Guest fountainhall Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 A Delta commuter flight about to refuel at Pittsburgh was delayed when a flock of tens of thousands of honey bees took up residence on one wing! I'll bet the passengers were glad they were not actually inside! Apparently, bees are protected and can not be killed, and so a beekeeper had to be called to remove them. As one wag commented: "Seems the plane was filling up with the latest B(ee)P(ee) fuel." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU-2kOw8Amw Quote
pong Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 just heard on the local radio this morning here that in some nearby town bees had chosen a bus-shelter as their home with result that passengers now had to stay aloof and not protect from rains. in general in Europe there are numerous stories that bees are waning and that ''something has to be done'' (I presume by some govmt.?)
