Guest timmberty Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 i much prefer draughs any day ... does it show how common i am ? Quote
Guest Jovianmoon Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Draughts? No, not common - but possibly a little lazy Quote
Guest timmberty Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 a little lazy ?? when i say i prefer draughs, i dont mean i actully play it .. my sport of choice is snooker or pool or even a game of darts .. my favorite snooker player used to be jimmy 'whirlwind' white .. from which my ever so funny father gave me the nick name of slight breeze walker.. so if you ever see a farang waltzing around a pool or snooker table in pattaya potting balls all over the place taking money off thai players .. that'll be me!!!! Guest fountainhall Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 my favorite snooker player used to be jimmy 'whirlwind' white Another snooker fan! I saw Jimmy White play only once - in Hong Kong in 1990 in a great line up that included Steve Davis, Eddie Charlton, Cliff Thorburn, Dennis Taylor, Terry Griffiths and the young Thai who actually won the competition, James Wattana. I think he was the first Thai to make it on the world snooker stage. Jimmy White was an amazing potter. What do you think of the new whizz-kid, Judd Trump? i've not seen him 'live' yet, but some of his pots are stunning. And the young kid from Belgium Luca Brecel looks as though he's at the start of a great career. Cute, too!! Quote
Guest timmberty Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 i was speaking to jimmy white just before xmas .. i saw him in an exhibition/potting practice match .. he often goes to pattaya ... he did a show in the pig &whistle 2 years ago ... which i just missed .. judd trump i dont like .. to big headed for me ... win a few things before you tell everyone you are the best player the world has ever seen !! not seen the belgium kid play yet.. but if hes cute then lets hope he does well .. plenty of asian seem to be hot at snooker now-a-days.. hope they dont start taking money off me ! Henceforth you shall be known as Slight Breeze Walker, young padawan I'll look for you upstairs at the Panorama next time I'm in Pattaya! I have to envy you - I'm only passable at pool and utterly useless at snooker. But I'm a great spectator! Cheers Quote
