Gay Thailand Forum Board Updates and New Features

Yes something I would like very much is, to take off the pictures of half naked men, on the front page, when I like to some times browse these, forums, in a public place, as I seem to be doing less and less now days, as they are very slow, 3 weeks seems to be the period of change., its so embarrising to hide the darn photos.

Thanks to Gaybutton curing me of my obsession of writing after every post I thought was worth writing about, not as much as his obsession, but I'm cured now we have to help him ;)

But cant you put those photos where you have to click on them if you want to see them, I’m sure you don’t make a fortune from seeing them, if there was a way we can open the forum page, with out those photos showing, it would be wonderful, I know many others who feel the same. it also makes this web site a lot more sleazy, but living in Thailand I expect its selfish, as we can have as many stunning guys as we love, even better some times than those showing here, in moments of walking out the door.

Yes, you're right, I feel the same . . .

As discussed here a few months ago, if you don't like 'em there's a solution. . . a neat little tool called Ad Block.

I'm no techie but I use it and it's dead easy to set up. :) Now I no longer have to suppress my giggles at the sight of guys with bananas stuffed down their pants.

The same here... I block it by antivirus's firewall at next day.

By any chance, do they also make one called 'LMTU Block'?

You're right on the button!

Of course they do, it is called a thick skin,. However, not everyone can grow one and those that can't have to resort to cotton pajamas, wool sweaters, or iron fists.

Reminder: Snappy little one-liners may be funny at times but full out attack posts will be deleted :ninja:

Of course some other boards have an INGORE feature. It there's one here, I've never managed to find it.

In case anybody is wondering why I am repeating what has already been posted, whilst I was typing the above Michael started a new topic specifically to address the ignore issue.

Maybe I can raise another issue: why, when Michael has been on line in the past few minutes, doesn't his name appear on the list of users within the past 60 minutes?

Is there an option to go on line anonymously? If so I think that's poor form, but that's just my opinion. Just as a matter of interest how's that done?

Here's the timeline taken just now showing 1 member (me) 131 guests (who cannot post) and zero anonymous users, so how does Michael accomplish it?

132 users are online (in the past 60 minutes)

1 members, 131 guests, 0 anonymous users

Odd as we were on at the same time and mine show I was the only one online and NOT you.

Well, maybe you're using Windows XP . . .

No, only a moron would be using an outdated version of XP. ;)

and, odd that GB just posted but was not on the log in list either. Sneaky!

How true. This particular moron uses an outdated version of Windows XP because it works perfectly, rather than using a new version of Windows that gets more complaints than Carter's has liver pills. I think I'll just continue my "moronity," thank you very much.

Well, since Windows XP doesn't explain the current problem, now you get to tell me again all about how wonderful this trouble-free board software works with all the updates - you know, the ones you are refusing to explain what improvements they've made, what security issues they cure and what security issues this board ever had in the first place.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Oh my! I am so sorry if you thought I was referring to you. Wow. That did not even cross my mind. I sincerely apologize if you feelings were hurt.

As for your saying, I have been trying to get you to think like Bill Clinton. I'll leave you with just one word.

Arithitemic

2+2=4

As long as you think the answer to the above is 3, we will never have a good discussion. :)

Are you kidding? With all the names I've been called over the years, you don't really think that hurt my feelings, did you?

I'll leave you with just one word.

Arithitemic

Quite an interesting word. Maybe in that sense 2+2 really does = 3. The word I use is Arithmetic. That's where 2+2 somehow manages to = 4 . . .

Let me bring the topic back to the photos at the top of the forum page - the Flirt for Free guys, although nothing is free these days and I know you cannot just sit there and watch them for more than a few teasing minutes without coughing up some cash.

Purely in the interests of research ;) , for the first time ever (true!), I decided to check out some of the guys over the past couple of days - just looking! I have to say, some of these guys are quite gorgeous. Clearly there is a demand for whatever it is they do, for the chat boxes against the cute ones were heaving with comments from guys seemingly from all over the world - comments that sometimes would not be allowed on this Board, I might add! :o

I found Zander Sparks (in full HD - that's 'high definition' folks, not 'hard dong') Alessandro May (‘may’ what, I wonder?) and Rico Cummer interesting, although Johnny Strokes, John Hardon and Ebony Thick are just not my type! And I wondered if Nicolas Nico’s 9 inches are a bit of a stretch of his imagination. ;)

Now, I realise that you can buy your way into a private chat with a guy. Presumably he then acts out your fantasy. But can anyone who knows about these sites tell me typically how much it costs for, say, a private 15 minute session with a guy; and equally typically, how much would they be likely to earn over the space of, say, a month. With all the lusty comments I saw, I expect it must be a pretty lucrative business.

