TotallyOz Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I am considering taking the BF to this resort I found for a week. It looks lovely but I have heard nothing about it. Anyone have any experience with this place? It is on the edge of Krabi's National Marine Park. http://www.rayavadee.com/ It also has great reviews: http://www.tripadvis...i_Province.html Quote
Moses Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Do you trust to review from Tripadvisor??? There are so many fake reviews: exist even special websites where you can buy fake reviews - ppl from India or Bangladesh will be glad to write it just for US$3 per 10 reviews. That why European hotels have so unproportional q-ty or reviews from South Asia in comparing with q-ty of tourists from this countries in Europe. I trust only to reviews at booking.com: there is possible to write review only after confirmed stay in hotel. Quote
Rogie Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I agree treat Trip Advisor with caution. (That's interesting that somebody in India will write your review for you). This below taken from their website - it would be difficult to fake these awards I would have thought. Rayavadee is honoured to have been recognized as one of the most unique five-star luxury resorts in Thailand. Some of the awards and accolades we have received since opening include: Nominated for Travel & Leisure's 'World's Best Hotels' Reader's Choice Awards, 2010, 2011, 2012 UK Tatler Travel Guide's '101 Best Hotels in the world 2010, 2011 & 2012 Ranked in Conde Nast Traveler's Annual 'Gold List - World's Best Places to Stay' 2009 & 2010 Ranked in Conde Nast Traveler's Annual 'Reader's Choice - Top 25 Asia Resorts 2008 & 2009 Excellence Award for 'Best Hotel Project in Southeast Asia' - Asean Association Recipient of 'The Royal Gold Medal for Environmentally - Conscious Architecture' - Association of Siamese Architects TotallyOz 1 Quote

Guest fountainhall Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 When you book luxury hotels in Thailand, do you get your bf to make the booking? Most, including this one, have special discounted rates for Thai residents. However, the cheapest residents rate for November is Bt. 18,330 whereas agoda has it at Bt. 13,500. Quote
