Guest fountainhall Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Hot on the heels of American Airlines going into Chapter 11 bankruptcy and the strong possibility of eventual flight reductions, the Hungarian National Airline, also part of OneWorld, today collapsed due to financial reasons. It is the second European airline to go under this week following Spain's Barcelona-based Spanair (not part of OneWorld). I wouldn't take any bets on their being the last. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 On CNN this morning, the boss of Ryannair said he will be stationing four aircraft in Budapest and start flights from there within 2 weeks. He added he believes more European airlines will go bust this year. Quote
