Guest nekete Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Hi people... My visa expires at the end of this month of April, so I have to go out and ask for a new tourist visa or going out and stay in the new destination But I really don´t know where to go. Maybe Indonesia, maybe Phillipines, or Myanmar, ¿India?. Do you have any preferences? Quote
Guest Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 How about: 1 Cambodia. Spend several days in Siem Reap, enjoying the temples. Then pehaps move on to Phnom Pen, Kep & Sihaboukville. 2 Laos. Vientiane is a quiet little capital, then move onto Luang Prabang. Quote
Guest CambodiaOut Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Try Cambodia or Laos, depending on what you want to do and see. Check out http://www.cambodiaout.com this may help you Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Assuming you came into Thailand on a normal tourist-type visa with no re-entry permit, just remember that if you return from Laos or Cambodia by land, you will only get 15 days on entry back in Thailand. Quote
Guest nekete Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Hey, thanks for answering.... Yes, Fountainhall, I know how is point with the visa. Well, Cambodia is one option. I like temples a lot. I´ll check if it´s possible to do some meditation retreat there... I´ve heard that in Malasya is not necessary to have a visa to enter for three months. At least for spanish people. It´s a good point. I´ll tell you more... thanks again. Quote
pong Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 ola, amigo. 1. best general info for this is on thaivisa.com 2. reportedly in Burma=Myanmar they ONLY do visa for locals and people with permit to stay tehre 3. to India is quite far-4/5 hrs flying and India also wants a visum from you-which cost about 70/80 US$ and takes 5 bisnisdays-handled by a private agency, not by their embassy. 4.to enter either Laos or Camb. you need to pay for a visum at the bordr: resp. 35/laos and 20/Camb. US$ + 1 foto. MY is free-it may give 1 or 3 month to EU-citizens. On thaivisa they say the Thai consul in Penang is much easier to handle with as the embassy in KUL-you can get by daily overnight train BKK-Butterworth opposite Penang). Quote