Not, of course, that I am thinking of changing my line of work. With my Liberace gear, I might outshine some of the duller ones B) ! But perhaps there are one or two GT members out there who might wish to consider making an extra buck or a thousand :D

Well, I never managed to figure out how to move stuff around after the board was updated. Maybe one of the current mods will figure it out.

Like me: I'm dull as can be. Like Liberace's alter ego - he can't have been incandescent 24/7 - I expect he was quite a dull boy when stripped of his finery away from the limelight. Perhaps he wore Y-fronts whilst practicing.

Done. I expect a Christmas present.

Hehe! Liberace in Y-fronts? Spangled ones studded with diamonds perhaps ;) . Yes, I guess away from the limelight he was just your everyday simple ring-wearing, besequined multi-millionaire :o . On which topic, I still love the Liberace sneakers I got at his Museum in Las Vegas a few years back (note the candelabra in the laces :p - even though the pic does not reveal the glitter, they are a real 'hit' at parties, I can tell you! OMG! I almost wrote Let Me Tell You :excl: ). Sadly, the Museum closed only recently

His 18-year old boyfriend did not paint a very flattering picture of his lover, but then would a scorned maiden thrown out of the house at 23 write anything else? That story is filming now for an HBO movie with Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as the lover (presumably told after the fact - not even Matt Damon can look 18!!).

Still, the book seems to paint a pretty unflattering portrait with the star surrounded by a load of wannabes and protectors of the 'image'. There’s another rather unflattering account of him in some blog I found. If you can read through the forked tongue, I suspect there is more than a grain of truth here.

Liberace was a genteel, half innocent culture whore, gambling the soul of history on the craps table of showbiz, a strange, inbred cross between a historian and a pimp. He worshipped nobility, but did it with only half the cultural education necessary to pull it off. But he had just enough class to fool his audience of middle-class, unquestioning, mostly conservative housewives and their tag-along husbands. Liberace knew enough about Victorian culture to know which goblets he just had to own, but not enough to know that any proper owner of fine cut crystal would never place them on the same table with the world's most gauche sequinned napkin rings. Liberace didn't know when to quit because Liberace didn't know where class began and where gauche left off.

I have already started working on it! It will not be easy :ninja: but the Dom Perignon is nicely chilled!

Those sneakers are nice. I like anything different and there's no doubt they're different all right. A bit like same same but different, these are different different and definitely not same. (sorry, sounds a bit like Peter Piper etc. try saying it fast).

A quote from the Inside TV link above:

Weintraub said in a statement.

I am thrilled that we have the incomparable Michael Douglas to inhabit the role of Liberace, as well as the exceptional Matt Damon to play the pivotal part of Scott Thorson. Putting these two fine actors in the creative hands of Steven Soderbergh, it doesn't get any better than that!

Gosh, are all execs so gushing! By his mere utterances you can tell he's fallen under the Liberace spell already.

And what's all this about Thorson's pivotal parts? Hands off the young man I say! :p

Typical entertainment biz speak. Same as politician speak, only the product is usually different - but then not always! Some politicians are just a laugh a minute, with the occasional pause for a decent wretch :o

Down, down Khun Rogie! No need to get worked up. The quote did say "pivotal part", but then we can all guess what that must have been like, knowing Liberace's love of prodigiously long candelabra standing proudly erect on his extra-long (8' 11.75") concert grand pianos

What's a warning point? I see this above the word "gender:" now. It says "0 warning points." What does it mean? I did perform a search for the words, "warning point," but it came back with no explanation. I think it must be something bad, and if it is, I am happy to see I have accrued none in the tabulation. No one else seems to have it, so I have surmised that it is only visible to me. Kinda reminds me of demerit cards when I was enrolled in a Catholic prep school way back when.

When did this start? How are warning points calculated? What happens when you max out your warning points? Are you banished from the Kingdom of Heaven forever? Can you erase warning points by doing something good or does it remain on your record forever? Do I get a prize if I do not accumulate any warning points in a given time period, like a lollipop or something?

I want to be good, I really do, but sometimes the devil makes me do it.

Quoting other people in posts isn't working properly today.

There certainly has been a major change in the way Quotes from other posts now appear. I don't know why, because I thought the old way worked perfectly well. Now when writing posts, you cannot see who made the post you are quoting from. Also, the line spacing seems to be going crazy, often with several blank lines space appearing in the post after it has been made. Posts then require editing just to delete the lines.

Why the change?
