Kudos to Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London.

On April 1, London’s double-decker buses started carrying a slogan from Stonewall, the organization that promotes gay rights. It simply states –

SOME PEOPLE ARE GAY. GET OVER IT!

In response, a Christian group named Core Issues Trust had planned to run a counter series of ads –

NOT GAY! POST-GAY, EX-GAY AND PROUD. GET OVER IT!

Following a public outcry, London Transport chiefs have confirmed that this new series of ads will not be permitted.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: "It is clearly offensive to suggest that being gay is an illness that someone recovers from and I am not prepared to have that suggestion driven around London on our buses."
