including me. Does that mean we have to start a back and forth that does nobody any good and just feeds the original poster.

There are too many informative posts here to allow one or two or three to derail the enjoyment that we have.

And by the way I don't remember HeyGay calling anyone here derogatory names which is pulling us into the gutter!

Oh really? That's not usually the case. What about -

1) Ocean 1

2) Air Hanuman

One consistently misleading at a time when apartments in what is turning out to be a phantom development were still being sold; the other plain wrong.

Posted

You want to drag things up from years ago Who cares. Anybody who lost money in Ocean 1 deserves exactly what they got.

Just because someone posts his beliefs does not mean he cares if you believe him or not. When I post about ToyBoys, I could care less if you agree with me. They are my beliefs. If you find them to be true when you visit then maybe I helped steer you in the right direction. If you hate the line up of boys it does not change my beliefs.

I can't tell you how many times I have visited a Bar because of what someone else posted and was miserably disappointed.

I should be mad at that poster. I think not!. Things change, perceptions change and we are all responsible for our own decisions.

If someone knowingly lies to me in order to get me to sign a contract then I have a right to be mad. I have no right to be mad if I listen to someone on a message board and he turns out to be wrong. Buyer Beware.

We need to grow up and be responsible for our own decisions and especially not blame someone on a message board for a decision we never even made.

I entirely agree with you. One man's meat is the other's proverbial poison. An opinion is just that - and thank goodness we mostly have different opinions, otherwise life would be very boring. But, there is a considerable difference between an opinion and an oft-stated claim -

I only write facts and do my homework to make sure it is the truth, I know that the truth can also some times be more upsetting then lies or Gossip, but this is something that I think should be made aware to readers . . . As I am well known for giving the facts . . .

Anyone who sets themselves up to that standard of veracity is asking to be shot down when the alleged "truth" turns out to be something quite different. With that, you must surely agree?
