Guest snapshot Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 And as long as my board continues to run trouble free I see no reason to install these "upgrades." You keep saying it takes care of security issues. I'm not having any security issues. So, I repeat: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That saying's valid in some instances but when it comes to commercial websites, applying that saying is death. Firstly, your site I notice is an extremely simple, non-commercial board. It looks like "keep it simple" is the overriding principle - nothing wrong with that in itself if you have valid reasons for it. It doesn't run ads. It doesn't accept payments. It doesn't have other plugins and platforms integrated. Applying the same approach from your site to another completely different site with different purpose is unwise. Secondly, Michael is right about keeping up with updates to prevent security issues. It's one of those things you can be proactive about or wait until something happens and be reactive. Proactive tends to get you ahead. Reactive keeps you mediocre or worse. It's all about prevention. The fact you've had no problems yet isn't a valid measure of performance. Just as the fact there haven't been any fires or deaths from fire at DJ Station isn't a valid measure of its fire safety standards. You used to be able to get away with not bother to upgrade stuff for years but these days, things are just moving too quickly and more and more people are finding out (often the hard way) that they need to be pro-active. Guest Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 The new quote facility just doesn't work properly. Last time, I selected quote and the quick editor would not allow me to input text AFTER the quote. Had to select the full editor. Quote

Guest Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Just use "arrow down" to move cursor below the quotation Out of habit, I expect to use my mouse to select the cursor position, although your method is undoubtedly quicker, considering both hands start on the keyboard. THIS time, both methods work OK, but on the previous post I made the mouse would not allow me to position the cursor below your quotes. Quote
